Initially my grandfather owned a Ford V8 in the late 50's - thereafter my father changed the model with a Ford Superdelux in the early 60's - a wonderful car.
Late 40s/ early 50s stuff is always going to be way cool. My mom's 51 Chevy 3100 is definitely a window into what used to be the American standard for a vehicle.
It's funny that you uploaded this updated review this week. Last week I watched your old video from 9 years ago before committing to buy a '47. Picking it up on Sunday.
Such beautiful sound with the new exhaust setup, I like the sound from inside the cabin especially sounds very cool, i love these old fords this example is very good looking and owned by the right guy for sure, ive always loved the way the tudors looked
I think this is the coolest car you have Kyle - the history with your Pop as well. It’s all the car you ever need - easy to repair, unhackable, beautiful. This reminds me of the Jay Leno’s Garage episode on his Plymouth Suburban. GREAT episode.
You have a very nice 48 Ford. Amazing original condition. I have an original condition 48 Super Deluxe Fordor in Ford maroon. Your windshield washers are an extremely rare option. You have an original Philco radio. Mine is a dealer installed Motorola, installed when the car was purchased. I am amazed that you still appear to have the fiber panels in the trunk, one over each fender well. These tended to absorb moisture and deteriorate. Your car is so nice I feel out of place making suggestions, except to suggest considering a Pertronix electronic ignition kit for the distributor. My car was purchased new by my grandparents from a rural Ford dealer where you could also buy Ford tractors. Your car is really a gem.
We still have it, only it hasn't been touched in a long time. I have a youtube live I'm doing in a couple of hours (10am eastern) and I'll talk about what the plans are for it.

The last ford body style henry Ford would witness while he was alive. Hell of a nice car!
I've been longing for an updated review of the 1948 Ford and all I can say is, it's well worth the wait!

Couldn't agree more! Thank you so much for watching!!
nice to see cars for the common man in this era. tired of seeing only vintage luxury vehicles on youtube.
Nice classic car Kyle.
Interesting how similar the usability, size, and space reminds me of our 2003 Ford Explorer. Cars had so many diverse body styles in this day.
Stunning
Do a video on the mercury grand marquis
the Mercury Grand Marquis was sold a while back

Nice, I wish I could learn more about that if I was into cars more than trains although I’m into trains more. Nice video anyway though Saabkyle04 🙂👍🏻
Just watched the one you did 10 years ago. thought I'd check up and see if you still had the girl. Nice.
Really well done video!

93 octane is fully wasted on these....79 octane was about the best you could get regularly in 1948, and even the best premium fuel was only 85 octane
First
Yao I’m first
Nice classic car Kyle.
