You know, one thing that has always frustrated me with The Division and The Division 2, is that I felt often, the game did not explain certain things. Back in my day, you turned a game on, played it, and the icons, and places on a the map, just made sense. Thank YOU, for making this video. This video answerd so many questions for me...I had just gone into world 2 and then hopped into a buddies world 1 game to do roosevelt island...when we finished, he hit world 2, and then I hit world 3...completely on accident😢...i had to go and craft all new upgraded gear for myself to compete...now I know what direction for me and my friends to go into. Fantastic video. I finished the main campaign last fall but my internet connection is so bad I took a break from the game before getting into the Endgame content. This is an amazing refresher and also tipped me on a few features I didn't know about :)

I'm late to the party here, but I just got the standard edition for Series X and am absolutely loving it. Thanks for all your hard work on these guides! Quick question, are the "episodes" that were released post launch all included in the game now? I understand the Warlords of NY is a paid expansion, but I was curious about the episodes and how they fit into the original game
Hey, thanks hope the guides have been helpful! Yeah, the Year 1 Episodes are all in-game for everyone for free, they added 5 new missions to the game at new locations and an investigation area/game-mode called Kenly College. The episodes continued the story so I believe they unlock as you play through. Hope that helps!
It's not to bad solo currently, I play heroic content with 3/4 directives(modifiers) turn on solo with little problems, the only things that really require groups in a good time for the Legendary missions and the raids. But if you're just looking for more of a social experience there's always loads of people looking for groups or recruiting for clans in the Official Division 2 Discord.

I have been told by people in the game, that you can't reach level 40 or be competitive without having the War Lord Of New Expansion ? Is that true ? If it's your first time playing through the game I would recommend it, it adds to the story and does a great job of introducing the Black Tusk. specializations and how the invasions work. Hope that helps and welcome to the channel!
@@ThatAbrax Well, a group of friends en I just put like 60 hours into this game en this series was very helpfull getting us started and help anwser some questions we had along the way.
The problem I have always had with this game and the reason why I have re downloaded and delete right after is just how easily I get shredded by every enemy and how tanky most of the enemy's are
It can take some getting use to, specially if you've played The Division 1 where character could take a lot more damage. I find it's to do with positioning and making sure to use cover and time when to do damage and when to wait it out, specially when your first starting out with the game.
But I never got world tiers, as soon as I was lvl 30 and finished the campaign on DC I headed straight away for Warlords, when I came back from Warlords and was lvl 40 I couldn't find world tiers on the global settings, except the Normal-Hard-Challenging-Heroic. And so my loot is stuck on lvl 40 instead of score 200 for example. P.S All strongholds were captured and it didn't required me to lvl up my gear, or even after the stronghold capture, it didn't changed the world tier by it self, as it should be.
Hey i have a few questions if you don't mind answering! (Solo Player) 1)I'm level 18, stopped playing about half a year back and got distracted. Do you think i should continue or make a new agent and start fresh? 2) From level 1 to 30, progressing through those levels. You get different gear from time to time, do you keep the ones you like even though its low in gear level or just dismantle them? To add on, do you just keep changing the types of gear you get as you get better ones? Even though it may not be the ones you like? Sorry for these lengthy questions. Cheers
Hey! Q1: It's very much up to you but a lot has changed over the games life including the 'New Player experience and how gear works with the Gear 2.0 re-work so I'd probably recommend it. Q2: As you're levelling through the game it's best to just equip the better/ higher levelled item until you get to the endgame, whether that's World Tier 5 or if you get the Expansion, level 40. Gear and weapons will come and go pretty quick so the best thing to do is deconstruct them until you max out your crafting materials then start selling. The only things worth keeping are any Exotics(Red Gear) you pick up, normal gear and weapons can't have it's levels increased but Exotics can! Don't worry about keeping gear or making builds until you get to your max level but do use the levelling to experiment with different talents and gear brands! I hope that made sense and helps! lol

Completed main game and finished tidal basin for first time I’m now WT5 with gear score 495. I have not done any of the other missions yet. like camp white oak, Coney Island, kenly college, zoo & pentagon or 8 Classified Assignments What is the best order to do them all in, before I move onto NYC Expansion. Sorry for the late reply I have been away for a few days. The classified missions can be played at any time with them being their own contained little mission but for the others, I'd play them in the order they released which is: Episode 1 - Camp White Oak, Manning National Zoo & Kenly College(Kenly is more of a side event than story). Episode 2 - The Pentagon, in the order 'The Pentagon' then 'DARPA Research labs' Episode 3 - Cony Island, in the order 'Amusement Park' then 'Ball park'. Hope this helped, If you have any more questions feel free to ask!
I want to play The Division 2 but the cover movement feels like trash, your character will take cover on the wrong side, you can't get out of cover with a single button press (I have to mash it it get him to move out of cover) and if you try to press a movement key while exiting cover you get forced back into cover. Makes it nearly impossible to play.
Ah sorry about that! You unlock the 3 Darkzones by playing through the story, at a certain point you'll get an introductory mission for each DZ that will let you enter each Darkzone completely on your own(Only this time) to explore them and complete a few objectives, after that you will have access to the full PvPvE version of the DZs. Hope that helps!

After a little bit of research it looks like to unlock the DZ you need to: * Reach Level 10, and * Upgrade the Theater base to level 3. * You'll then get a DZ mission at the BoO. One thing you could mention is that you can unlock the DZ checkpoints by entering and then immediately exiting the DZ -- you don't actually need to do any DZ missions! I was able to enter and exit the East DZ to unlock those checkpoints and do the same for the South DZ. The West DZ is still locked so I guess I'll need to pay more attention to the story /mission(s) for that one. I'll probably roll a new character, use a spare level 30 boost, and see what happens in that case. Thanks again for the extra info. I guess the TL:DR; is _Just play the game and do all the missions. You'll eventually unlock everything._ :-)

Hey, yeah everything in this video is available for people who on Warlords of New York(WoNY) too, plus more, after you've finished the expansion you don't have to manually level up Control Points you can just change the open world difficulty and even add Directives(modifiers) to mix things up a bit, There's also The Summit games mode I mention at the end of the video, Legendary missions which are really tough and all of the missions that come with WoNY. Hope that answers your question!
So, can we come to the endgame AFTER wrapping up the contents of Warlords of New York? Or do we ascend to T5 and then complete specializations and then go to NY? I am assuming it's the former since the former gives XP boost right? Please let know!
Soo basically, just throw any old gear and weapons on at level 30 as they become useless because of the new level 40 ? Also, pointless making builds till after you complete the expansion, am i right ?

No problem glad it was useful! I wouldn't say it's a mistake, there is a little story introducing the Black Tusk faction with the World Tiers but nothing you couldn't re-do with another character if you felt like it.

Great content man! So clear and concise. But I have a question So I went from level 4-8 in a few hours. When do I begin to get better weapons? I have so far level 8 things but they seem so weak in comparisons. For the main campaign, does any thing high end drop, or will I have to wait for the endgame for the good stuff?
The quality and attributes of the weapons you pick up will increase as your characters level does, you will notice you'll start to get better weapons but they build up more towards the endgame. Hope that helps!
Just a comment on the specialization. When i completed the campaign. I was only able to unlock the grenade launcher specialization. The other 5 I needed to complete. Am I missing something?
When you finish the campaign you should be able to switch between 3 of the specializations, the Demolitionist(Grenade Launcher) the Sharpshooter(Tac 50 sniper) and the Survivalist(Crossbow), you can switch between these 3 at anytime, the others all need to be unlocked by doing their 'Field Research' which is a set of tasks you need to complete. You can find the Field Research by highlighting one of the other specializations and pressing the button at for 'Field Research'. Hope this helps, if you have any more questions feel free to ask!
Hey! Do you mean the way the damage numbers appear next to the weapon? You can find that setting --> UI --> Scrolling Combat Text. I version you see in the video is 'Floating' I find it gives you the best sight with the clearest numbers. Hope that helps!
Normally you'd play through the World Tiers before Warlords with them setting up more of the story but if you own the Warlords expansion you can boost your character at any point to start Warlords but it's worth remember when you start the expansion and travel to Lower Manhattan you can't return to DC until you've finished the Warlords story missions. Hope that helps!
I think I just answered this in a comment in another video but I'll post the reply here too :-) 'Nope, you can get exotics to drop at any level if you're lucky enough but they will drop at your current level so you will have to Reconfigure them when you are at a max level.'
So informative. I played and beat the story when it first came out. I beat all missions on normal but didn't do any end game content. My gear score is only like 240. I want to get back into this game and experience all dlc. So in order for me to play dlc updates I need to be world tier 5? I raise that by playing missions on hard and getting better gear?
Thanks, I'm glad you've found the video helpful! If you pick up the Warlords of New York expansion you get a 'character boost' that will boost your character to the point were you can jump straight into the Warlords expansion and story. So you can either grind and gear your character up yourself or if you just want to jump into the new story you can use the boost. Hope that helps!
Ah! You've jumped over the World Tiers, it sounds odd... and is odd, but the levelling goes levels 1 to 30, then world tier 1 to 5, then level 31 to 40, so 40 is max level. In the standard game it's still there but with the Warlords of New York expansion you go up to level 40 and there is no gear score or world tier systems after that, just trying to get better rolls and optimized gear.
Where it shows where you have a gear score of 498 mine shows I have a SHD score of 52. How do I get to where Ican see my gear score? Sorry I'm confused and thank you for this video and help. Subbed.
Hey, The levelling in The Division 2 can be a bit odd, your actually past the point of gear score counting anymore! When you play through the Division 2 you go from level 1 to 30 then into the Gear Score, Once you start the Warlords of New York campaign you leave the Gear Score system behind and start levelling from level 31 up to 40, then on to the SHD levels which is an infinite levelling system will bonus attributes up to SHD 1000, all gear and weapons you find while your in the SHD levels will be level 40. Hope that makes sense and helps!

If it's your first time playing through the game I would recommend it, it adds to the story and does a great job of introducing the Black Tusk. specializations and how the invasions work.

The problem I have always had with this game and the reason why I have re downloaded and delete right after is just how easily I get shredded by every enemy and how tanky most of the enemy's are
It can take some getting use to, specially if you've played The Division 1 where character could take a lot more damage.
I find it's to do with positioning and making sure to use cover and time when to do damage and when to wait it out, specially when your first starting out with the game.
Just bought the game Caine wait to get into it
But I never got world tiers, as soon as I was lvl 30 and finished the campaign on DC I headed straight away for Warlords, when I came back from Warlords and was lvl 40 I couldn't find world tiers on the global settings, except the Normal-Hard-Challenging-Heroic. And so my loot is stuck on lvl 40 instead of score 200 for example.
P.S All strongholds were captured and it didn't required me to lvl up my gear, or even after the stronghold capture, it didn't changed the world tier by it self, as it should be.

Hey i have a few questions if you don't mind answering! (Solo Player)
1)I'm level 18, stopped playing about half a year back and got distracted. Do you think i should continue or make a new agent and start fresh?
2) From level 1 to 30, progressing through those levels. You get different gear from time to time, do you keep the ones you like even though its low in gear level or just dismantle them? To add on, do you just keep changing the types of gear you get as you get better ones? Even though it may not be the ones you like?

Q1: It's very much up to you but a lot has changed over the games life including the 'New Player experience and how gear works with the Gear 2.0 re-work so I'd probably recommend it.
Q2: As you're levelling through the game it's best to just equip the better/ higher levelled item until you get to the endgame, whether that's World Tier 5 or if you get the Expansion, level 40.
Gear and weapons will come and go pretty quick so the best thing to do is deconstruct them until you max out your crafting materials then start selling. The only things worth keeping are any Exotics(Red Gear) you pick up, normal gear and weapons can't have it's levels increased but Exotics can!
Don't worry about keeping gear or making builds until you get to your max level but do use the levelling to experiment with different talents and gear brands!

Completed main game and finished tidal basin for first time I’m now WT5 with gear score 495.
I have not done any of the other missions yet. like camp white oak, Coney Island, kenly college, zoo & pentagon or 8 Classified Assignments
What is the best order to do them all in, before I move onto NYC Expansion.

Sorry for the late reply I have been away for a few days.
The classified missions can be played at any time with them being their own contained little mission but for the others, I'd play them in the order they released which is:
Episode 1 - Camp White Oak, Manning National Zoo & Kenly College(Kenly is more of a side event than story).
Episode 2 - The Pentagon, in the order 'The Pentagon' then 'DARPA Research labs'
Episode 3 - Cony Island, in the order 'Amusement Park' then 'Ball park'.

I want to play The Division 2 but the cover movement feels like trash, your character will take cover on the wrong side, you can't get out of cover with a single button press (I have to mash it it get him to move out of cover) and if you try to press a movement key while exiting cover you get forced back into cover. Makes it nearly impossible to play.

@14:17 You didn't explain how to unlock the Dark Zone checkpoint doors (Go to the main door.)
Ah sorry about that! You unlock the 3 Darkzones by playing through the story, at a certain point you'll get an introductory mission for each DZ that will let you enter each Darkzone completely on your own(Only this time) to explore them and complete a few objectives, after that you will have access to the full PvPvE version of the DZs.

@@ThatAbrax Thanks for the extra info. After a little bit of research it looks like to unlock the DZ you need to:
* Reach Level 10, and
* Upgrade the Theater base to level 3.
* You'll then get a DZ mission at the BoO.
One thing you could mention is that you can unlock the DZ checkpoints by entering and then immediately exiting the DZ -- you don't actually need to do any DZ missions!
I was able to enter and exit the East DZ to unlock those checkpoints and do the same for the South DZ. The West DZ is still locked so I guess I'll need to pay more attention to the story /mission(s) for that one.
I'll probably roll a new character, use a spare level 30 boost, and see what happens in that case.

Hey, yeah everything in this video is available for people who on Warlords of New York(WoNY) too, plus more, after you've finished the expansion you don't have to manually level up Control Points you can just change the open world difficulty and even add Directives(modifiers) to mix things up a bit, There's also The Summit games mode I mention at the end of the video, Legendary missions which are really tough and all of the missions that come with WoNY.

So, can we come to the endgame AFTER wrapping up the contents of Warlords of New York? Or do we ascend to T5 and then complete specializations and then go to NY? I am assuming it's the former since the former gives XP boost right? Please let know!
Soo basically, just throw any old gear and weapons on at level 30 as they become useless because of the new level 40 ? Also, pointless making builds till after you complete the expansion, am i right ?

I wouldn't say it's a mistake, there is a little story introducing the Black Tusk faction with the World Tiers but nothing you couldn't re-do with another character if you felt like it.

But I have a question
So I went from level 4-8 in a few hours. When do I begin to get better weapons? I have so far level 8 things but they seem so weak in comparisons. For the main campaign, does any thing high end drop, or will I have to wait for the endgame for the good stuff?
The quality and attributes of the weapons you pick up will increase as your characters level does, you will notice you'll start to get better weapons but they build up more towards the endgame.

Just a comment on the specialization. When i completed the campaign. I was only able to unlock the grenade launcher specialization. The other 5 I needed to complete. Am I missing something?
When you finish the campaign you should be able to switch between 3 of the specializations, the Demolitionist(Grenade Launcher) the Sharpshooter(Tac 50 sniper) and the Survivalist(Crossbow), you can switch between these 3 at anytime, the others all need to be unlocked by doing their 'Field Research' which is a set of tasks you need to complete.
You can find the Field Research by highlighting one of the other specializations and pressing the button at for 'Field Research'.

Do you mean the way the damage numbers appear next to the weapon?
You can find that setting --> UI --> Scrolling Combat Text.
I version you see in the video is 'Floating' I find it gives you the best sight with the clearest numbers.

As new player can I complete main story mission to level 30 skip gear score and go to warlords of New York
Normally you'd play through the World Tiers before Warlords with them setting up more of the story but if you own the Warlords expansion you can boost your character at any point to start Warlords but it's worth remember when you start the expansion and travel to Lower Manhattan you can't return to DC until you've finished the Warlords story missions.

'Nope, you can get exotics to drop at any level if you're lucky enough but they will drop at your current level so you will have to Reconfigure them when you are at a max level.'

The disc shaped light is a new soft levelling system you unlock after finishing the Warlords of New York expansion
The game crash to often to reach endgame, on PC...
So informative. I played and beat the story when it first came out. I beat all missions on normal but didn't do any end game content. My gear score is only like 240.
I want to get back into this game and experience all dlc. So in order for me to play dlc updates I need to be world tier 5? I raise that by playing missions on hard and getting better gear?

If you pick up the Warlords of New York expansion you get a 'character boost' that will boost your character to the point were you can jump straight into the Warlords expansion and story.
So you can either grind and gear your character up yourself or if you just want to jump into the new story you can use the boost.

Ah! You've jumped over the World Tiers, it sounds odd... and is odd, but the levelling goes levels 1 to 30, then world tier 1 to 5, then level 31 to 40, so 40 is max level.

they removed gear score and world tier system right?
In the standard game it's still there but with the Warlords of New York expansion you go up to level 40 and there is no gear score or world tier systems after that, just trying to get better rolls and optimized gear.
Where it shows where you have a gear score of 498 mine shows I have a SHD score of 52. How do I get to where Ican see my gear score? Sorry I'm confused and thank you for this video and help. Subbed.
Hey, The levelling in The Division 2 can be a bit odd, your actually past the point of gear score counting anymore!
When you play through the Division 2 you go from level 1 to 30 then into the Gear Score, Once you start the Warlords of New York campaign you leave the Gear Score system behind and start levelling from level 31 up to 40, then on to the SHD levels which is an infinite levelling system will bonus attributes up to SHD 1000, all gear and weapons you find while your in the SHD levels will be level 40.
