Sorry if I got any names wrong in this video.. this reaction was recorded pretty early on in my home free journey but I had to upload it now because the one that I wanted to upload got blocked.( video was before I got seasoned with home free) thanks for watching !! Also don’t forget we go live at 9:30 pm EST on Tuesdays and Thursdays!!! ❤️
Home Free kept their fans sane during the lockdown by releasing songs every month or so. Just one of the many reasons us Home Fries love them❤ Chance is quite the singer/songwriter. You should check out some of his solo work, like "A Song For Home". And, he loves sea shanties. Check out "Sea Shanty Medley" that he put together for Home Free and "Skull and Bones" that he wrote for the Ubisoft game of the same name. Really enjoyed your reaction 😊
Home Free has done several collaborations with Peyer and Tim and Peter have an entire album. That was Adam Chance. He was an addition to the group when Chris Rupp, the founder of Home Free ( and Adam Rupp's ( the beatboxer) brother decided to go do his own thing. I'm sure you've seen him before but he'll stand out to you now that you noticed him. You might try their " One Man Band", " "Dive Bar Saints ", "Cover Me Up " or " Can't Outrun You" for more Chance. Thanks for the Home Free reactions
The cover of Amazing Grace is, well, amazing. Also check out the Misty Miuntains duet by Tim and Peter on Peter's Channel. They actually have an album of duets. Definitely worth a listen.
It’s so good and I believe it was Peter Hollens who edited it. He’s a master of layering and does such great work. He and Tim do a lot of collaborations and they have made an album. One of their most famous ones is Misty Mountains from the movie the Hobbit. The singer you didn’t know was Chance (backwards hat) who replaced Chris Rupp when he left the band in early 2016. Chris and Adam Rupp are brothers who started Home Free back in 2000. The boys have been together since 2013 until Chris left and Chance joined. Now Austin is leaving and will be replaced by Bastien (pronounced Bass-teen). Austin has been in the band since 2013. He was married recently and wants to stay home and start a family. Peter is also an a cappella singer and does solo work but collaborates with Tim a lot. Enjoy!!!
This is so very awesome! They kept us covered during Quarantine. They are so very awesome. You have to love them. Peter Hollins is so good. Love your reaction! ♥ #HOMEFREE
Loved your reaction to this great collab with #HomeFree and #PeterHollens - they've done a few things together including a Home Free version and a Peter Hollens version (featuring each other) of Dan & Shay's "19 You & Me" - both videos are good and the arrangements are somewhat different, but Home Free's video is an absolute must. Please keep the Home Free coming, as you are discovering, they never disappoint!
So glad you shouted out the mixing! Many people don't think about every person having different mics and different environments they recorded in. It had to be a monumental task! I am sur that each recording had to be a separate track for the initial mixing and each required special tweaks to clear up any possible background noises or audio issues. Then they were likely merged into one track to mix with the guys voices. I am not an audio person so am guessing as to the likely process. You can probably tell me if I am even close. I have however done enough video work to know that just the video work would have required plenty of coffee on my part. LOL Many people think it is easy to sync various videos but it can be time consuming. Worth it, but time consuming. The visual clean up because again different cameras and different lighting boggles the mind. So many variables to work on individually until each is the best it can be and then to add them in here and there in the video. Home Free's videos are usually simple in the fact it is just them standing or walking but when you think about it, the video editing is complex, getting just the right shots to emphasize the song.
@@lisaseverance6785 oh yeah the audio engineer was definitely working overtime for this one 😂 my guess is as good as yours when it comes to how they did it! I imagine people submitted their singing clips and some one went through and EQ’d the frequencies to help get rid of unwanted sounds and also to help brighten / darken the sound of each individual video. As well as if anyone need a bit of auto tuning and reverb or delay or anything like that. And to also have to go through and sync everyone’s video with the audio is a while other task in of itself !!! Hats off to the whole team for this one and thanks for watching the reaction! ❤️
The very beginning of this video was taken from the filming of a previous video (Amazing Grace), before COVID. The choir was members of Home Fries and the Hollens Fam from all over the world who answered their call to make videos to send in for this beautiful piece of musical art. The only background I recognize is Austin's home and his fishing pond. The guy with the Sabretooth looking facial hair is Adam Chance, aka Chance. He's been part of Home Free since May 2016, when Chris left to go solo and be part of 7th Ave with their sister Tristin, about 4.5 years before this video was made.
This is such a feel good song done by Peter, Home Free & the choir of Patreons. This was done during the pandemic. Fabulous editing! Love all the collaborations Peter has done with Home Free & Tim Foust.
I love the collaborations between Home Free & Peter Hollens (another one is "Amazing Grace").. Peter Hollens & Tim Foust have fantastic duets of "Green Sleeves" & "Bridge Over Troubled Water" among others. Tim & Austin Brown have a couple of collaborations with another acapella band "Straight No Chaser" (including "Rocky Top"). Dive on in - the water's great! BTW, Rob (beard & glasses) & Austin (long reddish hair) are both classically trained.
Peter was on season 2 of The Sing Off and has a lot of ties in music and acapella. I even think he helped staff Austin on something before he was with HomeFree. This video was a fun vibe. Thanks.
Trust me when I say you have to check out Two Country Singers Try Singing Opera ( Nessun Dorma ) it’s on Austin Brown’s TH-cam channel. The guys you were wondering about is Adam Chance aka Chance he is Home Feee’s Baritone/Bass
More Home Free!!! Love them. The one you did not recognize is Adam Chance, simply called Chance so as not to be confused with Adam Rupp, the beat boxer. He joined the group in 2016, replacing Chris Rupp; Adams brother. Will be with you all the way down this very, very deep rabbit hole.
The guy with the hat you didn't recognize is (Adam) Chance, he's their baritone and occasional bass since 2016. In this one Tim did the bass, though. If you don't see and/or him do anything else, it's usually Tim. The pictures from the beginning are from their previous collaboration of Amazing Grace. Peter Hollens is actually quite known in the a capella world. He creates his music using countless of layers, neither all by himself or with his numerous collaborators. He did quite a number of songs with Tim actually. A full album of it. They are all beautiful, but my favourites are the Sound Of Silence, You've Got A Friend, Greensleeves, Blackbird and Misty Mountains.
I love this song by U2 and I love it when Peter Hollins and Home Free sings this. Everyone is singing this song with there fans. The beatboxer is great and the video was great. 😊❤❤❤❤❤❤
So sorry I missed the premier Peter has several collabs with Home Free and some solo works with Tim ( Bridge Over Troubled Water, Sound of Silence and Fire and Rain) Just to name a few.
Amazing Grace is a good one, maybe do Misty Mountains with Peter and Tim, one of many they have done together. Have fun x Oh and how about Two Country Singers try singing Opera 😊 and Country Fried Pop x
A lot of a capella is about the vowels, whether as a part of a word or as the background oohs/aahhs. And HF is VERY good at it. Their lyrics are always clear and understandable, unlike many singers these days. And with no instrumentation to muddy the sound, even these old ears can hear clearly. Peter is a master at layering, but this must have taxed even his abilities, given the vast # of various voices. Others mentioned Peter's collabs with Tim, but he has one with Chance, too - Take Me Home Country Roads. Chris Rupp also collabs with Peter and Tim. AND in addition to Amazing Grace (truly amazing), Peter and HF did two different versions of 19 You & Me - one on each of their channels. The HF 'family' includes a number of excellent singers, songwriters, and producers. In addition to Peter, you might check out The Hound & The Fox. Their catalog is . . . varied, I guess is a good word. They do old standards, lullabies, folk sounding, sea-faring, and LOTS of spooky stuff. They just released a new collab with Chance - Into the West form Lord of the Rings.

Adam Chance has a amazing voice. He used to be a bass in his last band, now does baritone/bass for Home Free
I think you'd really enjoy Austin & Rob singing opera.... it's on Austin's channel. & perhaps the whole group singing with Don McClean "Vincent". ❤
Home Free kept their fans sane during the lockdown by releasing songs every month or so. Just one of the many reasons us Home Fries love them❤

You saw Chance in Man of Constant Sorrow - he did the jaw harp sound. He just wasn't featured in the singing as much.
I'm excited to watch you do Love Train. The video of this one is better well..m.more fun than the live.

Yes, please do Amazing Grace 😊
To see Chance's baptism by fire, I recommend "Between Two Tims".
It helps to just at least aware of the awkward humor of Zack Galifianakis' Between Two Ferns. 😂

Another fab reaction! Thx. You are correct that this was a good vibe. I will continue to enjoy your efforts. HF is just amazing
They are amazing !!! Thank you so much for watching !
That was Adam Chance that you asked who it was.
One of my favorites 😍

Yes, They are their Home Fry Patreons. They all sing great.

@@roniboyd613 they really are.
Great reaction! I'm really enjoying your exploration of Home Free.
Dude when watching a video you might think about watching it!!!! You didn't notice the Patreons until the second time they came on
Oh no !
Could not hear this too much!
Was the volume low ?
