Totally agree! Rhe lack of AAA Star Trek games currently is puzzling. The franchise is hugley popular at the minute. Supposedly we have Star Trek Resurgence Releasing tommorow, although we have very few gameplay videos which is concerning. Hopefully we'll get a Star Trek Picard/Strange New Worlds/Lower Decks games in the near future.
0:36 The only way that could possibly be true is if there's a substantial difference between how it plays on PC vs the XBox 360. I say this because I remember playing it all the way through and I still want those hours of my life back. The main issue, I feel, with playing this game by yourself is that it's meant to be two player. So when you play by yourself, your partner is controlled by the game and the game is a drunken fool. You ever play any of the Batman Arkham games? You know how you have to be stealthy a decent portion of the time? Now imagine playing as Kirk, where both you and Spock have to sneak around the level past all sorts of baddies, except Spock is programmed to be Leeroy Jenkins.
Haha! I see. That would be problematic. From the sounds of it, it makes you wonder if that's why they made a co op game with a human as the AI isn't up to much.
IIRC, the game started as a co-op game with two human players being the intended way to play. The single-player "AI controls the partner" was (I believe) an afterthought, so it makes sense that it's janky as hell. I remember this being the first X-360 game I bought for myself. Looking back the plot was kinda meh and the gameplay was really only fun if you had a player 2. I did however really like the graphics and set design, and I remember spending hours on one player mode combing through levels looking for every single tricorder reading to get that sweet sweet lore. (I'm one of those gamers who has to touch every single interactive thing before advancing the plot)
Cool! I'm like that with a few games, just not all. Did you ever get all of the trophies? I find they can motivate you to complete every single side quest. It's awesome that it came out on the Xbox 360 and PS3. I never remember seeing it in the shops though.
13:28 And that right there is the beginning of how this game frustrated me on my playthrough. Just wait till you have to do something like climb into a vent. The game will prompt you "press X to climb up/give Spock a boost". But does it say a damned thing about "unlock the vent hatch" which you have to do first? Hell no!
3:28 I hate on this game for the gameplay, but credit where it's due, they put a fair amount of effort in the game's story. And yes, those are indeed the movie actors voicing the characters

When you said star trek game... I was thinking of the late 80's early 90's Star trek 25th anniversary. Maybe I'm old.
This was actually a pretty cool title, just wish we could get another AAA single player trek title like this, sadly we keep getting STO...

This is a Cop game which means you got a play this game with a friend, trust me its so much more fun that way.
It should of been klingons as the enemy so it could stick to canon but kelvin isn’t canon
