Oh, PS love that you mention weather. My Late Father was in the Air Force for 23 yrs and he was meteorologist. So truly enjoy looking and hearing about the weather. I only watch the news for the weather.
You really do make this look so easy to do. You have some really nice pieces my friend. It is going to be great to see the final cleaned up pieces. I will most likely be there for that post bud.
When my daughter was 8, she was so into rocks i thought for sure she would become a geologist. I bought her a rock tumbler and she tumbled her favorite rocks. She was devasted when they no longer were big, cried that I ruined all of her favorite rocks. She was mad at me for months. Never touched that rock tumbler again...They are looking good.
Its ASTOUNDING how much the temp can fluctuate up there. The thing I liked about central MN over the cities was having only one thaw (mud) period a year. I love spring but winter's end is messy! The rest of the winter seemed to stay white & clean & pretty.
Element of surprise as I haven't seen rocks before. I liked to do that and whatever it turned out was the final tumble and then in a coffee table turn any sharper edges down then pour urethane over and let harden. Then bust the sides and bottom off and mount legs to the dullest side.... run buffer over for effect and they sold. Got the rocks at the beach with the kids. They each had a table or what ever they decided.
You have probably answered this before but I couldn't find anything. I was wondering where you go when you leave the farm and go south and how long of a drive is it? I was also wondering what your second channel is so I can check it out. I love watching you at the farm and at the camp as well. You must be a very active guy to stay so thin with all that great food I see you and Melissa cooking. Thank you for sharing.
I go back to the hobby farm house. Those videos are on the Joe and Zach Survival channel. Thank you. Make sure you also subscribe to Melissa's new channel that has the how to cooking videos. Here is the link. th-cam.com/channels/B1Q5RfyT5HK9uIliNtXotw.html
If I may ask Joe what do you do with the rocks when your done? Fish tank? They are beautiful as always. Great job. Sincerely Michelle Pup Harley and Kitty Liam Arlington Massachusetts.
Thank you Michelle. I have a video I posted about a year ago that is just about "what I do with the rocks" Please look that video up, it will answer all your questions I hope.
1st thing I can think of when I see the finished rocks is that they would look good in an aquarium full of plants and tropical fish. And where do you get the rocks?
I am always looking. I do many jobs during the summer and many people have the river rock as landscape rock. I am always combing through and finding rocks for polishing.
I was short-sighted in any negative remarks about your rock hounding/polishing vids. You saved me from wall-to-wall nuclear talk for well the length of this video. You’re a thoughtful man, Joe.
She has 2 more filmed right now that I will edit and get uploaded when I get up there this weekend. We have a couple meals planned to cook and film (she does) this weekend also. Stay tuned and thank you.
NorthernSeclusion Yea! Glad to hear she is more comfortable with the camera! We’re really not a bad group once you get to know us! The ones that aren’t are weeded out quickly! Welcome Melissa!
Can't fault you there@@NorthernSeclusion. I was never all that impressed with TXP (aluminum oxide). I had some cerium oxide given to me by an old rockhound and never used anything else ever again.
Joe, What is going on with all the videos? I never seen so much from you in such a short period of time. Are you OCDing it? Don't get me wrong. I am thrilled to watch all that you do. Maybe its a winter time thing.
Lots of stuff to video right now and I want to see if this is a feasible source of income. Can a person make money making videos? I am most happy making them. Lol. Mainly just a ton of stuff happening and it all has to be told for the story to continue. Thanks Patti.
If it is "not their thing" they think it should not be put up on the channel even though it is not their channel. Lol. If I look at the analytics on a long term basis the rock polishing videos are watched over and over for years to come.
@@NorthernSeclusion It's not that they don't think they "should" be put up it's just voicing their opinion. They don't like/enjoy them. Do you think everyone is as enamored as you are with rocks? I didn't thumbs down it but these are my least favorite video's of yours.
@@NorthernSeclusion A rock tumbling video is how I found this channel. I'm not even really into it, I was just surfing recommendations and ended up down a rock tumbling rabbit hole.
@@justcallmeoz7523 There is no need to downvote though. The subject is plainly stated in the title and for gosh sake, it's a 6 minute video update for people who ARE interested. I know you said you didn't thumbs down, but why don't people just use their free will and choose to skip over?
Thank you Russell. I can not haul them in to The Tent during the winter trip anyway (I may take a couple of the other ones you sent) because I need to pack lite. Once I can drive in this spring I can start bringing stuff like that up.
Well, you knew EXACTLY what the video was about before you clicked on it. It is not like I try and lure people in with false advertising.. Maybe you should have skipped this one.
Love polished rocks..thanks for sharing!
Great video I am still following I can’t wait to see what they look like. Have a great day.

The rocks look great. Finished product will look beautiful I'm sure.

Looking smooth lol love it👍😊...
Looking forward to the results!

Poor baby! I’m glad she finally forgave you! Obviously she didn’t understand the process! We mother’s just don’t get it right sometimes! Lol!
Been there, done that, similar experience...
thanks for the upload
Hi New subscribers here! My hubby Douglas got me HOOKED on your channel.
Thank you. Plenty of more videos to come. Stay tuned.
Those are pretty rocks.
Thanks Joe! 👍👍👍💯💯💯

I noticed on new ceramic media that the ends were kind of sharp. Makes me wonder if they scratch during the polishing stage.
No they do not. Rock is harder.
In geology we would take some smooth rock and spray them with clear Krylon clear Acrylic spray and they looked like they had been polished for hours.
Can we see your collection one of these days?
I got a rock tumbler for Christmas 2018, cheap Harbor freight JUNK motor burned up on step 2 of the first run.
I’m glad you said that because I’m definitely looking for one and I seen that one too. I may hold out on getting it!

We have some beautiful pebble beaches in Scotland, you could likely have a great day.
They would look nice in a little vase with water so they look even shinier.
I never heard of polishing rocks. Where did you get the rocks to begin with? Really cool
I am always looking down at the rocks. After awhile you figure out where a good place might be.
@@NorthernSeclusion are they just like regular rocks that you finger in the woods or gravel by a river?
Warning ⚠️ Global Tumbling !!

Como faço pra compra uma máquina dessa de polir
Você pode comprá-los online. Não tenho certeza se você pode no seu país.
I keep telling you, try cerium oxide for polish. You'll be amazed how well it performs. It's also cheaper than "rock polish".
The stuff I have I bought maybe 4 years ago and until I need to order more I may as well use what I have.
