    Calisthenics athletes dedicate years of our lives to learn skills like full planche, one arm pullups etc. Don't expect to be able to do these right away!!!!

    I love your mix of different workout techniques. This looked so hard. But at the same time it made me want to try it myself.

    Lucy! What a great discovery this morning to see your YT!!!
    There are progressive exercises to build up to the CH efforts. The one arm PU, us a strap or box and start at the top and control your down, and repeat. It's weird but that help builds the strength. Form is everything and helps prevent injury.

    Started with Pike push ups then after a couple of weeks, get your feet up on a bench and cont. with pike push ups then progress to the wall as support. It should take you a few short weeks to the handstand push up.

    So cool😍 I love how flexible you are to change and trying new things! Mind/Body workouts are surely the best way to workout-and if in doubt practice a handstand❤️

    I love calisthenics and aspire to get the chris heria moves one day... ive only started recently but already see so many improvements. Also for Lucy....i know you love strong women as much as me hence why i love watching your channel...please train like 'Summer fun fitness'! she is the queen of calisthenics and does all the moves Chris Heria does and more...she can do a muscle up into a press handstand on a straight bar, its insane! self taught too!

    Training calisthenics for years and I still can't planche. It's probably one of the hardest Cali exercises. Resistance bands for your feet and some parallel bars will help. Chris is elite!

    I mean I can’t do it either but I watch a lot of gymnastics videos and you really need to stretch your wrists before those moves. Watching gymnasts how-to press to handstands is your best bet because they’re taught absolute technique.

  • @yoshi1951
    @yoshi1951 ปีที่แล้ว

    You are ruining your joints and tendons by trying things you can't hold for at least 10 seconds. Rushing into new exersizes ia a common cause of problems under unexperienced gymnasts.

    • @LucyDavisFit
      @LucyDavisFit  ปีที่แล้ว

      I don’t think I’m doing damage here, I’ve ran 100k, that hurt my joints more 😂 I also used to do gymnastics as a young kid so anything I couldn’t do I just stopped 👍🏼

    • @yoshi1951
      @yoshi1951 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@LucyDavisFit yes you may not. But it is not a good example how to approach new exersizes. And in fact you can hurt yourself very easaly when doing suddenly straight arm stuff without being used to it. I had myself several joint issues when I switched from normal gym to calisthenics. The more strengh you have in the muscles the more easy it is to over do a new exersize.

    • @LucyDavisFit
      @LucyDavisFit  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@yoshi1951 the only straight arm exercise I did was handstands, which I can do so should be ok on that front!! Appreciate the advice 🫶🏻

    • @yoshi1951
      @yoshi1951 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@LucyDavisFit I meant the tucked planche attempts😅the elbows should be locked out here, but ok.
