Hey ya! Tha is for watching and hope it's inspired or given you an idea to make something similar to aid with your building tasks. I have a handful of tools I make for my tool box. Will share soon if of interest. All the best!
Thanks for the kind words. I've been making and using these since 2004. I'm sure there are other solutions and custom tools to improve work flow. Happy to show more if interested.
@mguerramd that's a good one, I've tried that one before but I was clumsy on moving thin CA around a nearly finished model. I found using a scalpel blade held horizontally is good for those final touches of glueing paving and thin materials easier to handle. There are many ways, guess it's down to the job at hand and what we have at reach :)
Thank you for watching, I am looking to cover a topic on glue. I'll consider thoughts and ideas on the applicator and uses with other glues. Thanks again.
Yeah, I'm tabling up possible topics for next episodes. The laser cutting will be in there. Any particular area of the laser you'd like to see more about? Thanks again for watching and commenting
@@reddevilian Hey, I'll keep it in mind and prepare a process video soon for covering laser cutting and engraving. I'll share some tips and trick too, which usually save me a bit of time during cutting jobs.
Hey ya! I do have some prepared in my workshop and do have different sized loops for smaller applications. Where are you based, I can send a small one and a large one if needed.
Hey! The Proxxon is actually a really good bit of kit compared to other disc sanders on the market. Firstly, most of the disc sanding I do is at a smaller scale, so it fits the purpose. The balanced motor means there is next to zero vibrations when in operation allowing for accurate movements. On top of that, the plus side is that it's super quiet too. I have other disc sanders but I use this one the most. Check it out it's a good addition if you're sanding small parts.
Interesting. I was looking at the rather expensive DSPIAE super glue applicator tool & wondering how it's supposed to be used. Seems rather pointless after seeing how simply you created your own just as effective tool.
Glad it was helpful! There is always more than one way to solve a problem, well that's how I like to see it. In case you didn't make the applicator, you can always find them available on my Etsy shop. www.etsy.com/uk/listing/830191908/superglue-applicator-useful-tool?ref=shop_home_active_2&frs=1 Anyways, thanks for the comment and support. Am here to push and find ways to make things easier to carry out our projects.
Hey ya! Apologies if it felt that you can make everything with pricy tools. I only make these as I have invested in tools to deal with all jobs and on the side can make the things I need to help my process run smoothly. I'll try to think of a way to make the same tool in a more economical way using basic tools. As a last resort, you can always buy a glue applicator off my etsy page and support me for the price of a coffee ;) www.etsy.com/uk/listing/830191908/superglue-applicator-useful-tool?ref=shop_home_active_1&frs=1 With Brexit and all the uncertain issues, I will try and see if I can send you one. Here to make it easier for all to carry out tasks and make it easier to finally complete. Best wishes...
Yes a sewing needle can also be used for the same purpose, but depending on your application this tool can be made for your specific needs. For example, the spring steel wire used measures 0.3mm in diameter and the size of the loop can be made for the amount of glue to be applied. With the option to shape the loop, say with a circle loop the glue can be applied not just at the tip but at many angles. With the sewing needle the thinner the metal around the eye the smaller the needle eye, plus the thickness of metal at the top of the eye is usually thicker than the sides creating a greater distance away from the material to be glued. This can cause marks and signs of points of application. The second point I find useful is that you can bend the wire between the loop and the handle in order to get into tight spaces, this is great for dealing with complex pieces or applying glue around a corner. So for a few minutes of making this tool, for me at least as a model maker it's worth the hassle ;)
Hey ya! The loop is for thin super glue only. Make a little well from masking tape to reapply when needed. Once the glue dries on the applicator, burn it off using a lighter. Easy 😉
Very cool. Thanks for the video.

@carr869 thanks for watching , it's still one of my best ways to apply thin super glue after so many years!
Very useful video and an effective tool, thanks for sharing.

I love it!!! Super interesting tool!
Thank you, I hope the tool helps you with your upcoming challenges.
This is a really well done video and a great idea, if it's yours ;) thanks!

Fantastic.
Thanks! This applicator is used regularly for my model buiilds. Something that makes my builds clean. Cheers for watching!
You can use a fly tyers bodkin already made for 2 to 3 dollars. It’s a brass handle with a stainless tapered tip.

Very nice video. Looking forward to see more ❤️
Thank you, I aim to continue with weekly content. Stay tuned!
Very nice video! Can you use this applicator also with other types of glue?

Awesome. Any chance of a video on laser cutting.

I have limited knowledge of the laser cutting process; I want to know about the over all process from preparing drawings to the actual cuts.

A Hund drill chuck shoud work, or a mechanical pencils 😁🤔
Possibly, use what you've got and you'll be surprised what you can make from it all
Are making these for purchase, if so I'd like to purchase a couple of them

Obviously a Proxxon fan, lol. 😛

@@Iamjustamodelmaker I'm still new to the world of modelling, so it's good to find little nuggets of information wherever possible. 😋
Yeah, cause we all have all those power tools. Perhaps someone has an idea that won’t cost me $100 in equipment to make a $5 tool.

So much waste! The glue won't wait for you to make a lot of passes with this thread! It will dry!
