    Great video Bruce. These mini cruises on a small boat like yours have as much adventure as a few months on a larger yacht. No margin for error at all which increases the satisfaction level I'm sure. I'm impressed with how organised you are in all aspects including your cooking and the recipes you cook. Impressive all round!

    What a great trip Bruce. The video is great and I liked how you explain different aspects of sailing your boat. Well done. Thanks for sharing.

    I always set out a "man overboard" line anytime I'm single handing. I got a lot of crap from folks telling me that I'll never be able to pull myself back to the boat or grab the line quickly enough. I'm really glad I see that you have a line same as I do! haha 🤙⛵ Fair winds

      I reckon your body weight in the water would make the boat round up with the line tied to the side of the transom.That’s assuming you grab it,then you can swim to the boat.
      It’s gotta be better than no second chance.
      Cheers mate

      Sure nice to see you sailing a DS ; it inspires me to get this 77 DS2 customized to be able to do the same here in Texas. Heres to distant horizon s over the blue.

    You made it look easy again. Great close whale encounters. I would love to say’s something insightful about your sailing but I am too inept at it to know what to say. I really just comment for the TH-cam algorithm and so you know your efforts are appreciated. Keep it up!

    Great video! Really appreciate the footage explaining technical aspects. Good entertainment and educational value. I will rig a gybe preventer before attempting to sail my oday from Brisbane to camp at Moreton Island. Looking forward to the next video!

      Thanks I am glad to see you getting something out of it. I mainly use the preventer offshore when waves tend to bounce the boom around a lot.

    Very relaxing watching you confidently sail in the ocean. Yet to ever sail in the ocean. Rivers and inland lakes are my options.

    Fantastic video and adventure. It would be great to learn a little about how you setup anchor to stabilise your position overnight on beaches like that. Do you have a video?

    • @brucedyson-smith459
      @brucedyson-smith459  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Lee, I don’t have a video on it but I use a sand anchor as that’s usually the bottom I am encountering for the areas I sail. Usually I would set a stern anchor to hold me into the waves but when there is a lot of swell as there was in this case , the boat gets jerked back and forth making it to uncomfortable.
