    I'm going to tell you this is the best and most productive shoe video I've seen in years. You don't get into all these crazy personal experiences and going to weird tangents. You talk about the shoe you tell the pros and cons you show the squishiness and you move on to the next shoe. Your taste and style is extremely similar to mine. I work in the furniture business and I'm always on my feet walking around and standing up. This was the most informative and yet stylish video and I will certainly take in consideration your recommendations. I have the socrony endorphin and I love it. I also have a new balance Hyperion and I love that as well. I also got the Skechers razor 3 racer and I love that. I now am wearing Skechers hyper burst and they're pretty good too. My mistake was buying the vapor fly next percent that the professional marathon runners wear it has a carbon fiber plate in it, and spent I $350. My ankle feels like they're going to roll and just break at any movement and I hate the carbon plate.
    However the carbon plate definitely helps me when I walk fast at night it's always pushing my leg forward there's no doubt about it all these world records and distance running and track and field are being broken because these shoes absolutely make a difference with carbon plate. They accelerate your foot unnaturally and move your ankle and knee forward reducing many times by 4% in distance running. However not good for standing and walking short distances for long periods of time.

    I'm surprised that nobody is mentioning Asics' Gel series. Ultraboosts have been the most comfortable for me for years, but I got a pair of Gel-Lyte Vs recently and they are hands-downs the most comfortable shoes that I have. Standing or walking in those for long periods of time is super comfortable.

      I've been in a quest for the most comfiest shoe for the longest and most recently, ventured into the ZX 2K & Ultraboost 20 thanks to this channel. Although the ZK 2K is the squishiest, I feel like my tiny stabilizing muscles in my legs are working harder to keep my balance and I end up having sore calves at the end of the day. The Ultraboost 20 is hitting the sweet spot for me when it comes to not just comfort but style as well. I'm finally retiring my RealFlexes but still keeping my Cole Haans.

    Spot on with the health care field! Literally wear Ultraboosts for work (when appropriate) and it has saved my back, knees, and feet. It's completely different from being able to move freely or run. If you stand 8-10hrs a day for lab work, it can take such an extreme toll especially since I do enjoy my sports and feel fatigued far sooner than in the past when I wasn't wearing something that was comfortable. If only the Nike's came in all black! Really want to try those as my daily driver shoe and have the Ultraboosts for work since I tend to daily my work shoe and that just wears them out faster lol

    @elonmush4793 2 ปีที่แล้ว +13

    I am convinced that running shoes were designed for running with the aim of propelling your body forwards using the bounce when you're landing on one foot. That's not necessarily the tech that would make a good standing shoe. Cushiony may feel comfortable but you'll always have a cushion between you and the ground, which could weaken the muscles in your feet and legs. So it's probably a good idea to find a compromise between cushioning and support and avoid the extremely squishy ones unless you're on the heavier side.

    I work as a receipt checker/entrance doorman at costco so im standing completely still a good 2-3 hours in between breaks and for my feet as a wide footer, ive found the flatter the sole the better. But with a cushion insert of some sort. like boots or high top sneakers with a Dr scholls insert. But for something more stylish but I'm still standing for long hours, the Nike Air Max 90's,Jordan 1's,Reebok Classics,and Reebok Aztrek 96 are in my rotation . I've tried ultra boost and Nike zoom flys but the squishy foam of these lightweight running shoes had me constantly rebalancing myself.

    My two favorite squoshy sneakers are a pair of Nike 360's with blown pods and a pair of Mike Vapor Max with blown back pods. (the front pods are still good so I don't know how they would feel with the front pods blown.
    Both of them feel a bit "strange" for the first five minutes or so of wearing them, but then feel perfectly OK and very comfy.
    I'm serious about this, they really are comfortable. I don't have any of the ones you mention except a well worn pair of Adidas Boosts, which I agree are quite comfortable.
    I buy almost all my sneakers well used and cheap, that I can afford. so that influences my choice.

    You missed some brands that are known for making super comfortable editions. Hoka One One the Bondis are used by Ultramarathon atheletes because of the extra cushioning and performance they provide, Asics Gel Nimbus is a really comfortable shoe maybe not as squishy but the gels provide excellent support and where are the Cloud ON and Brooks shoes? I personally haven't tried the Nike Invincible X but I have ordered a pair and will finally get to try them next week. I use my sneakers predominantly for running but I also play basketball so I pretty much need everything from what I've heard the New Balance 1080v2s and Nike Invincible Zoom X have been rated for recovery easy pace running shoes so you looks like your feeling was right.

    On a different note: We all need to wear shoes other than sneakers some times...for business or whatever. For those who need loafers, oxfords, business shoes, but want the same experience as with sneakers, the brand called Mephisto make non-sneaker shoes with their own cushioning system. Derby's, Loafers, even mokassins have the 'soft-air' shock absorber in the heel and what they call 'air-flex' or 'air-relax' in the mid sole. Mephisto are all hand-made in France with super high quality leathers and all natural materials. The cushioning system is latex based as far as i know. For nurses, they have the classic from the 80's the 'Match' which they made in white. It was always a nursing classic. Its known as the 'Rolls-Royce of walking shoes'. Its great for medical pros because its soft but not too soft. @1:53
