Some clan heavies do carry extreme amount of firepower. They have to pay for this dearly though. Ebon Jaguar has very bad arm weapon convergence (putting ballistics in both arms and trying to hit stuff is a nightmarish if not nightstarish experience), relatively poor acceleration/deceleration/turn speed and bad hitboxes. Ballistic bunny ears of EBJs are ok IMO(these do distract people from focusing the nose, which is actually a right thing to aim for), ballistic asp's ears or missile timber ones have it substantially worse. Asps are at least able to hide their damaged components behind ECM shroud (if you are using proper CTs).
As you are investing a lot in the mech optics.... classic tabletop style.... You should showcase your favourite mech paintjobs own and icons on different chassis. Worth a longer vid 😏
Don't listen to people who will pick on you for having an opinion. I watch your videos to hear those too, because you have a LOT more experience than me. I even try not to rage and say something like "that was unfortunate" when I get rolled xD
So I just started playing about a month ago. And I got the EBJC. Which I love. I changed the ac2 for lbx2 and dropped the srm6 to an SRM4. I've had a lot of fun with it and was pretty happy that I was averaging 250 to 350 dmg. I've even broken my own personal damage output twice 651 and 702. But during a fp match I was ripped really brutally to the point I just shut my computer off about how awful my build was. But no one explained why. I was hoping I could get some clarification.
small guns (ballistic) require a lot of "face" time to be effective ….and are rather heavy for their damage compared to others. so you have to use many of them and be large enough to withstand the return fire. "meta" is using the best weapons for the mech...like it was made for them. being a jack of all trades is NOT the best way to go, you make a spoon for liquids, a fork for solids. sporks are fugly keep up the practice, observe what others are doing, glean what you think is good, erase or ignore what seems irrelevant. small fast mechs with nothing but small missile loads hit and run tactics. assault mechs with 4+ AC. etc etc good luck and have fun GLHF
Your issue might be the LBX2s. I would try just mounting one LBX10 or 20 as they are more efficient, and boat SRM4s or 6s on the rest. Don't give up on your build, LBX with SRM is a great mix as both are short range spread weapons. SRMs for armor and LBX for structure, all while avoiding "ghost heat" as they are separate weapon types.
I personally don't like the ebon jaguar because the inner sphere designation, cauldron-born, literally meant zombie... and it isn't implemented as a zombie mech, no quirk love for survivability :(
The NASCAR is definitely worse than usual lately. I tend to prefer more ponderous assault mechs like the Dire Wolf and Fafnir, and I've been left to die more times than I care to count. As you say, very frustrating.
I have found my niche in the Nascar meta. I have a 2x AMS 5x MPL crab27. I have enough speed and armor to babysit Atlas and Fafnir that get left behind. I have enough rate of fire to scare off pirahnas and enough point damage to amplify component destruction. By the time we wade in we have a fresh assault and medium working together to make a mini frontline.
I blame it on the endless stream of events - "XXX Damage in a ______ Mech." That's what's behind the out of control Nascar. Everyone is out for themselves, other players aren't teammates, they're competition.
It's a bit better in faction play now. The attack/defend mechanic helps with encouraging firing lines, pushes and flanking instead of the constant rotation of T1/T2 quick play
@@Musabre I like that point but I'm not sure the damage numbers in this video reflect that. This doesn't mean you're wrong, it may just mean that Baradul has a tough time staying in mid-lines. He is clearly a "Git 'er Done" kind of mech warrior.
@@rogeraldrich2533 From what i've seen, i definitely agree haha. He has an agressive streak even in long range builds. But hey, results speak for themselves i guess.
The NASCAR in this game has got to stop. I almost never play my assault mechs anymore because its always the same result. Team runs a NASCAR, I get left behind, and swarmed by 4 or 5 mediums & lights. Makes the game suck.
nascar is not the problem ... the problem is the damn mechs are too fast ... back in the day 60km/h was considured fast but now the average mech ingame can go atleast 90km/h and thats why people tend to run around the map like headless chickens ... if PGI slowed down the gameplay or put assaults and heavys in their own games without mediums and lights we migh kill the nascar(keep inmind that lights and mediums wuld still run around like idiots in their games) but hey the game is dying so that wont happen
10:52 when most players lose all weapons, or even half they give up. you managed to stop that mech by blocking the exit.
In this video Baradul aggressively goes after a Mech's butt.
This mech has the same firepower (-1 laser) as a similarly armed Blood Asp. That's pretty impressive for its size!

That warhammer iic was bad ass in the first video, snatched three kills before he died

Niiice build. Good high hardpoint for the big ballistic, nice leftside/rightside weapon groups. UAC20 and MPL's sync pretty nice on range. Works!
The dreaded " Butt-sniffing " attack !
Ramming speed! Lol!

Baradul, make a video exclusively of you opening 100 supply caches and post results. I'd watch it.
try Jaguar 8 med pulses. that's when the enemy runs away from you

Did something similar bug with a fuck ton of small pulse lasers.

Im glad you liked my build Baradul :D

I'm glad you're being a team player during the current feeding frenzy meta. I will keep an eye out for a friendly Crab 27

That seemed like a very squishy mech, I can't remember the last time Baradul was dismembered like that in both games.
It's definitely upgunned at the expense of survivability. Keep in the mid-lines with it though and it's devastating.

I muted the video during gameplay and played "God of War" by Battle Beast. Excellent choice. Not that I don't like hearing Bara, but it was awesome.
A build ?? What to say about this crazy camo?
İts a very creative video name
