oh man i had to like this - then i realised that my like accounted for the 70th like - meaning i broke the 69 likes score - fuuuck im so sorry about that
Yea, the reason i was taking a guess at it being the GX-1 is because of the ridiculous quirky sounds it can make which are incredible, Richard can screw around with it like no other person. Now that i go back i can see what you mean with it being a Roland System 100, at 1:28 during the 1 minute parts it definitely is. I wouldn't doubt Squarepusher is in on this, i know Vibert did the crazy vocal parts same with Richard.
this has to be a collab betwixt Vibert whose contribution is present at the start, the drum and synth program sound very much like some of the songs off sorry I made you lush. Squarepusher's bass raw bass sound and amen chaos is definitely present at 0:51 onwards. 1:44 marks the other section of the song, which I reckon was probably Richards bit, mostly due to the snare rushes, which sound really simillar to his drukqs era stuff. Great tune.
idm, max/msp and supercollider! so why do they mention that? I wasn't even going to bring that up but it said it while I was typing. Anyways, how do you know all of these bits you've cited?
To add onto what you guys are saying, im pretty sure thats Richard's GX1 @ 0:49 all the way up to 1:44 in between those areas. Then it just combines some of Vibert's and Richard's stuff and the Vocals.
Sounds like old Squarepusher
It's actually just Impakt drunk with one of his friends, but it's funnier to think it's a bunch of other people I guess.
