- The 1990 Royal Rumble was another classic with Hogan and Warrior meeting in the middle midway through the rumble. It was an epic segway into Wrestlemania 6. In this video we replay the entire rumble with the exact same guys. Lets see if Hogan can win it again!

Dude u r a legend. Tjx for these great creations
@@RickyJSports our pleasure brother! Thank you
I was expecting R-Truth to appear as a random entrant and go "I'm in the wrong time period? My bad!".
Lol. ...huh, this ain't 2024?... So u telling me those are all 90s guys in there..
🤣🤣🤣🤣
😂😂😂
Only with R-Truth could that have worked 😂
And then an equally-anachronistic Nia Jax would throw him out... and then be thrown out herself, because no-one would know what she was doing there.
The parrot's name was Frankie. Andre and Million Dollar Man were called The Mega Bucks.
1992 gets all the flowers, but 1990 is my favorite Royal Rumble.
Snap
This Rumble started the feud between Hogan and Warrior. One of the best matches of my childhood!! Enjoy and more to come!
Can you do a Royal rumble full of small people
The parrots name was Frankie!
in regards to the "one man gang question"......Im from South Mississippi, I was a Hulkamaniac.......Anyways, My dad took me to The Biloxi Coliseum in the late 80's, The only big name wrestler that showed up was Hakeem..... The whole crowd jeered and booed him! I was no fan either..... turns out all the wrestlers hated Biloxi and that famous wrestling commentator dude said he was stabbed by a 70 yo man at the coliseum. So, even though i thought one man gang was cooler....Hakeem will always have a place in my heart for being the only star willing to come down and entertain us.... Not like terry
Those were the days, brother
Hey Ricky j I'm a big fan of your channel and and all of your content. I love what you been doing with the WWE Royal rumbles lately. As a suggestion could you do a Royal rumble with all of Undertaker's WrestleMania opponents.
Now because he only has 27 wrestlemania matches with some of them being repeat opponents I'm thinking you can have three different versions of triple h come out, two different versions of Shawn Michaels and two versions of Kane.
Undertaker should come out as number one but because it's a 30 man Royal rumble with 27 WrestleMania opponents we can include three different versions of undertaker within the Royal rumble lol classic mortician undertaker, big evil undertaker and my favorite phenom undertaker.
Tell me what your thoughts I had a great time thinking of this idea and hopefully I trust you to put it to good use. Keep up the good work, love ya bro and stay safe.
I like the health bars. It's an easy way to keep track of who's in the ring and the number of wrestlers in the ring.
I was surprised at the accuracy of
Million dollar man lasting as long as he did, just like the real one.
The 1990 Rumble holds a special memory with me. I was ten years old at the time, and it was the first pay-per-view my parents bought for my brother and me. We were blown away.
Amazing stuff man love reading about those stories
First PPVs will do that! Mine was Survivor Series 1990 and is my favorite. :)
My Mount Rushmore is Sting, Van Vader, Barry Windham, and The Great Muta.
Franky was the Bird. My mount Rushmore. Mr. Perfect Undertaker,Bret Hart, Andre The Giant
The Powers of Pain and Road Warriors had a very nice feud. Worth looking up.
Powers of Pain broke up in 1990. LOD joined in 1991

WHAT A PERFORMANCE BY THE MDMTD!!!! That's up there!!
Absolutely loving these rumbles mate keep them coming! Watching this one at night in the bath relaxing after a long day at Disneyland Paris now this is what you call relaxing 👌🤣
Hahaha well said. Well I am so glad u r liking these. U made my day!!
@@RickyJSports best way to end the day after a great but tiring day in Disneyland! Cant wait for the next rumble matey! Have a great day ✌️
Fantastic! I happen to be watching this on my last night in Disney World! Flight home is in four hours… yikes!

Ricky J, your Macho Man is so spot on. It's so good that I might start an Internet conspiracy theory that Randy Poffo is still alive and he now goes by the name Ricky J.
I would like to see Macho Man try a Ricky J impression, R.I.P. Macho!!
Haha I am going to surprise you with a youtube short maybe today lol
@@RickyJSports LMK
Ricky J Sports- You're correct as far as what you said around 19:28-19:36 about Ted DiBiase, Sr. & André The Giant.
They were known as The Mega-Bucks.
Easy for me to remember because at 'WWF Summerslam 1988', the main-event was called "The Mega-Bucks VS. The Mega-Powers", or, vice-versa.
Marty had substance abuse issues , injuries and a contract dispute. He was supposed to fight HBK at the next mania , but it never happened.
My Mt. Rushmore is: Hulk Hogan, Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Undertaker, Bret “The Hitman” Hart.
"It would've been nice for someone else to win"
That's not gonna work for me brotha. - Hogan
This is the first I've heard of this.
Higan was right though. WM V was considered a bust and knowing he was losing at WM VI, he wanted the fans to think he was unbeatable and buy Wrestlemania not knowing who would win.
My Mount Rushmore of favorite wrestlers is Shawn Michaels, Trish Stratus, Rob Van Dam, and Ricky Steamboat.
I can't tell you how excited I am that you are doing these. Royal Rumble is my favorite event, and seeing these played on the video game is awesome. Thank you so much Ricky.
This was absolutely fantastic man,I threw the previous 2 in my watch later and cant wait to check them out.....I sincerely hope you do one for every Rumble,Ill happily watch every one 😁😁......seriously well done bro
We will brother much love
Lol. I know you hate when teammates fight but do you remember when Ax and Smash actually started out number 1 or 2? They got it on until number 3 came down and I respect that. Because the whole point of the Rumble is it's every man for himself. And you have to live the One Man Gang. The Akeem character was just funny. Gang was an actual threat and a big name. I love these Rumbles bro
The incentive for the Rumble started in 93. The Rumble match in 92 and 2016 were for the Championship
35:46 "That doesn't work for me brother" *gets back in the ring and eliminates Hercules*
Love the nostalgia bro. Your enthusiastic vids always give me a lift
Watching this is a lot more exciting than the actual thing. So much more action! Hogan shows more technical wrestling in this rumble than he did during his whole real life career 😉
I love how in both your 1989 and 1990 videos the actual winners end up being the final outs. 1989 was even crazier with it actually coming down to the real final two. These are fun videos!
Thx man off to 1991!!!
Ricky, my friend, if you’re wondering what happened to Marty Janetty after he split from HBK, check out his episode of Dark Side of the Ring. It will tell you everything you need to know.
But it’s really sad, just a heads-up.
It's sad my brother real sad
Reliving my childhood lol can’t believe this was around the same time as the real ninja turtle movie
Lol nice reference haha
Ricky J Sports- I like how the later WWE games like this one, for example include the old arenas.
Good stuff...
This was made by someone
Hey Ricky, I LOVE these classic rumbles. So much fun 😁
Powers of Pain feuded with the Road Warriors in the NWA. They were scheduled to have a series of Scaffold matches where the LOD would win & instead of having those matches the Powers of Pain went to the WWF!
I remember the L.O.D. against the Warlord and Barbarian when they were in the WWF. I also do remember when they were in NWA wrestling they had the bench press challenge. Warlord and Barbarian were losing the challenge and they attacked the Warriors. That's when they rammed Animals head into the weights and broke his eye socket. Then Animal had the mask for a while. Thank you Ricky J for these classic matches. Fantastic job and commentary. 👏
I miss those days man so much. My pleasure brother
@@RickyJSports exactly. I'm 50 years old and just can't get into todays wrestling at all. Would much rather watch the old school from AWA, NWA/WCW, Texas wrestling with the Von Ericks, Gentlemen Chris Adams, ect, and WWF up until Stone Cold, Taker, Angle, and Rock of the early 2000's. Again Ricky J, we truly enjoy and appreciate all the videos you upload. Hopefully you'll continue the season uploads at sme point. Stay safe and God bless you and yours. 💯
Powers of Pain did wrestle the Road Warriors a number of times. Just not in WWF. They were in the 1980's. Their matches are on TH-cam
These are awesome thank you for doing these
This was fun. Thanks man
90’s was my era
So I absolutely love seeing these guys😊
thanks dude!!!!!!!!!
Hogan, stone cold, cena, and Brock. Is the Mount Rushmore of wwe.
My mount Rushmore... Andre, undertaker, Kane, the fiend..
I'm so glad you are continuing the redo rumbles
My Rushmore is
Sting

Último (Mask Japanese wrestler in WCW)
Jushin Thunder Liger

Love the nostalgia. If you want to avoid duplicates you could always throw “wild card” entrants in place of previous winners. Great video!
Sure cool idea
Mr Perfect is gonna win the 1990 Royal Rumble
"That doesn't work for me brother" - Hulk Hogan

I'm from TO too 🤘 Born at Women's College Hospital in '82. Saw Undertaker put Yokozuna into a casket during the Heart Attack Tour at The Gardens. Was also where Owen threw in the towel on Bret during his match with Bob Backlund. So good. MT RUSHMORE: Macho Man, The Undertaker, Mick Foley, The Rock (Honourable Mentions: Bret Hart/Owen Hart/Shawn Michaels)
Another classic match revisited 😂 Awesome 😂
My Mount Rushmore
Bruno, Andre, Hogan, Flair
These vids are bringing back memories
Thank you for mentioning that I called out the Powers of Pain for ripping of The Road Warriors or as you called them the LOD.The Powers of Pain Warlord & Barbarian feuded with the Road Warriors in the NWA and Jim Crockett Promotions in the 80’s.
6:35 I like those tag teams too. Cool that you remember the Killer Bees. Road Warriors (L.OD.) were my favorite
Vince in 1990 on RR Day: Hey Curt, are you ready for your big Moment Tonight?
Hogan: That doesn´t work for me, Brother.
Hahaha so true
At the risk of sounding pedantic, Hercules was still a babyface at the 90 rumble & hadn't yet teamed up with Paul Roma.
I got long side burns and my hair slicked back. I’m coming to your town in my Pink Cadillac I’m just a Honky Tonk Man Chorus: He’s The Honky Tonk Man, I’m just a Honky Tonk Man Chorus: He’s a Honky Tonk Man, I’m just a Honky Tonk Man I’m cool I’m Cocky I’m Bad. LOL!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I don’t know the words either Ricky. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
haha, Randy Savage is my all time fave too. I still remember when he joined WWF and was wearing a Hulk Who? shirt.
There's a comedian named Dan Soder that does the greatest impression of Savage.
Maybe you remember Jason Sensation, he's funny too.
He was the best rip
My Mt Rushmore
Sting
The Great Muta
RVD
Stunning / Stone Cold Steve Austin
Since we share a love of all things Macho, allow me to share some of the connections Macho Man AND The Genius have with my home state. Angelo Poffo was the owner and first major attraction of an "outlaw," promotion in Kentucky, which was Jerry Lawler's territory. Most outlaws never got a big break in established companies, but the owners of Memphis Wrestling were so impressed with the Poffos they allowed them to come in their promotion in an invasion angle.
Also, Angelo Poffo broke the Guinness record for the most sit-ups. He did 6,033 in 4 hours and 10 minutes while he was in the Navy. 6,000 to break the record and 33 for every year Jesus walked the Earth.
This is awesome 👏🏼 👏🏼 👏🏼!!!! I do this all the time as well. I don’t think you really need to remove the power bars.
In 1987 in the NWA the Road Warriors Hawk and Animal fought the Powers of Pain Warlord and Barbarian
I love the all pinked out Hitman. I think every wrestler should have 3-4 outfits. Btw Jannetty had a bad drug and alcohol problem. They brought him back a few times. He was at his best when he was with Shawn. These were the best days of the WWF. My favorite wrestler is the Undertaker BTW. I think I'd go visit Taker's grave as well. Probably shed a tear as well ❤️🩹. Don't feel bad about having emotions. These guys were a huge part of our childhoods
I grew up in Memphis Tennessee, back in the 80's alot of famous wrestlers got their start there in USWA,Jerry Lawler was the most famous, but a tall red haired guy with a buzz cut showed up named Mean Mark, you know him better as The Undertaker
Ricky i think you should name the move Brett did in the corner the Rooster Booster. Has a good 80:s feel to it.
Hulk Hogan, "that doesn't work for me brother".
Dude the 93 rumble was literally my entrance into the world of professional wrestling. If you can recreate that one I'll forever be grateful!
coming this week brother!
Ricky is why I have been telling you to do a NO HUD rumble, to make it look more like an actual wrestling event.
I love how you make any excuse you can to do Macho Man voice in every video 😂😂😂
Met Ted Dibiase and Jake the Snake on a hotel elevator in Duluth, Minnesota. Highlight of my young life lol
DiBiase lasting from 1 to 26 is amazing. And Martel was a beast
My mount rush more, is Sting,Bret Hart,The Road Dogg, and Stone Cold Steve Austin!! Those are my all time favorites!! SCOTTY 2 HOTTY, JEFF HARDY, EDGE,DESIEL, JOHN CENA, AND UNDERTAKER!! THESE ARE MY TOP TEN AND MY ALL TIME FAVORITES
Ricky J Sports- What Marvel movie was this song around 36:34-36:48 from & how were you able to do that particular effect that we see in the beginning of the Marvel movies with all of the comic book pages covering each other?...
My Mount Rushmore of WWE/F is "Rowdy" Roddy Piper, Rey Mysterio, Edge and The Honky Tonk Man
I think that wierd running DDT thing Brett did before Axe came in would be known later as Spike Dudley's Dudley Dog.
Don't Know about a Mt Rushmore, but Undertaker & Kane were always favorites of mine, and while not the individuals so much, but D-X as a unit were always entertaining. As a World of Darkness player, I used to be mad at Gangrel's gimmick, because in WoD, the Gangrel were wild savage hillbilly/barbarian vampires, and he felt more like a Toreadore, with his pouffy pirate shirts and blood wine, but any reference to an RPG is good in my book, plus he was a minion of the Undertaker and gave us Edge.
My personal Mount Rushmore: Savage, Perfect, DiBiase, Rude.
Honorable mention: Powers of Pain, Rick Martel, Sherri Martel
Road Warriors did feud with Powers of Pain outside of the wwf.
When lod signed with wwf, they asked vince to break up them. As they didn't want to feud with them again.
Gotta replay the 2008 Rumble along with some current ones.
Ricky J, I’m loving these historic rumbles. However, there’s nothing like when you participate. It keeps the audience rooting for you. Maybe you can do a rumble against your most loved or hated celebrities, athletes, etc.
What's up, Ricky J?❓️❔️I think that you should replay the 2021, 2022, and 2023 Royal Rumbles🤔👊👍
I will for sure man
Ricky J Sports- What WWE game was this that you're playing?...
Also, was this old 'WWF Royal Rumble' arena already unlocked, or, did you have to unlock this arena & the old-school roster by doing something in story mode, or, was it D.L.C.?...
That was a good random rumble. Hercules wins! The original was a great final, I was going for the Ultimate Warrior. In your version it was the Warrior as well. As for my mount Rushmore. I liked the good guys (baby faces). Back in the day (classic WWF) for me it was Hulk, Warrior, Bret Hart (when a good guy) & JYD. As for the bad guys (heels). Mr. Perfect, Randy Macho Man, Rowdy Roddy Piper, Rick The Model Martel. When time started to change for many wrestlers changing from heroes to heels or vice versa, then I started liking both.
You brought up favorite tag teams (baby faces) for me it would be; 5 tag teams The British Bulldogs, The Rockers, Smokin' Guns, The Islanders (when they were good guys) Hart Foundation (when they were good guys). As for the bad guy tag teams, The Rujogh (misspelled) Brothers, Barbarian and Warlord, The Bolshivics, Money Inc. (Ted Dibiase and I.R.S.)
Well said about paying respects to Macho Man. I would love to visit his resting place too.
Better ending than the original. Loved it 👍🏻
The powers of Pain wrestled the road Warriors in the 80s
Nobody got a title shot, but it setup WrestleMania VI. Hogan needed to look invincible to sell aura that against the Warrior, which made his win more triumphant.
What a rumble! My Mount Rushmore would be Brett Hart, Curt Henning, Undertaker, and Stone Cold. I remember watching this rumble as a kid.
Macho didn't last long in the 1990 Royal Rumble because if memory serves me correctly he wanted to get Jake the snake. I think it was a lil bit after the snake bite he took to the arm on WWF Saturday Night.
No, Jake hadn't turned Heel yet in early 90. He turned Heel on Warrior during the summer of 91.
You are right, Jesse’s commentary during the Hogan Warrior piece was epic!
You could Hulk-Up with his comeback, it was one of the two abilities you could have on characters
You were definitely a very WWE/WWF focused Wrestling fan when you was young. I was total into WCW/NWA. The Horsemen, Sting, Ron Simmons and all the mean Russians. Windhams, Rhodes even dudes like Eddie Gilbert and Tommy Rich...that was my time.
May a god idea for a Rumble. WCW and WWF Wrestlers or something like that.
My Mt Rushmore of wrestling is Steve Austin for changing the heel/face dynamics, The Rock for his promos and unbridled charisma, Triple H for his smarts and knowledge of the business, and Sting for being an Icon no matter where he is. Oh and theres also R-Truth who took a selfie in front of the monument making it look like he is also apart of it.
Excellent Royal Rumble 💪🏻Macho Man was always my favorite wrestler as well 😀
Frankie was the name of Kokos Bird 🐦
The Road Warriors faced the Powers of Pain during their time in the NWA. You should check out the bench press🏋♂️ contest those four had.
Ted DiBiase and Andre the Giant Mega Bucks 💰
Hulk Hogan wanted to win 🏆 the Rumble most likely to build himself up for the Ultimate Challenge 🤔 Mr. Perfect should have won in my opinion!!!
Macho Man Randy Savage was the total package. He was one of the top charismatic and athletic performers all time.
He was involved in several of the most incredible matches in the sport's ("sports entertainment") history.
to name a few favorites:
Steamboat WM3
Warrior WM7
Flair WM8
Hogan WM5
DiBiase WM4
Honky Tonk Man on SNME
Incredible and Memorable entrance including appearance, attire, music, Elizabeth, attitude.
One of the best public speakers in the business.
Crowd pleasing with anticipation for his amazing finishing move that would get everyone on their feet as soon as his approach to climb the turnbuckles began.
Unfortunately, Savage had many demons, which he carried them throughout his fame and success.
A few of his biggest problems and you can search for details on the next lines:
He was a huge asshole in real life.
He was extremely paranoid, and very unpleasant to interact with.
He was violent and abusive.
His attitude after a few years in the industry, for lack of a better term, "sucked"
His career was incredibly stellar and the MM goes down as one of the greatest.
But he could have been even better if he could have gotten a handle on his demons.
Now, ALLEGEDLY,
At a WWF house show (not recorded for TV, just a house show) at "THE AUD" (Buffalo Memorial Auditorium) in Buffalo, NY in the late 1980's.
Macho Man was walking to the ring for his match with the Ultimate Warrior for the IC Belt.
Back in those days, the aisle barriers to the ring were narrow compared to today, but,
if the wrestler stayed in the center of the aisle barriers, they could not be reached/touched by fans.
If the wrestler walked towards the aisle barriers, then the fans could easily reach out for a high five, or a pat on the performers back as they walked by etc.)
** To note, a lot of off duty Buffalo Police officers worked security as a second job at (THE AUD) events (Hockey, Concerts, anything).
While walking to the ring for his match with Warrior, MM moved over to one side of the aisle barriers to interact with WWF fans.
As expected, the nearby excited fans, KIDS/CHILDREN in this story, not grown men, KIDS (who probably just wanted to touch MM, share an amazing moment) gave the MM hugs, pats, and cheers.
MM apparently did not like this particular interaction, and without warning of his desire for all contact (which he initiated) to stop, he (MM) aggressively withdrew.
While pulling back from these youngsters, MM used his force including a hard punch to the body of one fan, and he ceased his engagement.
MM proceeded to the ring and completed his match with Warrior, and then returned to the back stage area.
Sometime after the altercation, several of the off-duty Buffalo PD officers working security (who witnessed events just described) approached Savage in a hallway area of the arena backstage.
They informed Savage that the person he punched was a 7-year-old boy, a little kid.
Off duty officers told MM the child was having trouble breathing after being punched in the chest and was taken via ambulance to Children's Hospital. They additionally, with aggravation, told Randy the kid was screaming "I'm sorry Macho Man please, I'm sorry Macho Man" and while stretchered his panicked/stunned father said "everything was fine then all of a sudden he was screaming for Daddy".
Savage in a low tone voice responded he was being attacked and that he feared for his safety and life and that he had no way to tell who was who in the dark arena and his actions were only self-defense stating he was "being grabbed aggressively and choked to suffocation."
The off-duty officers informed MM they were just several feet away from him during his entrance and saw his interactions with the young fans.
They advised Savage that at no time before, during or after did he (MM) show any physical duress, nor give any verbal indication or complaint he was being harmed or had been harmed.
Multiple times, the off-duty officers attempted to educate Savage that all persons HE INSTIGATED engaging with were clearly kids and young teenagers, and the child HE injured was hugging his mid-section area, not his neck area.
They asked him (MM) to explain more of his side as to why he would blindly punch into a crowd of children.
Savage, just repeated he was attacked and defended himself. At no time, did he (MM) show any remorse or concern for the child injured by his punch.
THE MM stood by his self-defense claims, children attacked him violently, he defended himself.
No official records of this horrific event exist.
The parents of the child injured declined to press charges, so no arrest of Randy "Macho Man" Savage took place.
I was a huge fan of Savage, even when he was a "bad guy" or Heel.
When this occurred, I was still very young.
Years later, and to this day, after hearing this story from multiple persons who witnessed this, I am no longer a fan of Randy "Macho Man" Savage.
So, snap into that.

Honestly this is the best channel on TH-cam. Hulk Hogan, The ultimate Warrior, the British bulldog and Rowdy Piper
dude you just made my night i really appreciate you!!
I was a One Man Gang fan. PS I like the health bars. It's nice to see the names when you have guys in the ring I don't know.
My Mt Rushmore of favorites over the years: Mr Perfect, Chris Jericho, Shawn Michael's, and either CM Punk or Big Poppa Pump Scott Steiner. I liked the trash talkers, I guess. 😂
Bad News Brown was a legit tough dude. He was a black belt in judo, won an Olympic bronze medal in 1976 and challenged Andre the Giant to a fight that he did not accept.
My Mount Rushmore of wrestling is:
Rob Van Dam
Eddie Guerrero
Booker T
Chris Benoit
I grew up is a kid in the ‘80s and absolutely loved Ted DiBiase & Roddy Piper. They were my favorites. I always backed the bad guys, because they were more entertaining. In the ‘90s wrestling got better and started liking some new style of wrestling. Razor Ramón was one of the 1st I liked, but as wrestling kept evolving the guys on my Mount Rushmore came in and just won me over. In the 2000s we saw them at their greatest. To me these are the most complete wrestlers ever. It’s tough to just limit at 4, but those are my 4. Steve Austin, The Rock, The Undertaker, Mike Awesome, Randy Savage, Owen Hart, Bret Hart, Jerry Lynn, Rey Mysterio & Kurt Angle are others I would put near the top. These guys were entertaining and skilled. I miss watching them.
Not watched this yet but enjoyed others can't wait for 96
