    Nice to see how you work together.My wife helped me change the engine coolers on my boat the other day couldn't have done it without her. Having a good partner in life is great also all the others that help out. Probably drive by and see the new building on my way to a Auburn. By the way my wife has the same color coveralls keep working hard and your husband is right usually you can do things cheaper yourself take care.

    If you get some jersey gloves, cut the fingers out, place a hot hands packets 🎉in the gloves on the back of your hands, your finger and your hands tips will stay warm.
    Also if you cut a piece of rubber hose that is slightly smaller that the nuts you can place a nut in the end of the hose and it will hold it for you while you spin it in the bolt.
    That building looks like it will serve you well for years. Happy New Year, I’ve survived on potatoes my entire life. Have you ever considered growing Horse Radishes also?

      @@BellsFarming I love the farm lifestyle. I have learned a lot about potato farming. Very interesting. The way you explained everything was enlightening. I grew up on a farm and we had all the varieties of animals, including horses (which I used to raise and train). We grew and sold vegetables, had chickens and sold the eggs and had an orchard. Not a lot of automation back then but I grew up real fast. Worked like a grown man before the age of 10. I enjoyed it,and miss it. Ty for posting and I will watch many more videos.

    we built one on a 6 foot wall of concrete. well actually 4.5 feet..We started the half rings and when they were all built we had two concrete trucks to a side. They poured into valley that walls were set in vibrated them so they were airless or bubbleless went from one end to other end of building. did one side and then did otherside at the same time. so concrete was all done in a matter of 25 minutes. then we built the end walls after concrete hardened put door on one end and in less then 5 days we were done with 170 foot long building 45 foot wide. lots of luck. we humped butt to get ours done.

    I am interested in a building a Quonset on containers as you have done, you did a great job and I really appreciate the video. I am wondering if you had to have an engineer sign off on the container carrying the weight of the load. Perhaps someone could chime in as to my concern, I am in upstate NY so we do have snow load in addition to the building weight. Thanks so much!

    • @shanebell9589
      @shanebell9589 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      We did have to get an engineer to sign off on the attachment to the containers, and the “anchoring “ of the containers to ground, seems they were more worried about the wind blowing it away then anything. I mean you look at container ships, they stack them things 20+ high so the weight rating shouldn’t be an issue. I really like the overall design would definitely recommend

    • @BellsFarming
      @BellsFarming  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes they can be built that way if you wanted to. But you would loose a lot of storage space having the containers inside. It’s not the prettiest building. But it will be the most practical for us! Thank you very much for watching!

    Should be wearing fall restraints. That height could seroius unjure or kill you. I have a 40 foot antenna tower and I would never not wear one while doing maintenance on the tower. I rent a 35 foot lift and still wear one. Its all about safety. Those are huge panels.

      This building really fit our needs, especially with ability to store stuff separately in the containers, and as far as cost vs a steel building, this required 0 concrete. With 4’ frostline concrete adds up quick
