I just finished a month-long trip to China. I went to Beijing, Shanghai, Xi'an, Lanzhou, Urumqi, Lijiang and other cities. I saw super modern, clean and well organized megacities. I also saw beautiful grasslands, forests, snow-capped mountains, lakes, deserts and canyons like fairy tales. I have to say that this trip was really great. China's infrastructure is first-class, the scenery is first-class, and public transportation (especially high-speed rail) is top-notch. The food is delicious and the people are friendly. In a month, I didn't see homeless people, drug addicts and alcoholics. Although there are often vendors in scenic spots selling us overpriced and useless products, it's harmless. The level of public safety in the city is top-notch. Because of the time difference, we couldn't sleep at night, so we often explored the city at midnight. Unexpectedly, many shops on the street were still open at midnight, and single young women wearing cool clothes walking on the street at night were everywhere. I must praise China's public transportation and safety. Fast, clean and punctual public transportation really made our trip very calm and very convenient to go anywhere. The safe environment made our trip without anxiety about danger. China is so huge that one month is not enough for us to explore it in depth. My wife and I will definitely visit again in the future.

      @aarthirajaraman7453 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

What do you expect when all the druggies, impoverished and alcoholics are hidden away from the people. China is miles ahead of us easily, it's been an open economy since 1976 and has had a straightforward, no nonsense government that works for the people, until now, our government was to busy squabbling on some dumb topic or the other though in the last 10 years, Modi has shut off a lot of the BS and pumped life into the economy, India is even being talked about like this because of Modi though he also has his flaws. Some plans are poorly executed like demonetization or Ram Mandir, the un needed religious hoobla and refusal to accept Islam, India is a secular state where people regardless of religion can live, not be persecuted.

As Chinese, we don't want to rule Indians or any foreigners, Don’t think that we want to rule the entire world just because the Western media says we want to rule Taiwan. The PRC and ROC are still in a state of truce in the civil war today. We and India are not civil war structures, so we never wanted to rule Indians or any foreigners, it will be big burden for us.
Remember, we don't even want to rule Koreans or Vietnamese, like we completely withdrew our troops after the Korean War and Vietnam War, The United States still maintains a large military presence in South Korea not us, so why do we want to rule non-Confucian, non-Mongoloid race? South Asians and East Asians are very different racially and culturall, there will be very serious conflict if we rule them even with good intention, Moreover, it took the CCP 40 years to completely eliminate extreme poverty in China. During this period, do you know how many grassroots officials died on the road to poverty alleviation? I don’t think any CCP official would want to go through this for another 1.4 billion people again.
But if you say that China's system may allow India to succeed, then Indians themselves should support the Naxalite-Maoist revolution, This is the awakening of the exploited farmers at the bottom of India, and we can't do much to help.

I still see hungry, unemployed youth giving excuses instead of realizing that they were scammed by the political propaganda of religious divide, while their political masters were looting the country. Until the youth accept that reality and fix their politicians, they will become unemployed into their middle age. Bangladesh is a good example of what happens when youth are unemployed.

So what better way to prove this narrative than at the world's largest sporting event (2024 Paris Olympics). All of China’s finest athletes will be there, as well as India’s best, competing alongside the world’s greatest at the highest level. I have checked the facts - Indians pay FAR LESS taxes than Europeans. Most Indians were not paying taxes in the past (taxes that they should have been paying) - because of the unorganized economy and cash transactions. Now all that is changing and Indians are feeling the taxes. In fact, many more Indians should be paying taxes. The other issue is attitude - Europeans are taxed heavily - and we KNOW it. Yes, we choose to pay taxes so that the country can function. There is corruption here also. Things need to improve here also. Running away to other countries is not a solution - you will be taxed there as well.

India can't compete with China because most Indian intellects are educated in the west ideologies, and therefore tends to think in terms of short term gains while ignoring long term pains. Democracy in India has also caused economic progress on a mode of two steps forward, but one step backwards symdrone, given the when opposition parties gain political power, they invariably reverse the economic policies of the previous government. More importantly, the Indian Caste system has directly deprived India of at least 800 million rural poors of their abilities to contribute meaningfully to India's future endeavors.

There's also firms that have lost the guarantee of being able to be open when the current lease runs out as foreign retaliatory tarrifs and shutdowns become more common.
I'm sure some Chinese companies are leaving too because they see the bubble bursting but no, China is not some secret paradise we're all being misled about. Its an authoritarian irrational cult of personality that can and will declare companies persona non grata whenever they feel like it.

As an African watching from afar, i have never visited both countries but what i can deduce from this comparison is that India is being swayed by the phony praises it is getting from the West thinking that it was a liberal democracy and a role model in Asia as per as the so called democracy is concerned. But its deep rooted Hindu nationalism and caste system is being downplayed by the West and Indian leadership thinks as long as the west is ignoring this problems every thing is okayed. Indian general elections are no different from African elections of coercion, fear, intimidation and corruption. The Chinese on the other hand are being demonized by the same West that the CWP is hindering freedom of expression and the people are in bondage, wether the west likes it or not the Chinese doesnt need any democratic lecture because this is a nation of more than 6000 years civilization and it has to follow its own model that's fit its aspirations and it is working to the chagrin of the west. India on the other hand is living on the illusion that it is one bride the west cherished all the times.

I'm so glad this country made it out of this dark period. Now the life expectancy is compatible to a rich country. Congratulations.

Brother, I am from northeast India and i look like chinese and I can say that china 🇨🇳 is way ahead of India. Even in the shanghai region china is way ahead of usa. Brother I am talking with my experience in china, korea and india. I know that some chinese hate india but also those indian kids that say bad about china are mostly indian kids or Pakistani or western bot account that want to spread hatred among india and china so that the they can benefit.
Even in the south korean and japanese youtube channels on india china clashes in the border video they comment wanting us to destroy each other by nukes. But thier are also bot accounts that comment (india superpower 2040 etc). They are just bot account that want to spread hatred among india and china. Brother I had very good experience talking with chinese girls and playing games with chinese boys, so I love china 🇨🇳 from india🇮🇳. I also love chinese manhua and donghua like soul land. Brother as neighbour and the two oldest civilizations we should not fight with each other and support each other against the west. But the government is sigh ruining the relationship.

You mentioned that only Canada and Norway are so generous with maternity leave. In Hungary during the first 6 months of maternity leave (CSED) the mothers get MORE money per month compared to when they were working. They can stay home up to 3 years. Companies are obligated to employ them after the leave ends. During 6-24 months of the leave (GYED) they still get decent money. During 2-3 years (GYES) the allowance is very low but mothers can still stay at home.

Hasn't helped their birth rate tho, which is what that policy was enacted for. It spiked initially as people who'd been putting off having kids finally did so, but after that it's just come back down and continued to decline. In other words, it didn't convince people to have more kids. At this point it's just a financial burden for the govt. to continue with it.

As an Indian i am happy with his economic work and infrastructure work i understand that we cant grow like china and unlike china we need social harmony for our democracy to work and that was getting or atleast the feeling of erosion was increasing, PM Modi cant win votes just by economic growth he needs the populist anti islam rhetoric cant blame him its a social thing but as an Indian we cant have that tension stretching for longer periods for stability of the nation thats what PM Modi failed at, he let it to be stretched to a new level.

Excerpt point that's why he got unpopular this time And also, he has failed to deliver his promise to get the unemployment levels to lower But the core issues he did not address for that especially the skill gap Govt always spends on the IIT & IAM Like this institutes but they never work on the ground level, like we need a good polytechnical up to date curriculum colleges We need industry connected specific institutes to train the people like tvs does Do you know tvs have a training institute If a polytechnical guy can join and get trained after that, if they want to continue with the tvs, they can continue, or they can do apprenticeship Get a certificate and go to any other company These type of institutes were regularly required in local level No government will not do that. Do you know state level Foundries are there. They can give the training but people are not willing to take that because their stipend is meagre 5000 only After that, job is not guaranteed We need to urgently fix the syllabus which is quite outdated Not even practical and also need Lot of changes in education system and remove the reservation system Only merit can prevail in the education
And also, government have to explore alternate educ And they have to advertise all the sectors which currently India requires and what type of jobs it will create in this industries and what type of skill set it needed, and what type of courses we have to do to get the jobs Do you know we have a lot of industries which require specialist but we dont have We are using patchwork mechanisms to fulfil that rules Everyone doing the computer science or medical the shiny things but no one is doing this type of specialist courses I do not blame them. They do not get much publicity or any institute specialisation And our parents also always pushes like a sheephead for one thing Now a days, parents are slowly realising, but still, I would blame the our parents for some things which they dont know because of Govt did not publicised what they are needed

Because China is an export oriented economy, whereas India is a services based economy.
The good thing about export oriented economies is they can provide jobs to large swaths of people, whereas IT services only creates jobs for the educated upper class.
And in order for you to have a strong export economy, you need to have infrastructure to get your products to port to be exported.
Because China has a strong central government, they can build roads, infrastructure, ports, electric grids, power plants, sewage systems with very little impediment. India has too many different parties to appease at the federal and local lvl before they start building due to its democratic system.
With good infrastructure and a large willing labour force, foreign investors and local entrepreneurs were more willing to set up factories in China.
This partially explains why India's economy has lagged China's.

It is true that China's global export trade volume is large, but it is easy to give people the illusion that China's economy is mainly dependent on exports. In fact, the total amount of China's imports and exports currently accounts for only about 18% of China's economy.

India is mainly a service provider on a Global stage, So Many accounting firms out source the work to India, But That put India in direct competition with the US as they are the number 1 service provider in the world. India is also the only country That can produce patented drug without having any patents which China can no longer Do after joining the WTO, That is why Medicine is really cheap in India. India exported about 300b USD worth of agriculture products mostly to China. India then use the money to buy cheap oil from Russia, refining them and sell them with doubled price to EU.

Because, the political elite has failed to admit the existence of the caste system as a social and political problem. Those who have vested interests in keeping the caste are very powerful. As far as this powerful group is strong, India will always be unable to compete with China. In the 21st century, it is a big shame for India to allow the existence of such social stratificaions.
