- Living on a Tug boat is in one of the coolest things I’ve done so far in my Merchant Seamen career. From working on cruise ships in Hawaii, to sailing around Korean and making stops in Japan. Working & living on a tug boat is completely different and cool in its own right. I have a question buddy. Do you have any idea how to process from Foreign License to have MMC. I don't know if I need to undergo trainings in the US as a Permanent Resident or do i need to redo all my license and stcw certificates into USCG /NMC requirements.. thanks man

No I don’t believe there a certain time of year you should apply , the best thing to do is get the process started as soon as you can so you can hear back from them in a timely manner that’s all .

I know people with felonies who work out here .. I don’t think it will be a problem as long as you can get the basic credentials
@@Tr3TV2022 yeah I applied for my Twic, it’s been about 5 weeks now. It’s still saying it’s in the review process or whatever everytime I check on the status of it. I’ll keep in touch bro

I got adult felony’s and I’m a merchant seaman they only care if you have drug murder or child charges
