    • Living Abroad As An Am...
Nnenia Yasmeen was ready to take her life in a new direction but wasn’t willing to settle down just anywhere. She had been working as a flight attendant and knew her next step needed to be just as exciting. After doing some research, she landed on an island off the coast of China: Taiwan. Moving to a foreign country can be scary, but the kindness of strangers has made it all worth it. Not to mention meeting the love of her life. Should we delete our dating apps and move to Taiwan??
We caught up with Nnenia to see what it's really like living abroad as a foreigner. See how it is to step out of your comfort zone… and also have to mop the bathroom every time you shower.

Oh you are beautiful and so is your husband. I am Black woman and an AF Veteran. I served abroad too. I wish I had your courage. I was so scared and timid. It was my first time away from home. I was single and couldn't drive. Plus there is a large African community there that openly embraced me but they were treated badly. So I felt conflicted at times. But overall it was a beautiful experience. If I could do it over again I would have made the best of the night scene and traveled to England or France. I was stationed in Verona Italy. Home of Romeo and Juliet. I had a beautiful cottage with a balcony. One of the most beautiful places ever.🙏🙏

If you are a USC and plan on living in the US with your future wife, get married and file the appropriate documents over there in Taiwan instead of US, it greatly expedites the process of bringing your spouse back to the US.
