- Took the bike to the beautiful Lycke Church during my lunch break today to play a bit on the delightful organ there, built by Pehr Zacharias Strand in 1826! 🙂
Today, I also brought my 'snorgel,' as Andreas Edlund (former organist in this parish) likes to call the instrument, which I blow myself using my mouth. It’s a kind of harmonica, called Melodica, which can easily be used as a second manual for single-manual organs - and it’s convenient to carry in a bag!
The pedal for the organ is the trickiest part; it’s probably poorly designed in that some caretaker, maybe, who knows, might have flipped it 180 degrees sometime early last century because the organist didn’t want to pedal themselves and needed someone else to work the bellows beside them?

@@daniele.82 Thanks for the support, glad you liked it! :) I find this landscape wonderful, and somewhat mysterious…! ;)
It seems a sequence from a Bergman film, one of my favorite..

@@daniele.82- Which one?
These are beautiful sounds and a very good idea to play the missing 2nd manual with this small instrument. It is always impressive what is possible, even with very small instruments! Kind regards, Roland
Thanks, glad you enjoyed the sounds and like the concept! :)
Beautiful, thank you!
