Mark Mero looks like Little Richard, Ricky J. 🤣🤣Thank you again for these old but great Rumbles. Please do the ones you skipped over. They're always entertaining with your commentary!
Steve Austin battling and eliminating the monster chains like this would have been far more epic than what we actually got Austin eliminating the rock in a few seconds… also Austin and Farooq made the final 3 in the real rumble and the final 3 of this one… chains played the role of the rock here! Brilliant rumble to watch
Love these throwback Rumbles brother! True story. I graduated from culinary school in 1997. When they called my name to walk across stage, I did the Ric Flair strut and when they gave me my diploma I did the Golddust 2 hands up the body and grabbed my diploma. The President of the school came up to me afterwards and told me he was very disappointed in my unprofessional actions.
Me too. Yeah there were some cheezy jobber gimmicks during those days but there were still some good wrestlers. 95 was known for being a 2-man show but you still had Luger and Crush. Owen Hart and Bob Backlund were in there too but both were quickly eliminated after Bret Hart attacked them during their entrances.
Ricky J Sports- I had to laugh around 9:58-10:05 at the way D'Lo Brown looked when he rolled. He rolled in place, basically before taking what seemed like a 20-second nap. I wonder if any of the game developers saw anything like that during testing, for example. Great work, people!...
It was skull that didnt come out... The storyline was that there was a bounty on steve austin so the commentary made out it was stone cold and he had been taken out
Fun story: Steve Blackmon and Bradshaw actually got into a real fight during the attitude era. Bradshaw said that Blackmon had hit him 5 times before he even knew he was in a fight.
I love the Rumble Videos Ricky, keep up the excellent work, I just wanted to say, I hear you saying how you try to make teams work together in these Rumbles and I don't know if you know but if you run them on Universe mode and set the teams up there making sure that they are set as allies also, they will work together by not hitting each other and making saves for each other, it can sometimes break down if they accidentally end up hitting each other but for the most part it works, you can just set up a Royal Rumble PLE for each Sunday on the calendar and change the arena if you want to have a specific one for a themed Rumble. Hope this helps.
Bro I love your videos. I was dying talking about Honkey Tonk man. Calling him Honkey just killed me. I never called anyone honkey before but that's his name so it tickled me . Great content. I been watching your rumbles never realized I wasnt subscribed. I changed that. Good stuff brody.
WOW! I loved the ending on this so epic! It had me glued to the screen. 🤣 This was amazing. Kama Mustafa looked like he either got the worst sunburn 🥵 or he got a run in from a brood bloodbath! 😂 I can't wait for the Next One! I feel like im a kid again watching!
Ricky, Ahmed did hurt people. He hurt Ron Simmons and put him out for 9 months. There are multiple accounts of Ron returning and beating him down in the locker room.
D’Lo Brown beat him down in the locker room. Ron Simmons came back from injury and they mistakenly put him against Ahmed Johnson right away. Ron beat him down in a match at a house show. Apparently he kicked him as hard as he could and put Ahmed out for awhile and that killed his push. He was cut soon after and went to the WCW. Also Animal had beef with him too. He stole a pair of his shoulder pads.
The Royal Rumble originally had wrestlers coming out every 2 minutes. Then they shortened it to 90 seconds. The only exception was the 40 man rumble with wrestlers coming out every 60 seconds.
21:14 the Disciples of Apocalypse: Crush was also known as Brian Adams. Chainz was the fake Undertaker in his first WWF run and “Prime Time” Brian Lee in ECW. Skull and 8 Ball were Ron and Don Harris, later known as Gerald and Patrick as Creative Control in WCW.
8-Ball is actually one of the Harris twins, and was featured as one of the Blu Brothers in the '95 Rumble. Ever since Flair and Backlund did their endurance feats, there wasn't a wrestler lasting an hour in a match until 2004 when Benoit broke Backlund's 11-year longevity record.
Great rumble! Yeah man I heard many many wrestling podcasts and shoot interviews over the years and it’s unanimous that Ahmed Johnson was one of the stiffest and worst workers to legitimately hurt other wrestlers. He’s one of the more infamous for that. I am not sure if they let him go for that reason, that appears to be a fact.
Primetime Brian Lee was a big mean fucker in ECW the days when it was extreme as it got days like his epic scaffolding match with idk how many tables stacked on top of each other lol
Some of these Rumbles just have better aesthetics, and by Jovi, this is one of them! At 11:46 when The Rock clocked D'Lo Brown, and he was out cold for a full minute...Is going in my Hall of Fame!
Ricky, I remember when Ahmed Johnson got ko'd and as they put him in a stretcher, gold dust gave Him CPR but was actually kissing lips . pissed him off 🤣
About the rumbles being shorter. They experimented with rumble entrance times being shorter which would explain why some feel longer than others. Having watched pretty much all of them, they definitely don't actually wait the whole 90 seconds for the next guy 😅.
Great rumble! Should do another fat guys rumble and name him Honky Ton Man! Also, I'm pretty sick today so i might be late for the livestream because i'm passed out.
Many thanks for the vids and your commentary. I'd like to see a Money in the Bank with the big a** ladder. Always loved playing those. Almost spent 2 hours one time to win it. Or some hardcore matches with multiple wrestlers. The more the merrier hahahaha. Again thanks for bringing us some fun times.
Yea bro plz plz plz deeeeefinately dont skip any, otherwise whats this all been for haha, you gotta hit em all my man...but keep up the good work these are so awesome
It’s so weird that this was on my Home Screen. It’s even more weird that I stopped scrolling. And it’s just flat out crazy that I watched the whole thing for some reason. Lol.
Random Wrestling Sketches *Ava Raine and Toni Storm are sitting in a gigantic tea cup together, complete with seatbelts and crash helmets* Toni: Okay, are we live yet, man? Ava: I think so, Toni. You're good to go. Toni: Cheers. (to the camera) Hello, public. This is Toni Storm. Now, as you may know, I've left the WWE behind, but I've still got mates here, so today, I thought I'd try a little funny game with Ava's help. I call it... drumroll please, Ava! Ava: (makes a drumroll noise) Storm in a Teacup! Okay, technically, it's Storm *and Raine* in a teacup, but... you get the gist. Storm: We've borrowed- not nicked, *borrowed-* this giant teacup from a fairground ride, and planted ourselves at the top of this big wavy slide! (she points the camera out of the cup, indicating the long slide they have to ride down in order to reach the bottom) Ava: When we give the signal, our friend the British Bulldog- (she indicates Davey Boy Smith standing just behind the teacup, who's nervously wringing his hands and grimacing)- is gonna put his foot against the teacup and push us down the slide! Toni: (to the Bulldog) Davey, mate. Any words before you give us a shove? Bulldog: Yeah, girls. This is a really dangerous, stupid idea, and I wish you'd pack it up before we get into trouble with HR. Toni: Ah, what are you worrying about, you pessimistic pommie? I've told you, we've got a perfect shock absorber to cushion our landing right at the bottom, in the form of Paul Heyman's car! *The camera zooms in on Paul Heyman's car, which has massive padded cushions tied to its left side* Ava: Well, I reckon we're good to go. Strap yourself in, Toni. (she does so) Bulldog: Look, if I can't talk you down, girls, at least do me a favour. If Triple H, or the Rock, *or* the Tribal Chief get word about this, don't drag *my* arse into the fire by sayin' I helped you. Say you were kidnapped and forced into this by Randy Orton. They'll be forgiving then. Toni: Aw, you're so considerate and thoughtful, Davey! Right, (straps herself in) shove and spin! Bulldog: (Closing his eyes with a pained expression) Forgive me, Rocky. (and he grabs the handle of the teacup, and pushes it away at the same time as spinning) *The teacup slides and spins down the slide with a smooth, undulating motion. Ava and Toni both scream excitedly and throw their hands in the air* Toni: WHEEEEEEEE!!! (singing) *YOU SPIN ME RIGHT ROUND, BABY, RIGHT ROUND!!* Ava: THIS IS PRETTY COOL! WHO NEEDS THEME PARKS WHEN YOU CAN DO IT LIKE THIS INSTEAD?! *Down at the foot of the slide, Paul Heyman arrives at his car- then notices the makeover it's received* Paul Heyman: What the-? (glares around) *Who the heck's tied these to my car?! Jimmy!? Jey?! You think this is funny?!* (he tears the cushions off the car, opens the door, and climbs inside, grumbling) F***in' idiots. *Back on the teacup, Ava pokes her head out, sees Heyman, and panics* Ava: Uh-oh. Toni?! Toni: Yeah? Ava: Bad news. Heyman's found his car, and he's moving it! Toni: (silent for a moment, then starts screaming and panicking) OH, S**T!! WE'RE GONNA CRASH INTO A WALL!! *Ava and Toni start screaming and waving their hands again, but not in a fun way this time. Heyman drives his car away, not noticing who's coming down the slide, and they shoot past him* Toni: AVA!! TUCK YOUR HEAD IN AND COVER IT WITH YOUR HANDS, MATE! Ava: YOU TOO, TONI!! *They tuck their heads under their hands as the teacup keeps sliding. Because of this, they don't see Nia Jax walking down the street next to the wall, whistling and carrying groceries. But then Nia turns around, and sees the teacup coming* Nia: (dropping her groceries) OH, C**P!! *The teacup slams into Nia, pinning her against the wall, and then it finally comes to a halt* Toni: Oooh... me bleedin' head... Ava, go an' see if we've hit something soft, mate. Ava: (equally pained) Sure thing, Toni. *Ava takes off her seatbelt, and stagger-crawls out of the teacup, then finds Nia trapped behind it, groaning in pain, and trying to push it away from her. Nia then sees Ava, and her eyes narrow in incredulous rage* Ava: (frozen with shock) T-Toni? Toni: (crawling out of the teacup herself) Yeah? Ava: I've got good news and bad news. Toni: What's the good news, mate? Ava: We've hit something soft. Toni: Oh, good. An' the bad news? Ava: That something's Auntie Nia. *Cut to The Rock and Roman Reigns watching a phone video of a furious Nia running after Toni and Ava, screaming incoherently, carrying the teacup over her head and threatening to throw it at them* The Rock: Right, that's enough for now. (he puts the phone away) *Rock and Roman both get up to face a guilty, nervous, and untidy-looking Toni, Ava and British Bulldog. A fuming Nia stands behind them, bandages wrapped around her stomach* Rock: Ava. Young lady, what you and your friends did was highly dangerous, reckless, and thoroughly irresponsible. Roman: You could have hurt yourselves! You *definitely* hurt Nia! And you made Paul cry when he got back home! Rock: Yeah, thank you, Roman. *They both stand, staring impassively at the guilty parties for a few moments. And then...* Roman: On the other hand... (suddenly, they can't stay stoic any longer and they burst into helpless sniggering) It was *also* hilarious! *Ava confusedly watches her father and his cousin sink to their knees, laughing hysterically and slapping themselves. She glances at Toni, then at Bulldog, both of whom just shrug nervously, and then she turns to Nia* Nia: (trying to maintain an angry face) You know, thinking about it... (she suddenly gives up and starts laughing helplessly herself) They're right, that *was* hilarious! *And as the Irresistible Force doubles over in equal parts pain and cackling, Ava, Bulldog, and Toni all finally cave in and join them*
You should do it where if there’s someone who wins multiple rumbled they’re in the final rumble with multiple entrants. Since in history we’ve had many repeat winners.
I tried looking for 95,96,97 , i cant finds them to watch. We need our Rumbles. Heres something interesting, if you get WWE2K24 , would you do All Over Again, if by popular demand Rumbles 88,89,90,91,92,93,94 ???? Or especially if they Allow more than just 8 Wrestlers at a time ?? More realistic, PLUS Macho Man would truly have a fair shot at Winning , in a more Realistic RUMBLE with more in Ring Wrestlers. !!!!
I was interested to see what was going to happen if one or more of Mick Foley's characters survived until the next one entered, you should try this one again
Steve blackman became a bounty hunter after his time in the WWF ended. Idk if he still does that today, but he did for several years. and it was Skull who didn't enter. I guess he didn't compete due to injury.
Ricky matc mero reminds me if little richard remember him? Lol
I can go back and do 95-97!! Let me know in the comments. We did 94 a few months back. Should we go back?? You decide!!!
The older the better. Man, I hardly know all of them later dudes since end 90‘s 😁 stopped watching after the Montral screwjob.
Don't you dare skip those three Rumbles! Think of all the forgettable gimmick characters you're missing out on, like Mantaur and The Goon!
1995 royal rumble was the worst ever in terms of talent as a whole
You should 95 to 97
yes please go back. gotta do ‘em all. love this series
Mark Mero looks like Little Richard, Ricky J. 🤣🤣Thank you again for these old but great Rumbles. Please do the ones you skipped over. They're always entertaining with your commentary!
He was a Little Richard clone called Johnny B. Badd in WCW.
@@andyq524 exactly 💯.
Farooq eliminated at 35:00 the next 8 minutes and 48 seconds was the most epic one on one I have witnessed on RJ SPORTS great job Ricky!!!!
I like when you do each year. You could do 30 real rumbles and then do all the winners for the true king of the Rumble
Haha epic!!
Ricky I'm 57 yrs old...watch wrestling on a black n white TV when all u saw was just the ring .. attitude was the best era..
Jeff Jarrett was a lovechild of The Honky Tonk Man and Ric Flair.
yes he did the flair strut, he was Ric Flair's attitude with Curt Hennig's build.
Steve "Muhfuggin" Blackman actually makes his living as a bounty hunter these days.
The ending was epic. Chainz was acting like Kane in the 2001 Rumble. I had My Way by Limp Buzkit and Jim Ross in my head by the end of it
Kinda cool bc Blackman/Owen had a program around this time
Gold dust went right at Shamrock & they too had a program around this time
Awesome Rumble. Can't believe who won. I would like you to replay the 95-97 Rumbles also. Keep up the amazing job.
Marc Mero was Johnny B Badd and he looked like Little Richard.
Lol yes!!
By far the absolute greatest finale of all rumbles on this channel. The final 2 competitors have their own match 😃
The gimmick Royal Rumble would be a funny thing to watch, I mean it is a dumb match but it was a riot to watch.
I think Marc Mero reminds you of Little Richard because he reminds me of em 😂😂😂😂
Had a wee giggle at Foley being eliminated just in time for each of his personas to avoid meeting.
Yes, please do all of them. Even 94. I promise i will like every one of them. These are my favorite videos by far. Thank you very much Ricky.
Please do the 96 Royal Rumble. I was there, and it was the last one before the Attitude Era.
Haha wow
That was maybe the best final 2 ive ever seen out of all of these rumbles. Great stuff.
They need to start letting us download created game modes like this
I love the Rumble Videos Ricky, keep up the excellent work, I just wanted to say, I hear you saying how you try to make teams work together in these Rumbles and I don't know if you know but if you run them on Universe mode and set the teams up there making sure that they are set as allies also, they will work together by not hitting each other and making saves for each other, it can sometimes break down if they accidentally end up hitting each other but for the most part it works, you can just set up a Royal Rumble PLE for each Sunday on the calendar and change the arena if you want to have a specific one for a themed Rumble. Hope this helps.
Ricky J Sports- I remember watching 'WWF Royal Rumble 1998' with a friend of mine & his cousin.
Great times...
Awesome 👌 ❤
Bro I love your videos. I was dying talking about Honkey Tonk man. Calling him Honkey just killed me. I never called anyone honkey before but that's his name so it tickled me . Great content. I been watching your rumbles never realized I wasnt subscribed. I changed that. Good stuff brody.
Who the fuck is chains? Someone should give this guy a contract.
Kama Mustapha fell asleep on the tanning table 😂😂😂
Cool rumble loved that ending kept me on the edge of my seat like it was a real rumble keep up the good work 👍🏾
Hey Ricky great vid’s! I actually worked with WWE from 97 to 2002, still talk to a lot of the boys, anyways keep up the great work brother!
Wow dude why did u stop working there??
That was an epic final two match. "That's the bottom line because Stone Cold said so!"
Your channel is awesome! These are always entertaining.
I've watched a ton of these and that was the best final I've seen so far.
I was looking forward to 95-97 brother!
Don't worry I will do it!!
You put respect on Doink the Clowns Name! 😂😂😂
Ricky, Ahmed did hurt people. He hurt Ron Simmons and put him out for 9 months. There are multiple accounts of Ron returning and beating him down in the locker room.
Mark Henry did not like AJ either
D’Lo Brown beat him down in the locker room. Ron Simmons came back from injury and they mistakenly put him against Ahmed Johnson right away. Ron beat him down in a match at a house show. Apparently he kicked him as hard as he could and put Ahmed out for awhile and that killed his push. He was cut soon after and went to the WCW.
Also Animal had beef with him too. He stole a pair of his shoulder pads.
I suggested this to you months ago and you even told me it was a good idea. Super glad to hear you thought it up though.
Ricky J Sports- Great work--as always.
The Royal Rumble originally had wrestlers coming out every 2 minutes. Then they shortened it to 90 seconds. The only exception was the 40 man rumble with wrestlers coming out every 60 seconds.
Wow goo to know thanks man
That final 6 was actually a pretty good one, especially with the ending and the alliances between a couple of the guys. Played out well, I would say.
There was a lot of “trash” characters in this rumble. I didn’t remember a lot of them. Love the content!
Last I heard, Blackman was a sense of his own dojo.
21:14 the Disciples of Apocalypse:
Crush was also known as Brian Adams. Chainz was the fake Undertaker in his first WWF run and “Prime Time” Brian Lee in ECW. Skull and 8 Ball were Ron and Don Harris, later known as Gerald and Patrick as Creative Control in WCW.
New subscriber, great channel, love watching retro wrestling rumbles, have you thought of doing an ECW or WCW rumble?
I started secondary school in 97' and finished in 02' literally the whole of the attitude era. Its safe to say that i had an awesome childhood
I would have paid money to see this ending in person. That was Epic and one of the best rumbles yet!
I love how insane Foley was for instead of getting the rest of the night off, he goes back out. Twice lol!
I loved how the Mick Foleys were gone before the next one came in 😂😂
yeah he barely lasted all 3 times
He didn't last long in the business
Every time I saw Mark Mero, I'd think Little Richard. I think it's hair and pencil stache.
Art imitates life
What a great final two! Gotta tell ya I’m happy Stone Cold won, thanks for the video!
That was awesome!!!!! Literally cheering like it was real life haha
2001! That is my favorite Rumble. Would love to see that one on here.
Unreal video. Fitting that the rattlesnake is the first to replay the result lmao.
Great stuff. But gotta do 95-97 mate!
oh Chainz or Brian Lee. One of the strongest wrestlers who fun fact never lifted weights.
Primetime Brian Lee was a big mean fucker in ECW the days when it was extreme as it got days like his epic scaffolding match with idk how many tables stacked on top of each other lol
Haha! Loved it Ricky. Epic final 2.
11:11 Little Richard. That was basically his gimmick in WCW (even though his name Johnny B. Badd was a play on the Chuck Berry song Johnny B. Goode).
Was the character model for Kama Mustafa ever fixed in terms of the skin color, or, no?...
Also, what happened?...
Marc mero looks like little Richard
That was his gimmick. Johnny B. Bad
95-97! Yes please!
why did you skip Rumble 94, 95, 96, 97 ?
Good question
Good question would like to see them 2
He just really wanted to do this one, he'll probably go back at some point
I can go back np
I think this was the most requested after '93 rumble video
Truly epic. ! Best classic rumble yet !!!
Some of these Rumbles just have better aesthetics, and by Jovi, this is one of them! At 11:46 when The Rock clocked D'Lo Brown, and he was out cold for a full minute...Is going in my Hall of Fame!
Whoa. 95-97 first please
This rumble lives rent free in my head just because of how mick Foley and Terry Funk started off!
Yes! Go back and do '95-97'! I'm loving these rumbles.
Ricky, I remember when Ahmed Johnson got ko'd and as they put him in a stretcher, gold dust gave Him CPR but was actually kissing lips . pissed him off 🤣
Some of the eliminations and pair offs seemed realistic. Especially in this one. I can see this Rumble being a 'What if' .
About the rumbles being shorter. They experimented with rumble entrance times being shorter which would explain why some feel longer than others.
Having watched pretty much all of them, they definitely don't actually wait the whole 90 seconds for the next guy 😅.
STONE COLD, STONE COLD, STONE COLD !!!
Great rumble! Should do another fat guys rumble and name him Honky Ton Man! Also, I'm pretty sick today so i might be late for the livestream because i'm passed out.
I am feeling like crap too. Gonna rest when I get home. I hope u feel better poppa
Okay man noted!!
This was awesome!! I enjoyed the ending!😊😊
Faarooq beat up Ahmed Johnson during a wrestling match after Johnson lacerated Ron's liver. The story is on TH-cam
"You keep a knockin but you can't come in, WoOOOoOoo!" - Marc Mero
I have to say that was the most exciting royal rumble yet! The last 2 was like a top card of a wrestlemania!
Yea bro plz plz plz deeeeefinately dont skip any, otherwise whats this all been for haha, you gotta hit em all my man...but keep up the good work these are so awesome
I won't brother 😂❤
Attitude Era began in March 97 with Austin vs Brett at Mania.
What a match the ending was crazy. They just couldn't get enough punishment lol.
The Attitude Era began in March 1997
Agreed in my opinion it was the very first episode of RAW when the name was changed to RAW is WAR.
I was there as a 12 year old
It’s so weird that this was on my Home Screen. It’s even more weird that I stopped scrolling. And it’s just flat out crazy that I watched the whole thing for some reason. Lol.
That's amazing man!!!
Attitude Era was the best time in WWE history
Ricky great video your awesome
You're remembering that Marc Mero was Johnny B Badd in WCW parodying Little Richard

Roman: You could have hurt yourselves! You *definitely* hurt Nia! And you made Paul cry when he got back home!
Rock: Yeah, thank you, Roman.
*They both stand, staring impassively at the guilty parties for a few moments. And then...*
Roman: On the other hand... (suddenly, they can't stay stoic any longer and they burst into helpless sniggering) It was *also* hilarious!
*Ava confusedly watches her father and his cousin sink to their knees, laughing hysterically and slapping themselves. She glances at Toni, then at Bulldog, both of whom just shrug nervously, and then she turns to Nia*
Nia: (trying to maintain an angry face) You know, thinking about it... (she suddenly gives up and starts laughing helplessly herself) They're right, that *was* hilarious!
*And as the Irresistible Force doubles over in equal parts pain and cackling, Ava, Bulldog, and Toni all finally cave in and join them*
Like see 1999 royal rumble
You should do it where if there’s someone who wins multiple rumbled they’re in the final rumble with multiple entrants. Since in history we’ve had many repeat winners.
Good call
I tried looking for 95,96,97 , i cant finds them to watch. We need our Rumbles. Heres something interesting, if you get WWE2K24 , would you do All Over Again, if by popular demand Rumbles 88,89,90,91,92,93,94 ???? Or especially if they Allow more than just 8 Wrestlers at a time ?? More realistic, PLUS Macho Man would truly have a fair shot at Winning , in a more Realistic RUMBLE with more in Ring Wrestlers. !!!!
95 today!!

I was interested to see what was going to happen if one or more of Mick Foley's characters survived until the next one entered, you should try this one again
Bad day. Blew a gasket on my car. Thanks for making this day not totally suck, Captain.
Shamrock was a pro wrestler in the 80's. He knew what he was doing.
Steve blackman became a bounty hunter after his time in the WWF ended. Idk if he still does that today, but he did for several years. and it was Skull who didn't enter. I guess he didn't compete due to injury.
Mero reminds you of Little Richard. It was really played up as part of his WCW gimmick of Johnny B. Badd.
