Great to hear and see the up date. Your coming right along with it. It does feel good to work outside after being ccoped up inside. Please stay nice and warm. You going to in close the ends too? Hopefully you don't get the storm we got here. Sub zero temps and about 2 foot of snow. Be safe up there working that high.
The building is looking great, It's going to be a brutal extended cold spell but the bright side is no snow so I guess that'll be a good thing, just stay safe and watch out for frost bite, the wind will be a factor with that.
We have some snow on the ground now, but we have too busy to build in the last week. Orders for potatoes coming in :) we will be back at in a few days I bet
Thanks for the video. I am guessing you need to tighten all the bolts on each ring as you go. Hopefully it stays straight and square as you work your way along.
Hey there. We are going to act to really tighten the bolts after most of it is assembled. I’m not sure the exact number of good you are supposed to finger right before you can go back and start tightening. But I know it’s quite a few. They want you to finger tighten a lot. But we are using impacts on the center seems because you have to suck down the seams where the hoops attach to each other. The panels bolts are looser. So far so good. 🤞🏻

Because I don’t know a thing about how to build these buildings, I’ve only built stick frame, but would it be faster to get all the short pieces or starter courses down each shipping container first then work your way back? Or would that cause an issue with lining up the hoops?
The way this is supposed to be assembled- each hoop goes over the previous. So you could stage them up a little. We found that the hoops flexes better while putting it together when we only do one hoop at a time. The holes do line ip better. Thank you For your input though! And thanks for watching. We are not experts at this either lol I think they have build 1 honest before and grab bins
Hey Molly was it Shane’s idea to mount the Quonset on top of the shipping containers? Great idea! When you get a full frame of the whole thing that is going to be a massive equipment storage area. I was s wondering did y’all remove the doors and back walls that connect both sides of the containers? That would be at least 60-80 feet both sides of even more storage.
Shane found the advertisement on Facebook. It is looking bigger every hoop we complete! We have them arranged so the doors are facing out. So they are not connected from the inside. We are still able to use the space. We plane to kind of use them as rooms. One for tires, one for chemical storage, stuff like that. :) thank you for watching and commenting
