The dancing, bouncing, and, bopping. The priceless expressions. No matter how much I already like a song I always find myself enjoying it even more when you're there grooving to it.
U2 is an Irish band, the guys came through again with this cover. To do this without being with each other is amazing. Did you notice when they were still and Peter started moving that the outfits the guys had on were in their next shot. Awesome.
Wasn't this a great video !!! A large shout out to Jimmy, Home Frees video editor, and Darren their sound editor for their Amazing work. Home Free had patrons contribute also, everyone did such a fabulous job. I loved the cameo by Dawg, Austins cat !!!
U2 had some really great hits back in the day. Love this cover collab! Peter Hollens did a fantastic job putting all the pieces together. Loved the high notes by Peter and Austin. The whole thing is a joy to watch.
I could tell you enjoyed this video...you were really jammin’. Love this collaboration with Peter and Home Free and aver 300 of their Patrons. And I loved your reaction.
Fantastic cover of U2's absolute al time best song. And I love your face, when the patreons started to sing. And big shoutout to both Jimmy, video editor, and also to the sound editor (Darren?).
Loved your reaction!! I am a huge Home Free fan (been to 4 concerts) and everything they are involved with is amazing. Just getting familiar with Peter Hollens the last several months. I like that so many of these singers are friends and work together on projects. It’s awesome!!!
Dave, I have watched this dozens of times and it is so awesome, but I think your reaction took it to another level. You are so special with all your excitement and enthusiasm. Thanks so much! We'll be watching. Take care.
You are right! They keep going above and beyond don’t they? Stunning piece and Peter’s voice...it’s tremendous. Also I don’t know who was doing those deep noises...was it Adam or Tim? Not sure. Love your reaction. Try Home Free live with Alabama. And a new song from their new album but no video is Winter Song. It’s beautiful. Keep reacting!
That big bass drum...that's the incomparable Adam Rupp :) And U2? Oh man, you don't know what you're missing! Pride, With or Without You, Both off this same album: Joshua Tree.
Hi michelle, I was just about to mention that. I don't know how many reactors I've seen react to this and credit Tim with that marvelous acoustic - not that Tim doesn't deserve credit for his amazing bass line, but it seems like Adam doesn't get the appreciation he deserves. Truly the best beat-boxer on the planet, imho.
@@davidhoag4697 In a lot of videos it's hard to tell who's doing what, like in Ring of Fire...I love, love, love Avi, but the way it's shot it almost looks like it's him dropping that last bass note. I wish they'd zoomed a bit closer/clearer on Tim. In this one, if they'd even put Adam in the middle instead of shuffled way off to the side, it would have made it much more obvious.
@@michelle32855 You're right, of course, and I kinda wish they had. But if I understand correctly, Adam doesn't like the spotlight. It may have been his decision (at least in part), to be "shuffled way off to the side" as you so aptly put it. Whatever the case may be, I would really like to see him get the credit he so richly deserves. He's amazing.
Dave, I LOVE THIS ONE ! I listen to it just about everyday ! I was supposed to be in this but I got covid really bad and was too sick to record and make the deadline for entries ! You're behind on Home Free dude :) They have two Christmas themed songs - Cold Hard Cash (for Christmas) (maybe you did this one I can't remember), but they dropped a VERY SPECIAL one on Friday that is written by Austin, and STRAIGHT FROM HIS HEART. Please give it a listen...Warmest Winter....you'll love it and the guys were together filming their Holiday Special and also filmed some videos together - they also released their edit from the special featuring Alabama and singing one of Alabama's great 80's hits Christmas in Dixie.
I'm glad you liked this one so much! I can't even imagine the amount of production work that went into layering that many voices but dang it came out great.
I loved your reaction and I just love this song! Such a happy toe tapping song! Truly a feel good, bring us together (even in these crazy times) video. Loved your face when the chorus of Patrons came in... perfect! such delight! Thanks so much! Be safe and have a Healthy Happy Holiday and New Year!
The look on your face when that "choir" came in, was priceless. I read on another channel that Peter had the patreons on video, coaching. He would clap and then they would do their part. The editor was then able to put it together and make the timing perfect.
Peter did do the coaching for the soprano choir parts, although we watched a video of Peter for visual cues (no clapping) while recording ourselves. Austin & Tim did the coaching for the alto and tenor parts. Peter's team then did the editing of individual videos to meld them all into the final product. 🙂
I enjoy watching your reaction almost as much as the videos. I am 53 years old and remember when this song came out, I am not a fan of U2 but this is a great cover of one of the most popular songs that they made. Keep the great reviews coming.
Yes! So happy you reacted to this one!! It is absolutely phenomenal! The beginning shot with Peter and Home Free with the head shot switches was from their collaboration of the outside portion from Amazing Grace several years ago! That was, indeed, a very clever edit!! Also, Peter has done these choral types is videos with his Patrons a few times. I really enjoyed seeing how you really we’re getting into the song and all of the prolific parts!! You had so many surprised looks throughout, and it made me smile! Heck! The video still makes me smile! I was going to submit a video, but I chickened out. Maybe next time. ☺️ I think you should check out U2. They have a distinct sound and style and have had a successful run of hits and tours. They are in the Rock genre. This is an early hit, and if my memory serves correct, I think it may be their 1st, or 2nd hit.
Great to see you reacting to this, it's such an epic collaboration for an epic song. We knew it was coming, because they announced it to patrons a few months before it came out, and it didn't disappoint. It's always a bit odd when you have a solo singer featuring a group, rather than the other way around - a lot of people think of the Amazing Grace that the images of the guys together came from as being by Home Free, when technically it's on Peter's channel, but whoever has their name first, it sounds great either way.
U2 was HUGE back in the day. they were EVERYWHERE because of their music. they even caused a MAJOR stir in L.A. when they tried pulling off a roof top concert for free!
Great reaction! I did t think I could smile any bigger when listening to this video (after seeing it many times) but I was pleasantly wrong. Your reaction made me smile almost right off my face!
Don't know if you recognized it or not, but the still picture at the beginning is from another collaboration video of Peter & HF - "Amazing Grace", that they did a few years ago. "Still Haven't Found" is in the quarantine style so using the older stills allowed them to have an "all together" picture. If you haven't already reacted to "Amazing Grace", you should check it out.
This is a Peter Hollens Production the choir is Peter’s Patreon followers who he turned into a choir for these videos, there are 350 people in this choir, he’s actually done more voices in other videos, check them out on his channel.
this is actually a somewhat common perk for peter's patrons. you should check out his cover of the greatest show from the greatest showman, it features a patron choir of 300+ people!
I love this better than U2. I grew up singing in choirs, so I love good strong harmonies. They're killing it! Home Free and Peter make an awesome team!
So. Competition choir. Our small one. On a bus to a competition. The Rose. 20 part harmony. Unfortunately this was 1997 so no camera phones, youtube, ect.
350 patreons of both Home Free and Peter. Awesome editing and mixing. HF uses their patreons, family and friends in their videos. Makes it more relatable than using professionals.
Yo i don't know i you read this. I would recommend you to watch the vocal range video of tuukka haapaniemi. He is a amazing bass and is on the same level as tim and geoff.
Peter Hollens is a great singer (obviously), but he sounds so generic to me. He sounds like any other good Stage Musical male vocalist I’ve heard. Just doesn’t do it for me. Robb’s voice can be a little nasally and annoying at times (Rascall Flatts). Auston is the only tenor in the group that really stands out to my ear. His voice is special. It’s so incredibly dynamic. He can hit every note. And it sounds UNIQUE!
The dancing, bouncing, and, bopping. The priceless expressions. No matter how much I already like a song I always find myself enjoying it even more when you're there grooving to it.

It was great being in the video!!! I loved singing in the choir!
Same!! I loved singing in the choir & appearing in the video too!
Pure joy in them, in you. Blessings from above!
Wasn't this a great video !!! A large shout out to Jimmy, Home Frees video editor, and Darren their sound editor for their Amazing work. Home Free had patrons contribute also, everyone did such a fabulous job. I loved the cameo by Dawg, Austins cat !!!

You looked as happy as a kid in a candy store! And you had the chair boogies goin on! I'm right with ya! What a great production! ❤
The editor is brilliant!!! Award deserving!! This is a stunning performance of this song.

These guys (Peter and HF) just work SO well together! 💕
Best. Reaction. Ever! You had me smiling and dancing right along with you! Loved this so much!
This is a great video. Love when Peter and Home Free join together.❤️❤️❤️
Loved your reaction to this. Of course it's Peter and Home Free it's going to be GREAT. Thank you

Those Patreons can sing! Adam Chance got up there on this tune, love his voice. Loved it!!
love this one. so much real from the heart music...
Beautiful. Love your reactions

They did an awesome job with this one and it's another quarantine video! Love it! Thanks ^_^
That really really low boom was actually Adam the beat boxer
Great reaction! I did t think I could smile any bigger when listening to this video (after seeing it many times) but I was pleasantly wrong. Your reaction made me smile almost right off my face!
That was beyond awesome 👌
That was the best reaction. Made me laugh.
Your reaction to this awesome song is crazy good! Adam carried the beat for everyone!
Thanks Dave, great reaction 👍👍 I loved the change up and blend too. Be safe, stay strong, and keep smiling 👍💞👍
Your face when the choir came in was priceless 😂
Innovative way to keep fans engaged during lockdown. LOVE ❤️ THIS
My cheeks are sore from smiling and you added to that. Great video and reaction.
U2 has done this with a choir themselves. They're excellent, and Home Free and Peter did this song proud.
The "cinematic drop" was Adam the beatboxer. You can see him do the first one at the beginning of the video.
Yes a lot of people think it's Tim, just because Bass. But Adam can do those throat notes, he is some kind of Alien I think
ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT

For a little side info, rewatch and see how many people had their pets on camera. Austin’s cat is following him down the road.
The cat is Austin's and his name is Dawg!
Awesome men
U2 is from Ireland not Scranton. But as a U2 fan, I enjoy this version better.
❤
from what i gather the choir was all patrons of home free and peter
I swear for GOD they could sing ABC and it would be Bonafide
I have to admit, when U2 released this song, I hated it. But, the way these guys did it, I LOVE it! Tim dropping the bass..just amazing.
Adam is dropping the subsonic 'booms', not Tim!
They had 300 of their patreon followers in this video
I think they were all family members who did the backing
