Dps builds tips for when playing solo. Dta and DTTOOC are not great and a waste of attributes. Going for pure crit will be betting choice. 2 reasons, 1. Not every npcs have armor. And you will be losing some damage against other enemy archetypes. 2.. Npcs are often in cover, so most of the time your dttooc is another waste. Tho I do not recommend using dps on solo, and even on group. Skill builds are simply much better in every category. Skill build have damage, tankiness and distraction. With health skills have and distraction they do, gives you 10× more survivability than dps. In heroic, dps build is hard to use, npcs will do way more dmg to you before you can do to them. Leaving you need of constant healing and losing damage of damage which you could done by then with skills. Better to use skill builds to not risk yourself. In legendary dps builds are like restricted to use. Npcs will do devastating damage to you whenever you start hitting them, leaving you in low health for 70% of the time. Skills are the answer for this difficulty. Use skills and rarely shoot at enemies. This one is bit of rant. In The Division 2 having npcs doing insane damage simply makes some of the builds in this game not effective. For example tank builds, they lack damage but are still more effective than dps. I used tank build in leg. and I got downed like 2-4 times. But with dps I will get downed 6 times (because I was trying to do as much damage as possible with dps. Now with skill builds, I only get downed for 1-2 times or never at all. That's how much survivability skill builds have. Now before tu10 dps were viable since cc builds were good then. But in tu10 dev. nerfed cc builds, especially on legendary. Since there is no more cc builds. It means dps are useful either. 2 things dev. can do. 1. Nerf npc damage drastically. Reds dmg decreased by 50%. Purples dmg dec. by 40%. Elites dmg dec. by 25% Nameds dmg dec. by 25% (except raid bosses). 2. Slightly buff status effects for PvE only, not to thier value they had before tu10. But still more after the nerf. And removing status effect resistance to npcs on every difficulty, Named can have 50% resistance.
I think brand set gives higher rolls because of percent. But either is cool. When I plan on getting a backpack or vest with a perfect talent, I’ll grind the brand set definitely though

When you're farming chest or backpack high ends, do you think it's more efficient to target the slot or the brand?

Brand makes more sense given it's a pool of 6 pieces. If you target the specific piece you have at least 20 brands give or take including named sets.
Most players prefer to go for Brand over the slot because there is a smaller loot pool for the drops, hope that helps!

I can survive in heroic just with 1.2 mil armor
I mainly play heroic with 0 Armour cores which give a base armour of 726k, don't need armour if there's nothing alive to shoot back haha
