OMG...that shot of martin short mugging for the camera is classic.
Love Dana Carvey
kirk is one of my heroes!!!!
Best voice impression ever
not bad but not a patch on frank gorshin and his Kirk Douglas / Burt Lancaster, check him out m8
Fantastic tale.
Note how Kevin Kostner laughs and smiles when Dana says he "threw up" when his agent told him he had the role with Kirk Douglas and Burt Lancaster. Even though it was a comic exaggeration, that line resonated with Kevin because he too worked with some legendary actors in his early days and was likely nervous about whether he was "good enough." Also, note Marty Short beaming at Dana Carvey telling his story. Marty and Dana were friends and had known each other for a long time, but here Marty was admiring and enjoying his friend's great storytelling.
"Keep your stance wide and stay low" should have been the name of one of Kirk Douglass books, but "The Ragmans Son" would do just fine.
lol !
I love that movie. I found this clip checking to see if it's available on dvd. It seems not to be. Why?
on amazon prime rental for $1.99
A great movie
Should've gotten Phil Hartman to do his Kirk impression. Top-notch.
I clicked on this thinking it was a skit from The Dana Carvey Show.
