    My favorite vegan foods are provided by Buddhist temples in Taiwan. They're free in some temples, but don't forget to put some money in the donation box.

      Cool, we didn't even know that was an option. In Malaysia, we tried a vegan buffet at a temple and that was the first time we'd heard of that. Will have to keep an eye out for that next time we're in Taipei. Thanks!

    minimalism is fanfuckintastic when you are an artist. you keep your mind clear of so much clutter, leaving the creative floodgates to wash on over. leaving the elite level art scene in and around colorado springs, denver, and boulder would be hard to leave behind though lol. there are some ridiculous artists and fabricators out there, holy @#$!. if tawian has the kindest people, thats where i want to be. kindness is way too addicting!

    Loved this video. I have family in Denver actually! So thankful you're still alive after the close accident. You two should make more videos together :3 Can't wait to see you next week in Taipei!!!

      Yes I'm Taiwanese, most of country know about Thailand more than Taiwan 😂

      That’s where the less educated ppl get confused. Especially now days folks have easy access to wealth of information/knowledge via internet that there is excuse of getting confused unless someone doesn’t know how to use the computer. Make no mistake, the concept of ppl getting confused between Taiwan and Thailand is SO yesterday....just my $0.02 cents.

    Congratulations ! ... on spending a year+ in Taiwan, ROC. I spent a year in '99-'00 teaching English for what is now Kojen English .. (?) I have returned for 2 weeks in Oct., 2014, 1 wk Oct. 2014 and 1 wk. July 2016 ! The people are mostly excellent ! (everyone has a bad day now and again), and I'd meet and talk to Taiwanese who'd help me with the day to day. I'd rather buy a person a hot pot meal than subscribe to a service for apt. help. Fascinated with their Representative govt., and useful in English conversation teaching to ask Taiwanese about a subject I was interested in, and have them practice by explaining in English ! :-) ;-)

    curious about your health insurance? What’s the costs of do you even have health insurance?

    • @TheUrbanVeg
      @TheUrbanVeg  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Striation Nation hi! Andrew had the National health insurance through his school program and I didn’t have any. I never went to the doctor but I would have paid out of pocket if needed. Not sure where you are from but by US standards the Taiwan health insurance is very inexpensive.

    • @theteenbodybuilders
      @theteenbodybuilders 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I live in the US so anything is cheaper lol, I plan to live in taiwan and I dont want to be uninsured because it scares me. Does your husband work since he is going to school because I know some visas do not allow it.

    • @TheUrbanVeg
      @TheUrbanVeg  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      My husband got a scholarship through their scholarship program which covers most of your bills. Let me know if you want info on that because he did a full article on it. We also did consulting for companies in the U.S. while we were overseas so that took care of any other expenses. But some of his classmates lives solely off of the scholarship. You can get private health insurance but I'm not sure how much it costs. I can ask a few friends if you'd like? You can also email us at andrew@movingmangoes.com and we can give you any insight you need! :)
