Great tutorial! How is the faux leather if you wash it? I’m thinking of making this tag to my sewn projects and may get washed so will the faux leather with HTV still look ok after many washing? Thank you
How do you get the text words to be cut out in one strip? I have tried this over and over and it keeps cutting the individual letters. I have tried it with a capital K on each end. I selected both Ks and welded them but it cuts out the individual letters.
Would love to use this idea on product labels, I'm just wondering is it washable? I was also considering using foil on leatherette, and wondering which one will hold up better after washing. Thanks for sharing.
The foil probably would wash off to be honest. I did test a hand wash of the label and it held up fine but I’m not sure that machine washing would be good for it
Love the idea! I plan on using this for tags on my crochet products, i have a couple questions tho! Could u use foil instead of vinyl on the faux leather? Would it be a similar process? How well does it handle long term with washing?
Foil could be used but you need to be sure it’s made for fabrics and don’t use the cricut stuff it’s not good quality. And so far they hold up fine to washing
So- if you use faux leather that's 100% polyester then you could sublimate the text on. Right? My wheels have been turning for days on how to put tags on my boys cheap knitted gloves so they don't get lost at school.

Foil won’t make it but the foil-like/ high sheen HTV does fine. Many of us sewists use leatherette and vinyl labels on clothes.

Does that machine cut cork fabric? The cork fabric looks and feels like leather.
