Just a tip on your powdercoating: looks great but if you shoot powder on it when the part is that hot it will build up in uneven layers and not bake evenly. You can tell from the semi ripple effect your getting. As long as you have a good ground to your part, that gun should be able to make the powder stick without you needing to have the part so hot. Your powder will lay down way flatter. Love your content Bro!
Hey any chance you could show us how you install those rivet nuts, I keep seeing you install them in the holes you drill and can't really tell the setup you have. If you can that would be awesome if not maybe I can find someone to help me figure it out. Thanks for your videos!
Really enjoy watching your build. It's really coming along nicely. Separate question... have you done any hydro dipping ? You should look into it and add it to your abilities in the shop. Really easy and affordable, plus just adds additional finishes you can use.
I understand your option for the TDI, not a lot of small Diesels laying around. But in Europe, I would go with the 3.0 D4-D. Plenty of power and torque.
Wanting to do this swap on my auto 4runner do you or anyone know if 2nd gen 4runner r150f and transfer case could be used in my 3rd gen 4runner for the swap, my buddy has one he said I could have.
Just FYI... likely didn't increase it much, but when you used the crows foot you actually moved the center of the measure for the torque. You pushed it forward and effectively made the handle longer. Likely applied a little more torque than you intended. Again the movement was not far off. If you would have oriented the foot side ways 90 degrees to the left or right of center. you just move it left or right and the length of the lever stays the same. There is a whole page dedicated to that if you google it. If you extend the bolt out front of the wrench there is a formula to use.
what degreaser do you use to clean the engine bay. i know your diff was really dirty when you first got this truck. I just had my engine blow in my 06 Tacoma and while the engine is out I want to clean everything but not sure what degreaser works best. also do you just scrub everything or just degrease then pressure wash? if scrub what kind of brush you use?
Dude! Y'all need to build a rack stand for the oven racks that is at or just under chest hight so you ain't standing on your head to do powder coating:)
Just thought I'd let you know proper torquing with a crows foot is a 45° angle not straight on. You probably over torque some, I guess a little more is better than not enough. 😉 You are doing an awesome job though, really like watching your videos!
Huh I did not know that! I have never had to torque with a crows foot before, I thought straight made the most sense! That high grade nut can take more than 40ft lb anyway, should be fine!

Been watching all of your build vids on the engine swap. You do great work, and have plenty of patients!
Looks great man... keep up the nice work !!!
Looking good, and so does the truck 😉

Love the mod on your sandblaster I will follow suit and do the same with mine can't believe how much it kicks butt!
Aren't you glad you can do all these things and have the space to do. God Bless
hello from France Austin, really you are a great one, you work better than a professional. All the best

What starter do you use. I’m doing a conversion and the typical starter interferes with the turbo

I think most people in the US would kill for even 10 of the 100s of options Europe has for diesel engines
@@TDISwaps Europe hold my beer !!Toyota diesels in Australia!!
@@MussaKZN ya pretty much everywhere but the US gets all the diesels they want
Nice job as always, what are the rivet nuts you are using?
Are you using HF drill bits? If so, are they any good?
Another awesome video 👀👍🏻🤠😁

Nice work. What size compressor do you run on the sand blaster??
It’s a 60 gallon
Wow, great job!
