    • @perffeto
      @perffeto ปีที่แล้ว +8

      That is an absolute LIE. Eritreans used to be united and no one would see their difference (that was during the era of colonization). Now, they are divided and their difference is similar to the difference of their finger prints. Let alone the different ethnic groups, even the dominant and ruling Tigrinya speaking ethnic group is divided in several factions.

What can we say, the country is broken, destroyed , Eritrea has been under heavy sanctions for more than 20 years, everything is closed to us. Eritrea as a country has no foreign aid and loans from the IMF but we are still surviving . When I look at my country, it remained me like Cuba. Because in Eritrea there isn’t any freedom like freedom of expression, no press freedom, no freedom of movement, prisoned without trial, a country with out constitution, no parliament, 32 under dictatorship, one president for 32 year and one party ….. it’s so hard all to explain here. Greit video to enjoy man. Not a little rough though, it is a whole lot rough to live there. Although peaceful, but not so peaceful. I notice there people don't say very much except being very careful on how they speak to a tourist. The assembly of people seems to be only to play chucker.
    Thanks for the video

    Beautiful architecture! You can tell the Italian influence. Italians are known to be great builders. It looks like an abandoned city. Are there any areas where there are many people with many activities like retail stores, coffee shops, restaurants, bars etc…

      They used Eritrean labour which is well known. Romanticising facist colonial Italian architecture that came at the expense of its people.

    • @heruy8274
      @heruy8274 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@BF-bb5usIn all honestly, i think the cure to this mental disease you are refering to is an alternative political ideology that reject the founding role played by Italian colonialism in defining Eritrea in favour of a national identity that emphasize pre-colonial cultural traditions and identity as Habasa people. We must simply reject the legitimacy of a distinct Eritrean state in favour of greater state conceived and built around our ethnic Habasa identity.

    Shoulder check lool, I laughed hard when you said that.
    This is my country and I have been away from it for such a long time that I felt as a tourist watching this video.
    Please visit Keren, the second largest city in Eritrea and you will see how Eritrean people are so divers and the lands are totally different. Asmara is in high lands and Keren is in Lower land. Btw Keren is the place where the Italians were defeated by British in the second world War. You will see war cemetery contains the war graves of 602 Italian soldiers and 614 Ascari (colonial troops) who fell in 1941. In total, there are 1216 war Graves. Keren has history in the world stage.
    Thanks for your videos. I will check for more soon.
    (for North American readers, Keren is the name derived from Eritrean language akhranat meaning mountains because Keren is surrounded by mountains.
    So Keren is not that middle age nasty woman in North America who creats problems 😂)
