    Great hack! I have some syringes I want to try for CA glue too. Also see if it stores in them ok as well.
    For those that can't get plastic "Q-Tips" (they are available in some cheap off-brand ones). Perhaps try the ink tube out of ball-point pens or the feed tube from a spray bottle. Or the tiny straws that come with juice box type drinks. If you're really desperate, I'd be small heat shrink would work. Get the smallest you can. Wax a thin piece of wire and put it inside the heat shrink. Stick something like a wood dowel, also waxed, the size of your bottle tip, in one end to keep it sized to fit the bottle. Shrink the tube and pull out the wire and dowel (this is what the wax is for). You may even be able to do CTG's technique of stretching the heat shrink tube while keeping each end open with said wood dowel, metal tube/solid, or plastic tube.
    .....Or if you can, buy them by the 10 to 100pc pack online. :)

    Analyzing the situation. The air that will always enter the tube when you use the glue and what causes that annoying clogging and increase in the glue's viscosity is now trapped in parts inside the tubes, just cut the 'clogged' part or put new tubes in!

    Hey, how are you doing?! I hope you’re staying safe, what with this coronavirus thing going around. Unfortunately I had to stop my projects because of this epidemic, as a matter of fact, I’m not even at home, where my machine shop is. I’m in Rhode Island, my wife and I had to stay with my uncle, who’s in a wheel chair, his nurses aid quit because she didn’t get time off for quarantine.
    Wow, this is exactly how we made glass pipettes for chemistry, specially out in the field. When we didn’t have access to electricity for our powered pipettes We’d take half inch glass tubes, heat it (the same way) over the Bunsen burners, and stretch until we got pipettes size we needed. Though the experience was horrible because sometimes we’d accidentally suck in our samples, though they were never dangerous, it was unsanitary. Now, I use those very same Q-tips to etch my name in metal.
    This is an awesome idea for precision flow of glue. Very nice.

    • @CutTransformGlue
      @CutTransformGlue  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey Eddie!! I'm fine, how about you? Hope everything is okay with you and your family! The quarantine threw me off rails as well.. I've been locked out of my shop, so I'm only working on smaller projects.. That's cool, but glass working must be waaay harder to get right, isn't it? Well I hope you stay safe and we get well through all this pandemy, best wishes for you and your family!

    Friend, I did it here with my 20 gram jar (which always caused me a hassle when it was clogged). But using a lighter the result was better, with candles I lost several cotton swabs! My concern is that this tape on the pot's fitting will prevent air from entering and causing it to harden! I've seen videos of people in carpentry who use this glue inside enamel bottles, using the lid with the brush, will it last without hardening?
