I can’t believe the new generation is calling this a “hack”. Lol. Okay so we used to do this years back but we didn’t put a paper towel in the bag. Next we actually warmed up the acetone itself with only a tad bit of water. Back in the day, yes your nails would melt off, but in today’s time they’re applying nails with different types of materials that weren’t being used back in the day. Today you have nails that can only be removed by filing down. When we were doing this method we were doing this on reg smegular acrylic
Stamp of Beauty righ you see my dilemma I really wanted this hack to work so bad 😭 I’m going right back to my old methods. Thanks for ur support love be blessed all my love 😘
Omg poor thing yea I have to give you your proprs girl...lol...because I would have gave up and filed it off...lol...great video though at least you gave it a good shot...tysmfs💖💖💖 and yes that drop a link Wednesday is a great idea cant way for that...love ya chica💖💖💖
MVP Nail designs omg I was done but I already committed to doing the video so I just stick with it but I really don’t wish this for anyone I might just change my thumbnail to Don’t Do It! Lol 😂
If you add the paper towel make sure there's enough acetone and scruch your fingers. This will allow the product to scrape off onto the paper towel. Not sure it'll come off in 3 minutes but it does help cut time down.
Soaking mine off right now using this method. Thanks for sharing and I really like the drop a link Wednesday idea. I hope it's still up and running BTW
Helen Evans thank you love I’ll be posting one really soon I’m so glad u watch the whole video drop a link Wednesday are hopefully going to be good for sharing content between each other and I really hope we can all support each other even if your not a TH-cam you can find some amazing channels you haven’t see before 🥰 thank you for your support stay blessed 😘
Girl that seriously took forever, that would have made me grumpy lol.. try etching your gel top coat off first before soaking next time, it does help to let the acetone penetrate a little better.
Lindsay Chavez right I was over it after the first 30 min😰 I usually just use my efile get the majority of the product off and then soak them for about 15 minutes but never any longer than that this was way too much but I was trying to stay dedicated to this hack because it was supposed to be three minutes and I didn’t want to use anything extra but obviously it didn’t work😡 but it was a good learning experience I Will definitely be testing out some more hack videos. Thank you so much for watching and be blessed 😘
@@DiamondsonmyNails that's usually how I take mine off too, unfortunately my puppy ate my efile though so now I gotta get a new one, I was actually hoping this hack worked because I don't have an efile right now but after watching you test it I was like, nah I'm good lol... thanks for testing these hacks to let us know what truly works and what doesn't😌🖤. BTW you do amazing nails. They look great💖💎🤩😍
Rachelle’s Nail Glam true I was so annoyed but mainly because I really wanted it to work but I should’ve known because nail techs have been doing nails and removing nails it for decades and if they’re not doing it or haven’t done it then I should’ve known better lol 😂 thank you for you love and support I appreciate you so much stay blessed 😘
The problem with this is the way that you held your nails. You can expect acetone to penetrate the back of your nails when your hand is curved. Get rid of the paper towel and try again.
Yeah and this didn’t work for me at all md these are my real nails with acrylic but since my nail tech was out of town I went to someone else and they been cracking in the most painful spot
This is not a " nail hack " it's common knowledge to soak off acrylic nails with acetone. I know this video is a year old but it was a well known way to remove acrylic nails even then. I'm disappointed as I hoped this was something useful.
I don’t usually ever respond to comments like this but I can honestly say u didn’t watch the whole video because if u did u would have know I mention that this wasn’t i’m really a hack and I also spoke about doing it the right and correct way. Also outlining that in the beginning I did mention that it was a trend going around and I thought I would try it out knowing the a smoke off take more than three minutes. Don’t come at me and without having any facts and obviously the people who enjoyed this video can show as it has over 30k views.
@@DiamondsonmyNails Actually I did watch the whole video and how is my comment "coming at you" Lmao guess you can't handle constructive criticism or take a joke which is all it was intended to be. I didn't dislike the video and I hope you have a wonderful day. Lighten up. Life's too short and nobody gets out alive.
I hope you can understand where I’m coming from this video was for fun as I’ve been going in a journey to learn the ins and outs to doing nails and having some fun along the way. I tried to be very detailed in the video and explained exactly where the concept was coming from. I understand the that this method has been around for a long time but I thought it was funny that people were claiming it could remove a full set of nails in just 3 min. The assumption that soak offs are common knowledge just set the tone for the comment and didn’t seam funny of construction. Some people honestly don’t know what to do, how to do it our how long it takes. I’m sorry if I miss read your comment. But it did come off a bit mean. Also I’m glad u enjoyed watching because it was so fun making this one
So many wrong these in the video but go awf sis 🤣 if you don’t know what you’re doing ….. first off this isn’t a hack and you could have gotten this off in 30 minutes total if done the right way ….. the fact that you called this a hack and this is an actual process for us REAL nail techs …….

I use soak-off liquates removes all my press-on nails
You have to file your acrylic first so it can be almost half removed otherwise you will soak your nails in acetone for ages..
Soaking off my nails is the part I hate the most that and filing 🤣
Stamp of Beauty righ you see my dilemma I really wanted this hack to work so bad 😭 I’m going right back to my old methods. Thanks for ur support love be blessed all my love 😘

Top coat is non porous, meaning the acetone will barely penetrate anything. So next time file it down first.
