A bunch of little things often becomes a lot of work. And you fix something and find many others to do too. Look forward to part 2. Be safe and stay well.

This is a very nice solid 1947 Ford. I have a 48 Super Deluxe with 57,000 original miles. If the tanks are ok, the radiator is rebuildable. New cores are available. You may be able to quiet the generator with a little oil. There is a spring loaded oil cover on the top front of the generator. If you are renewing the brakes, I would consider a front disc brake conversion. The car will stop much better, which is an issue with 77 year old technology. There are conversion kits available that dont require grinding or torch artistry. Nice car there.

My first car was a Plymouth Business Coupeville. It was a barn find. Big dreams; little money and it went to the next dreamer. Great to see one in such great condition!

Master cylinder: Millworks Hot Rods & Supply makes an extended MC adapter that sets the MC back and down. Didn't have to cut the brace. Worked great for my '47 Tudor Super Deluxe.

That’s a nice ride! And it purrs. A good flathead runs so smooth.
The puller i bought from snap-on was less than $200 if i recall. Its designed to be beat on.
Dialing out all the free play in the front end will make it drive nice.

I'm in a similar situation as my '46 Ford flatty has well of 300 thousand miles on it and has sat for quite a while. What solvent did you use to flush the engine of oil sludge? Great video and hope to see how the '47 turns out.

Isn't that pen tapered in the crank handle? Looks like it will drive like new.
