Jon Liinason, organ
It's a bit difficult to convey the feeling, but let's put it this way. It is, for me, a very special and deeply personal experience to encounter an instrument that TALKS to you (I knooow, strange to speak this way about a machine made of wood and leather and iron and other metals), that has something to say entirely of its own accord; that responds, as it were, when you call out...
Here is a first taste of today's encounter with the unique Söderling organ (1855) in Frändefors church in Dalsland. And a big thank you to Mattias Wennberg, who so generously let us in! 🙂
beautiful sound in a beautiful building. So open, light and airy.
A wonderful space, is it not? :)
@@jonliinason3 Yes.
Nice sound recording . The church is beautifully captured and your playing is also beautiful thank you.
Thanks much, glad to hear you enjoyed the video! :)
Fine performance, interesting organ voices! Thank you for posting! (from Canada)
Thanks for reaching out, glad you like it! The organ is rather uniquely preserved from 1855, well worth a visit! :)

Sehr schon! aus California
Vielen Dank! :)
I think I know what you're talking about. I am an organ builder and know the inner workings of many different organs quite well and know what is special about the instrument.
Whenever I have the opportunity in my free time, I play the organ myself and am always enchanted by its sound.
Many greetings to Sweden, Roland
Thanks, Roland! It sounds like you really know your way around an organ, both inside and out. That’s impressive! Many greetings from Sweden - keep enjoying those enchanting sounds!
thank you for sharing :)
My pleasure!
That organ looks like it belongs to 2001: A Space Odyssey's Discovery One.
That's an interesting comparison! The futuristic design of '2001: A Space Odyssey' certainly has a unique aesthetic. It's fascinating to see how different designs can evoke such diverse associations! :)
Bellissimo! Beautiful sound and beautiful instrument, congratulations on the performance!
Thanks Alessandro, glad to hear you liked it! :) Have a nice day!
