I’ve been watching since you all lived in a tiny home with just little Ivy and Calvin. Ivy is so grown up. Amazing how the time goes. What a good helper!
Can i just say i appreciate you talking so positively about having older kids. You don't hear that much. Its always, enjoy them when they're young/can't talk/walk etc.. you actually make me excited to see my baby grow and not dread it.
Having older kiddos is the best!!! It takes lots of work and discipline in the younger years but if your diligent in your parenting older kiddos are a blessing and a joy!!
My kiddo is 26 but I honestly preferred him after about 8 years old. Don't mistake me. I have deeply fond memories of his baby/toddler years. But I definitely prefer the more communicative ages. He was interesting and curious and had interest in topics I didn't. So talking with him broadened my own interests and knowledge. Even now at 26, he teaches me things and is just a really interesting person. Keeping the lines of communication seems to have been the most important basis of enjoying him into and through the teen years.
At the end you say to put your feet up. Girl my feet have been up the whole vid! 😂 My fourth baby is asleep while the others are at school and my house is clean so I took a shower and laid down on the couch to watch this and drink my reheated coffee. 😂😂😂 cheers! ☕️
I’m 37 weeks pregnant with my third while taking care of my dying grandma in late stage dementia. I’m trying to find a balance between working hard and serving, and giving my body rest. Sometimes my body forces me to sit down and I hate it, but I’m trying so hard to give myself grace in this crazy season. I have to remember the God who created our universe took time to rest! It’s just hard to rest in this hustle culture we live in 😅I’m glad to see another mama take a step back when her body is tired.
* hugs * I'm so sorry about your grandma. Stay strong and be good to yourself! Take lots of breaks, drink lots of fluids, and don't be afraid to ask for help from others... especially when you need breaks or have to do any lifting. Even if you're just sitting next to your grandma, it can still be very taxing on your body because of all of the emotions and anxiety. Dementia/Alzheimer's is one of the most horrible things I can think of. I helped my dad care for my mother as she was dying from young-onset Alzheimer's. The end was a true test of faith for all of us. My husband was working overtime while I was at home caring for our 4 year old and my mom(we were getting ready to buy our own home, so we needed the money). We had just gone through a stillbirth right before my mom passed away, so my emotions and hormones were already a mess. I honestly don't know how I got through all of that without having a nervous breakdown. If I may give one more piece of unsolicited advice, if you're not doing so already, talk to your grandma. Talk to her about anything. Hold her hand. Pray with her. My mom was pretty much in a gentle sleep in her final hours(hospice gave us the good medicine to administer to her), but she would still smile when we talked to her or touched her. Familiar voices can be comforting.
oh my gosh Ivy has gotten so big! I remember when she was the only child and y'all were still in the little house, so cool to have watched your family grow over the years and see how everyone has evolved
I love watching videos like these. We are also getting over sickness in our house and it can be hard to show up as a homemaker/ mama when your not feeling your best. I always have to remind myself that my priorities are taking care of my family. Sometimes that means cuddling my daughter when she’s not feeling good and putting my to do list aside. I also love putting my feet up.
First trimester over here. I can barely get anything done with the fatigue and morning sickness. And this is my 3rd pregnancy but first pregnancy where I can’t stomach coffee at all. Definitely struggling to enjoy homemaking right now. 😅 I know it’s just a season but I feel so guilty!
This was just the perfect video I needed to close my day as a fellow menstruating mama 🤝😄I know in your time zone you are probably just about to start, but this was just so nice to get some things done before going to bed , plus getting a much needed reminder to give myself some grace and rest 🤍 Bless you Sarah, love your videos.
“When you have little kids your in the trenches”. Ugh - as a mom to a four year old, two year old and one year old I feel so seen!! My husband and I constantly have to remind ourselves that we are on the same team because some days feel like warfare 😂 but so worth it!!!
I soak my veggies from my garden or fruit from the store in baking soda and vinegar for 20-30min wash really good then they go in the fridge. Then wash again with water before consuming ❤
Feet up is real. I don't fully understand it either, but it's one of the absolutely most soothing things I can ever do for myself-nothing else even needed-if I'm tired or feeling unwell. 10/10, would recommend.
So refreshing seeing a more chill day from you. I always think “how does she make every meal from scratch and homemade bread every day?” I mean you did make bread in this vid but, still appreciate seeing leftovers lol ❤
Lisa from Farmhouse on Boone responded to comments like this one time by reminding people that we don't see her all day everyday. We see 15 minutes from the day or sometimes even from the whole week. We're seeing mere highlights from the most productive moments while kids are outside, etc. It isn't that these vloggers are being dishonest. It's just that we can't possibly see everything. She also reminded us that moments of rest, sickness, or downtime are pretty uninteresting content so, of course, we don't see it! That helped me a lot- when I remembered that not everything is go go go all day long every day.
@ yes it’s hard to remember and not compare your life. I want to be productive and give my kids the best, but I also need to take time to rest and just be with them ❤️ thank you for your comment
Been a long time lover of your content and take a lot of inspiration from your homemaking in my own life! I was wondering if you had any other creators you also enjoy or take inspiration from? ❤
I've been watching you since you were a makeup channel. I love seeing how you've evolved and grown, and just made a channel and content that is uniquely Sarah 🫶
Thank you for this video Sarah! I'm 32 weeks pregnant and also have a 4 year old and a 2 year old. And I have many days where I don't feel like homemaking!
100% love your videos and respect what you’re showing. I just want the audience to realize she has 5 kids and her husband is the primary caretaker while she is filming this whole “by myself SAHM” video. Or she is just locking her children up somewhere because as a fellow SAHM I would love to know how she does all of this without the toddler/baby ever bothering her while trying to clean or cook 😂 Jealous? Possibly. Skeptical? Absolutely! 😅
I too am menstruating and am exhausted. My feet hurt so badly today that I had to leave work to come home and lay in bed. My daughter is almost twelve and very self sufficient. Thank-you for the reminder to slow down and for the video this week. ☺️🥰 P.S I really want to make sourdough bread but it is to confusing to me. 🤷🏻♀️🙈😅
😂 coming out of exactly this feeling this week was hard as a woman 😅 kids were gracious with mama❤ forgot the butter in muffins broke 3 glasses just fog brain lol but we made it!
It’s wild! everyone knows we should wash our fruit in vinegar water to clean it & get the bugs out, but it often feels like a quick rinse is enough. Yikes. I hope it was nothing serious
She had posted on her Instagram about it. You take a dose of Combantrin (available at Walmart, Amazon, etc) and take another dose two weeks later. I have done this every six months or so for years. De-worming helps with energy, sleep, etc. (Disclaimer: This is not medical advice. Use at your own discretion.)
How did you figure out your bread machine when it comes to sourdough? Do I do it exactly the same as yeast settings or? I have a bread machine but I’m scared to use it bc I’m so use to using my hands😂
Do you ever run a full bread cycle in your machine? I feel like if I didn’t feel well, I would have the machine bake the bread too. Of course, you can’t make focaccia in that but …
Why do you watch her content if all you do is criticize everything she does? Every comment I've seen from you on her channel, is criticizing her. Watch something else. Her bread and greens is healthier than a big mac.
She said she is now soaking her fresh fruit and then she mentioned at the end you can also get worms from frozen fruit…but she didn’t specify that she got it from frozen fruit
just a doc saying that you CAN get worms from frozen fruit because they can go into a dormant state after freezing and become alive again once in your system. i don’t know where we got worms from, but that’s one of the great options we could have gotten them from 😭🫠😁

I genuinely don’t understand women who are controlled by their cycles. Even as someone with pcos which causes severe hormone imbalances, I have never had a hard time managing myself through my cycle. I just live my life lol am bleed sometimes there really isn’t much too it. Idk why it affects ppl so much
Your answer is in your statement: "I've never had a hard time managing..." Some women have very difficult symptoms that you apparently don't experience (e.g. for myself, extreme fatigue, joint pain and persistent vomiting). If you're on the internet you should be old enough to know that your experience doesn't define all possible experiences....
@kitty19254 It cannot hurt. She doesn't appear to be having persistent vomiting. At 11:00 she talked about day 1,2, and 3 of her period. She gave no dramatic symptoms. I'm assuming she means cramping and tired.
So you watch a 15-minute video and suddenly you're an expert on her life? You only saw 15 minutes of a 24-hour day! Such an ignorant comment from a clearly ignorant human!
The title meant she did not want to be a homemaker... that particular day. She's always wanted this lifestyle. She has said that for years. She isn't oppressed...
So I am religiously oppressed? Wow, me thinking for almost fifty years that I was happy, feeling good, being a loving mom for my adult kids now, feeling loved by the Lord, but now...since you said it...wow. Well, nehhh, not buying that. I stay happy.
I had them about a decade ago, pretty sure they came from an organic farmer's market stand sample. I now never eat unwashed fruit or vegetables. Umm...
