Fun times Ricky! I think you missed knobs hitting earthquake with brass knuckles prior to his throwing bushwhacker Luke out
Also with all this talk of Mount Rushmore’s of wrestling, why not put your 4 in a 4 way match and let the game decide? You can also take listeners 4 and do the same.
Oh, btw, macho never does well because you are rooting for him. The curse is real
Hahs the curse is real
At least Macho Man's Retirement loss against The Ultimate Warrior gave us one of the most memorable reunions of all time between him and Miss Elizabeth. How can you NOT get misty eyed seeing Miss Elizabeth come to the aid of Macho Man, tossing an irate Sensational Sherri out of the ring, Elizabeth tearfully pleading with him while he was incredibly dazed and defensive, then finally the two of them embrace and he lifts her on his shoulders to Pomp and Circumstance. I'm choked up already typing this description.
Until they embrace with CRACK.
Y’all pay closer to these wrestlers than I pay to my own LIFE.
That Bushwacker Butch elimination was perfect. Almost prefect recreation. LOL
If my memory serves, when you watch the entryway for #18, there's a little flutter of orange cloth that sticks out of the curtain before disappearing back into it. I'm 99% certain that was the Warrior grabbing Savage by the scruff of the neck and yanking him back for a beat-down.
I always thought that was Animal starting to come through the curtain. He was the next guy.
Beetle brut down
@CCrawford522 it was Animal
Definitely Animal
Earthquake in the main event at Mania could've worked. He absolutely could've been given a run as the promotion's top heel. But could you have imagined Brian Knobbs headlining Wrestlemania? 😂😂😂
Macho Man did get chased out of the building by the Warrior! That is why he wasn’t in the Rumble in 1991
Quake's move on the Bushwhacker at around 31:10 is an Overhead Belly to Belly Suplex.
You don't need these manipulative titles Ricky. The content is great.
Shut up!!! Complaining about nothing
I'm loving these rumble videos! So cool! I can't wait for more! It would be interesting whenever you get to the rumbles with the WrestleMania title shots for the winners to recreate those matches as well. Id watch those too.
Love that the last 7/8 were tag team members lol... Keep up the great work!
I still remember watching Earthquake's TV debut. He wasn't a wrestler. Dino Bravo was doing some bit about how strong he was and had some kind of competition with the Ultimate Warrior. They were going to do pushups with some 'random' audience member sitting on their back. They pick Earthquake, Dino Bravo does his pushups. Now it's Warrior's turn. Earthquake squashes Warrior. I was laughing so hard because Jesse Ventura's doing commentary. Earthquake proceeds to earthquake Warrior a couple of times if I remember right.🤣
yeah i remember that like it was yesterday... he was disguised as a random audience member indeed!!!lol
@@RickyJSports Do you strictly do Royal rumble sims? Have you done anything like Summerslam when the Mega powers fought Mega Bucks?
Oh my God, I do remember that. Earthquake was just a simple audience member, that the camera man spotted which I remember was a set up, eventually? Was it Jimmy Hart? I don't remember that part? The two wrestlers Dino and Warrior were doing some kind of individual competition in the ring?
@@victorhohnberger151yeah, I just found the clip is actually on youtube, search 'Earthquake wrestler debut' and it should be there.
My memory was pretty good, except Earthquake splashed Warrior a couple times, not his patented Earthquake finish😂
These are so much fun to watch. Thanks for making these. And great commentary btw.
Anytime!!
I just subscribed! Having so much fun watching your channel. Thank you for what you do!
Looking forward to the 1992 Royal Rumble Replay. Go Ric Flar...LOL!
Wow dude u made my whole day Thank u!!!
Another banger. Ricky these videos are amazing. Seriously the best content I've ever seen. It's right up my ally. Thank you so much.
wow man i really appreciate you thanks a million brother!
Your videos are awesome. Brings back a lot of nostalgia. One suggestion, do recaps at the end: what number did the winner enter at, most eliminations, etc.
I love these rumble videos! Thank you Ricky for putting in the time and effort to these videos and thank you for all you do!
My pleasure!
To be fair. Hawk, was one of the two guys it took to eliminate The Undertaker, at the 1991 Royal Rumble. The other person for those that don't know, Road Warrior Animal. Rip to two of the greatest to make wrestling so much fun to watch in the 1980s to late 1990s.
Earthquake really deserves this win! It took him 33 years to win this version of the 91 rumble so kudos to the big Canadian! Thanks Ricky and so glad you didn’t quit TH-cam!😜👍🏻
Cheers,
Mike L 😎🇨🇦✌🏼
cheers my brother!!!!!!!
Love your channel,
Your wrestling is more fun than real wrestling
Especially with your great job on commentary. Thumbs up ❤❤👍
Thank you so much 😁
So relieved The Macho Man saved this channel. Fantastic entertainment as always Brother!!
Your Macho Man Impression is awesome :)
Keep going Ricky, loving these nostalgic rumbles!
Don't leave TH-cam Ricky you still have so much left to offer
u r the man thanks!
Good video! I can see this royal rumble storyline as those in tag teams trying to prove themselves in singles haha
Haha
Keep'em coming,love these videos
thanks man!
I enjoy watching the rumbles you do. It would be nice in my opinion if you did other types of matches. For example a elimination chamber match. Maybe you could even do past survivor series matches. Just a couple of suggestions
Ricky J Sports- Great work--as always.
thanks thomas man
@@RickyJSports- You're welcome.
Tyler's my first-name, actually--not Thomas.
Be that as it may, keep up the great work.
Another great rumble blast from the past With a twist with a different outcome🔥🔥 you could never give up TH-cam. There’s only one Ricky J Sports
cross fire you are the man!
Early nineties were great. My second favorite Canadian, Mario Lemieux brought Lord Stanley's cup to Pittsburgh for the first time and the following season for the second time. Wrestling was great then. Even my Pittsburgh Pirates were good. Those were good times .
Your aunt looks like Greg The Hammer Valentine? I guess not every Canadian woman looks like my favorite Canadian Pam Anderson. 😂 3:37
yeah for me the blue jays won the title in the early 90s twice! the leafs were in the final 4... GRETKZY should have been called for a high stick!!! hogan was facing warrior.. it was the best time ever
Perfect was slated to win the 1990 rumble. However, a few hours before the Rumble, Hogan politicted his way into winning it instead. Made no sense as Hogan was champion at the time and winning was more of an accolade. Hogan was at the top, winning that rumble did nothing for him. Perfect winning would have given him an even bigger push. Sad we didn't get to see it.
Why was there such a huge time gap between Hogan and Haku but then immediately The Anvil comes in?...... awesome video, really enjoyed it
Somehow, the Rock time travels and declares himself the winner, thus headlining Wrestlemania.
That Savage quote was great, I forget exactly how it went but there was a little more to it. He did it in the Arsenio Hall show.
thanks man haha i imitate him all of the time!
Great match Ricky. So glad ur keeping these rumbles alive. Long live the rumble series
Haha that was a fun watch.
Subbed
Watching this makes me feel like it's 1991 again and I'm playing wrestling figures with a friend! 😆 Talk about comfort watch.
Love that!
Dino Bravo was so over in Quebec, and just as ginormous, that they allowed his initial finisher of hammer throwing a Yugo from the turnbuckle to his opponent trapped in the tree of woe.
Guy once bench pressed depression right into the Nova Scotia coast--- not HIS depression. Just French Canadian depression in general.....
He once bear hugged a typical might candian maple tree and produced enough syrup to supply him for the year on his daily bowl of nails breakfast.
He won a world record for speed yellowpages tearing by stacking one over war and peace and tearing em in one clean motion -- one handed
What im saying is, the guy was friggin strong
Picturing Paul Roma being the coach of the Mighty Ducks is making me laugh really hard
Love your videos keep up the good work
Glad you like them!
I can't believe how much I enjoy this. Man...I grew up living for these events. Oh yeaaaah! Dig it!
"THAT IS NOT GONNA WORK FOR ME BRUTHAAAAHHH!" :P
I'd love to see an updated history at the end of the vids with the simulated Rumble winners listed alongside who actually won the event the first time around.
When Earthquake first came in he was in the stands and when he came to the ring he was John from West Virginia. Jimmy Hart called him to the ring for a push-up contest between Dino Bravo and UW. He turned on the Warrior because he was a Jimmy Hart plant. Then a week or two later he was The Canadian Earthquake. And then after a few weeks he was just Earthquake
I wished Tito Santana had a longer run as Intercontinental Champion. His flying forearm was epic! And the commentary of Jesse" the Body" Ventura always calling him Chico Santana was hilarious. Always had me laughing at that name.
me too he was a tremendous wrestler!!
@@RickyJSportsThe only thing that bothered me about Tito was he was a native Texan but he didn’t represent! He claimed Mexico!
I always thought the wwf during 1985-1992 should of had another singles title and definitely another tag team title. Too many guys and not enough titles. Especially 1986-1990. Maybe even 2 more singles titles. Wwf world title, intercontinental, u.s. , and tv. Then add a u.s. tag title, and a TV tag title.
@@jcelldogs exactly. If WWF at that time had titles like NWA wrestling then, it would've made alot more matches and rivalries to watch. It still was a great time to watch regardless, but I agree about the titles.
I feel like during these Rumbles, if you get an elimination you should get a health boost (even for CPU controlled players) , it would make guys who come in early have a chance to go the distance.
Is this on wwe 23 are all these players available I might have to buy this
31:01. Earthquake just gave him the........Booty Splash 😂
Just sharing with you an explanation about Demolition. Ax, aka Bill Eadie, had a fatal allergic reaction to shellfish that almost killed him just before WrestleMania VI. So Vince started working out a plan to phase Ax out of the team and introduced a new talent named Brian Adams, and dubbed him Crush. They ran with Demolition being a three member team for awhile. The plan was for it to be Smash and Crush, and Ax becomes a behind the scenes employee to work his way to being a road agent (something that didn’t work out but that is another story) . What didn’t help was that Vince signed the Road Warriors, and because Crush was not a seasoned wreslter like Ax and Smash, Demolition just lost traction with the fans. So Vince retired the team by having wrestlers on loan from SWS of Japan bury them at WrestleMania VII.
A world title match at that years wrestlemania with the rumble winner and the champion at the time would be interesting so we could see some what ifs. You should consider it
thanks man okay!
Def want more of these replay rumbles , these are amazing , would love some early 2000 rumbles
You got it
My mount Rushmore is the rock ,stone cold Steve Austin, bray Wyatt, and Mick Foley. These guys made me laugh.
I'd say Hulk Hogan, macho man Randy savage, ultimate warrior, Bret hart and Andre the giant.
Fun video! I wish Earthquake had a championship run circa 1990. He was a monster heel when they first brough him aboard.
Don't quit TH-cam, Ricky! We love you!
You do realize he's aware of the outcome prior to uploading it to TH-cam, right?
christian? its ricky!!
@@RickyJSports Sorry, I must have confused you with this other Canadian TH-camr I follow.
I've heard macho wasn't wrestling much during this time span being him and liz were trying to have a kid. He was off the juice for that reason, and was self conscious about his fans seeing the sudden change in physique, also why he went to the full body suites at this point. The retirement match was so he could take time off to start a family. Was also my favorite wrestlemania match ever!!!
Is this on the computer or a console? I always found that the create a wrestlers that you download always have glitches when you play on consoles.
Got nervous when you said you would quit TH-cam. RickyJ, you can't quit!! I need you to do the Invasion Rumble I pitched to you a few months ago.
haha thanks dude!
I remember watching this as a kid, with my dad in Saudi Arabia getting ready to liberate Kuwait, and when Slaughter won the title, I remember being so upset lol
Hey bud which game are you using to recreate these? Thanks.
wwe2k23!!
Don't leave TH-cam, you doing a fantastic job entertaining us on TH-cam. Thanks for sharing the happiness
thanks man!!!!!!!
Your content is awesome:) Don’t quit man lol
thanks as always for the support brotheer!
Hey Ricky j I'm a big fan of your channel and and all of your content. I love what you been doing with the WWE Royal rumbles lately. As a suggestion could you do a Royal rumble with all of Undertaker's WrestleMania opponents.
Now because he only has 27 wrestlemania matches with some of them being repeat opponents I'm thinking you can have three different versions of triple h come out, two different versions of Shawn Michaels and two versions of Kane.
Undertaker should come out as number one but because it's a 30 man Royal rumble with 27 WrestleMania opponents we can include three different versions of undertaker within the Royal rumble lol classic mortician undertaker, big evil undertaker and my favorite phenom undertaker.
Tell me what your thoughts I had a great time thinking of this idea and hopefully I trust you to put it to good use. Keep up the good work, love ya bro and stay safe.
thanks for the ideas man!

1991 was a very special year for wrestling fans, one that was part of a glorious time when a man like Hulk Hogan made history as the first multi-winner of the Royal Rumble. But as this video suggested, had Hulk Hogan won this match not only to repeat history but to redeem himself of losing in the last rumble during this season then Ricky Tortellini would ‘quit’ TH-cam (I’ve never been a fan of this manner of getting views). Fortunately, that was not the case as this series would demonstrate that you can never truly imagine just who will win this rumble. As a matter of fact, the final moments of this match featured some of the most unique finalists that we’d never imagine would stand a chance at winning this event. When it was all said and done, yet another powerhouse would secure the victory and stomp his way into the champion’s finale…
Earthquake… the big man from Canada… just how would his career have been different had he won this rumble? During the actual event, Earthquake was the runner-up when he lost to Hulk Hogan and that loss made it possible for Hogan to become the first man to win the rumble twice. The following event, when WrestleMania VII took place, the most Earthquake had to offer was a three-minute fight with Greg Valentine in which there was never any doubt that the big man would win. Had it have been Earthquake challenging Sgt. Slaughter for the championship, one would expect to root for Slaughter but at the time he was a heel competitor. This would have been a rare instance for Earthquake to win a singles title as he was mainly known for his tag title run with Typhoon, the eventual identity of Tugboat, but the most we can expect of Earthquake now is prove himself a powerful adversary in the season finale.
But who was my MVP of the 1991 Rumble? Let’s get down to the numbers:
Of the thirty competitors featured in this match, EIGHTEEN competitors secured the most eliminations (Three stars HIGHER over the average half). The highest count reached up to ‘4’ eliminations, which is three points higher than the average ‘1’ elimination.
I give the Golden MVP award for ‘coolest’ performance to…
The winner of this rendition of the 1991 rumble… Earthquake.
From the actual event’s runner-up to the winner of this event, this was a significant boost for the late John Tenta, who would eventually pass away after a losing fight against bladder cancer in 2006 (Fifteen years after this match). There was no doubt that this big man was a star, even if he didn’t have the best career during the WCW and later WWF years. There’s a reason still why Earthquake remains popular amongst fans whether in his home country or to wherever he took his skills. This was a man who had a promising start in his sumo career and now we hope he has a promising run in the season finale.
The nominees for the Dull Participation Medal for the ‘lamest’ performance are:
Bushwhacker Butch… and Hercules…
While it is no secret that neither of these men would win this rumble, and while there was no chance for a Bushwhacker to win this event (Though surprisingly before Luke, who made it to the Top Three in this run), I have to give the medal to… Hercules. Why him? Not the one who was eliminated first? Because in the last rumble on this channel, Hercules ‘won’ that event to secure a place in the finals… only to lose in the following rumble? That would almost lead fans to assume that Hercules’ previous accomplishment was a fluke, that someone else should’ve won that event. Whatever the case may be, it does not put Hercules in a positive light as this season continues.
Topping the very foundation that is the Royal Rumble Participants, Earthquake will be stomping his way to potentially the biggest win of this channel should he succeed in winning the finale. In the meantime, we ask the following questions: Who do you believe should’ve won this rumble? Would Ricky J. really have ‘quit’ the channel had Hogan won? Even in defeat, could this truly have been Randy Savage’s best effort had he entered the match? But the biggest question of them all:
Who’s next?
Ricky J Sports- How do you record the commentary you provide & the gameplay, respectively?...
Also, how do you post your videos onto TH-cam?...
i have a mic that i have been using since 2012 and i just record it using obs!!
@@RickyJSports- Nice.
You gotta sneak us a short video of your aunt with a side-by-side picture of Greg Valentine. I’m dying to see the resemblance now.
Lol I will
Saba Simba is the Tony Atlas version of Akeem
I still have this on VHS
First time I saw wrestling on TV it was when savage hit Ricky Steamboat with the bell. My first live event was WM3 . I was a fan up until I hit puberty and started liking girls. But but those mid 80s and early 90s days were great! We had to wait forever for main events and it just made it much more believable. My friends and I lived in Romulus Michigan which is right by the airport. We would have sleep overs and all sneak out on our bikes to a strip bar down the road called the landing strip when we knew their was an event. And like clock work they would all show up at midnight and find 5 12 year old kids waiting for them. They would all show up. Great times.
To be 100% honest with you this is the closest thing to The TSE aka The Top Shelf Experience Of Professional Wrestling . Good job. 🎉😊❤
Appreciate that
Hey love your videos man. Fellow Torontonian here East York 😆🤘❤️
wow that is insanely awesome!!
yes Ricky J I love these. The man who should have won it won it.
thanks big guy!!
THIS was a great rumble i remember renting it from blockbuster video, the nostalgia over load.
me too i rented them all man!
So Nobbs and Saggs would've been in the rumble. King Haku took the place of Saggs because he was ill/sick. The youtuber that did a little history on every royal rumble mentioned it, in his page. I think I sent you his name, in your last Royal Rumble, beforehand? I was going for Nobbs, I think they were still heels switching over from WCW to WWF back then? I thought Macho Man was going to win it, in your version this video. Great video, waiting for 1992 Royal Rumble! Keep them coming Ricky, thank you!
Most eliminations:
4 - Road Warrior Hawk, Earthquake
3 - Saba Simba
2 - Tito Santana, Undertaker, Randy Savage, Bushwhacker Luke
awesomeness!
Toronto represent! Ever go to PPVs at the cineplex at Eglinton and Warden?
The spirit of Macho is with you! Totally unexpected winner Excellent fun!!
Thx rr!!
I feel on Auntie Valentine, sorta--- my best friend's mom looked like a mix of Rugged Ronnie Garvin and Bill Parcells.
Sucks when u kinda liked Garvin and was a huge of Coach Tuna
That was a dang good Macho Man impression 👏
Wow thx brother 🙏 🙌 ❤️
You should put Vince McMan in there he’ll definitely shit on fools 😂
Underrated comment.
Yeah and have Austin theory come out to so Vince can slap him again
lol
I wish you could make the Royal Rumbles more realistic..
For example, teammates still hold a loose alliance during Rumbles in real life but in video games they treat each other like everyone else. Also big Main event Superstar usually come in red hot loaded with finishers to give to everyone...but in video games they all just come out cold.
I agree hopefully in time the games will be
Knobbs, Earthquake and Hogan were the final three in the actual '91 Rumble. Nasty boys and Earthquake were both managed by Jimmy Hart at that time which led to a massive double team on Hogan before Knobbs was eliminated
Ricky J Sports- Was this arena a customized one, or, one that you had to unlock in the game?...
it was a created one man!
@@RickyJSports- It sure as heck fooled me...
I thought it was either D.L.C., or, had to be unlocked, or, something like that.
These comments made my day. Thank you Ricky for using my arena! If anyone wants to check out more of them use #2kupinflames as your hashtag.. thanks again
what game and what system does he ply these on?
been loving theses videos makes me wanna get back into playing wrestling video games again.
wwe2k23 ps5 or xbox
Reason Nacho didn't go in the ring at the royal rumble was that if Slaughter wins. That Macho would get a shot at the title if he help him out.
Earthquake and Knobbs were in the final 3 with Hogan in 91 real life too
what a rumble brother!!! lol
Knobs & Earthquake were in the final 3 of the actual 91 Rumble…(with Hogan)
excited to see the 92 Rumble, see if Flair can do it again
Yeah...that one I am not so sure will even come close, but I am excited to see how it is not FAIR to FLAIR
we will wait and see man!! thanks marcus for the support!
Warlord had to change his aesthetic because Vince brought in LOD and Powers of Pain were essentially LOD ripoffs. No point having Hawk and Warlord with the same hair/make-up gimmick so shaved head/half mask/W staff was the call
What's up, Ricky J?❔️❓️ I prefer to see the health all the competitors.👀👁Congratulations to Earthquake for winning the Royal Rumble.🤝👏👊👍🥳🎉One wrestler who I would love to see is John Cena.👋
Don't let the hulkster interfere with the greatness on these madness rumbles.
92 is next. Seeing anyone other than Flair win in 92 will not be fair to Flair.
i needed to adapt to the missing lifebar, but it makes it more interesting.
cool brother!
You're still in it,you' had me sweating Brother. You can't quit on us. Can we get Carl Weathers in a Rumble rest in peace
Macho man didn’t enter because he was too busy keeping a watchful eye out for Miss Elizabeth… very protective of her
You called it , Ricky !
Which WWE 2K is this? Is it 24 or an earlier version?
23
Ax was suffering with a bad back - this is why Crush was brought into the group altogether.
Id go back to 95-99. WWF was mainstream, OJ was on the rampage, Industrial was at its peak......I was just too young to realize.
I watched the 91 and 93 royal rumbles literally hundreds of times when I was a kid. They were the only vhs tapes I had. I still have them, actually. They sit with my complete Hasbro figure collection that I kept under my bed for 30 years. I sure am glad I saved those and my gi joes. It’s not weird for a 37 year old man to still have toy room. My 2 year old son has one. Why shouldn’t I?
