Family killed on the way to UTD move-in day

- A teenager and her parents were killed last week as they drove to North Texas for UT-Dallas' move-in day. Family and friends said Andril Arvind was an incoming freshman set to study computer science.

how many families are dying from car crashes in DFW lately!?????

This is at least the 4th. one in the last few days. Two by my house last week, one in Grand Prairie, and now this one smh
Bad car wrecks are daily and go unreported but yea this Death thing is out control
They happen everyday nearly. Most are not reported. Otherwise that's all the news would be.

Manufacturers should consider capping the maximum speed of consumer vehicles at 70 mph. Given that this speed exceeds the legal limits in most areas, there’s no practical reason for everyday cars to be capable of going faster. This adjustment could enhance road safety by reducing the potential for excessive speeding.

No. The cap should be 100 mph if anything, but I don't see the point in this. You do realize the speed limit in Texas highways is 75? And it's a safe measure to have some speed in case of some emergency too.

I live at 75/Lovers Lane. Every night I hear engines from a half mile away - revving up and racing up and down 75. Every once in a while I'll hear a crash. I've never seen anyone pulled over in the city of Dallas - ever. You can do whatever you want inside the city. Outside the city they'll maybe pull you over but never once have I seen it in the city

On another note, mass growth at our current pace creates bad situations. Construction, transplants and DLs are handed out like bottle water.
Ask the landscaper in the truck smoking, wobbling at 70 while pulling a trailer with bald tires how they passed emissions and keep their stuff on the road.

DFW is the new Houston: its the Wild West on the roads and highways. Try driving anywhere at night on Fridays and Saturdays -- tons of speeding cars, with zero law enforcement in sight.

I'm really sorry to what happened to this family 😞 I hated UTD. It was the worst experience of my life. I dealt with racism and discrimination at the Naveen Business School. Don't go there! It was awful!

These days I drive more like a blue-haired granny than Speedracer.
No guarantee of perfect safety, but my odds of having/causing an
accident have gone way, way down. It's much more relaxing
than always being in a hurry and doing foolish stuff.
Just chill out on the roads and highways...it's the best favor you
