It’s not winter if you don’t need a puffer jacket ;) I always knew you were a tough dude, now I can see it for sure - holding the mainsheet between your teeth - legend! Thankyou so much for the lovely video.
Brilliant, like the lingo. Some really nice shots in there. Especially the sunset. Well done Bruce I enjoyed this different kind of take on things around your way.
Yes great idea, I have cruised it by keel boat before but would love to come back in my dinghy. I was there at Christmas with my family and nearly brought my boat but thought I’d be spending too much time with it and not the girls.
I love your videos.! I have an 1970 odey javelin. Very close to your boat. I am in the process of overhauling the rig and sheets and interested in your set up. I wonder would you do an in depth video about your rigging. I would like to set mine up the way yours is. Cheers mate
Thanks Jeremy, yes I will endeavour to do a video on my setup, I have been thinking about this for a while. I am busy with lots on at the moment so I may need a few weeks to do it. Cheers Bruce.
I must say i'm a bit jealous of your little winter cruise here. Around my way we also have winter temps that will range from 2-20 degrees, except we measure in Fahrenheit, so a wee bit cooler. Regardless hats off to yah!
What do you think of this design, your little trailer sailer? She looks like a nice quick boat that seems to go along real well,. I'm one of those nerdy types that likes to hear what the wind speed is, what knots the boat is getting, angle of attack and all that interesting stuff. love these clips mate
Thanks,Yes the design is good for what I do.Fast stable and somewhere to sleep under cover. I like to tweak the boat when I sail with lots of controls and having a Spinnaker is great for light weather performance.
Hi,yes I have completed a test capsize before venturing offshore and I have since capsized twice for real. I can right the boat by myself and have recently installed a big 12v pump to help bail the water out. Here is a link to a video where I capsized on my way to Broughton Island.th-cam.com/video/kZHFFu0N0eU/w-d-xo.htmlsi=9Y08OCGL02G38LNZ

Thanks Ross, you’re getting pretty slick on the videos yourself these days.
Great video Bruce nice tiller control with the leg keep them coming
Thanks Greg will do.
Another great video. Keep them coming 👍
Thanks Charles will do.
Nice mate…
Nice weekend out mate. You and some of the other dinghy cruisers from your area will have to make a pilgrimage up to the Keppel group one winter.

Great viewing as always. Would have been an interesting phone call had we connected that evening! Take care and see you out there another time. Josh
Thanks Josh, yes it would have been an interesting call alright!
One can understand why he did not take that call as he was making sailing candy.

Wow yes that’s a lot cooler. What part of the world are you from?
Cheers Bruce
@@brucedyson-smith459 Over in the US, north coast of Maine the summers are nice but the winters can be a bit chilly lol
You dress for the conditions... And sartorial elegance.
Thanks Steve 👍
Nice, got the spinnaker flying! I have a down hall on mine to retrieve, but I am terrible at solo spinnaker handling.
I needed it that day.
Brucey, the worlds most active and underdressed sailor. Hope you're doing well mate. Talk soon.
Thanks bud

Day sailer is an Uffa Fox design, a really nice little boat.
Have you ever thought about capsizing? What happens then to the outboarder? Are you sure you will right the boat alone??? I doubt

Hi , just wondering why you have your main sheet going to the Stern ???
My boom is a fairly small section so I like having the pull of the sail distributed from the middle to the end of the boom.
Hi how big is your sailboat?
5mtrs long.
