I'm still so very sorry. Apparently, I still don't know how to edit. This is such a great A'a flow. Just mute the video between 9:05 and 10:30
ApauHawaiiTours Not your fault! Thank you for putting the video back up :) This footage is incredible and its value should not be diminished by the foul language.
That language was sulphurous.
No problem. A'a happens.
Is the zoom an app?
Question. Does Sirens999 have your permission to repost your videos under his name and channel.
This has got to be the BEST of ALL the lava-flow videos I have seen. I feel very saddened that people have lost their homes, and i cannot imagine how devastating this is for them. That being said, getting to see a slow-moving flow up so close is riveting. Thank you for sharing. Prayers for all affected by this.
I was so captivated by that piece of lava on what would be the right edge of the screen. Even though it has that rough texture on the top, it was cool how it was flattening out like it was. I kept watching the leaves/flowers lying on the road in the middle and how they were almost completely covered by the end. Another good indicator of how much it had advanced in almost 20 minutes. As far as potty mouth, I don't like listening to people who are that way. Thank you for being respectful enough to your audience to call it out & to let people know where to mute it if they don't want to hear it either. Great video!
Absolutely riveting. The sound it makes! Another great video full of breath-holding suspense!
Scott, you are doing an AWESOME job .... until I can get there at least I'm getting to see all the wonders along with you, Mahalo !!
Better than News Channels!
Very cool videos. Nothing is the same from one shot to the next. I’m sorry for the loss of homes. I’m also fascinated by the power and beauty of such a destructive force. We don’t see lava in Utah!
You are correct. We do have some old flows, especially east of Cedar City on the Dixie NF. Very incredible stuff. Fortunately, none of it red hot and creeping like a dragon.......yet,
wow, nice &shared. The piece pushing along the wires is almost like a alligator shape... Thanks Again!!
I love your videos about this because you're a resident there so you could give the real news and not the media fear monger us on the mainland.
Scott, you are quite a gentleman. Thank you for these videos and being respectful. God bless and be safe.
I have spent hours watching your videos but this is the best one so far...love to hear your excitement and amazement, lol. And yes, still enjoy the ramblings. Stay safe and keep the videos coming!
I have been glued to watching your feeds. I don’t care if it’s zoomed in or not. You are far and above the most informative for curious minds.
By the way, my previous pastime was sitting in my 1999 truck listening to it rust. Lol
The sounds of the lava are the sounds of new earth. I love it and thank you.
This is one of my favorite videos. Based on the amazing sound it makes seems a'a lava could have been called "scritch scritch" or "clink clink" lava. Fascinating!
It was awesome to actually see the lava moving this is why I like your videos thank you
I find myself wanting to watch these A'a lava vids again occasionally because they are just so fascinating the way they move!
I have so much enjoyed all your videos, not to mention how much I have learned from them, you and when you run into people with some knowledge! Thank you, thank you Scott for what you capture.
It is so sad, but at the same time so amazing!!!
I love the clinking sound. It is awesome to watch this lava move!
Yes it is!
Amazing video you are the best tell of this stuff cool video, you should win a award for your great filming of this historic event
Scott, great video. I'm now obsessed with the volcano because of you! Saw a few on 999siren and when you suggested going back to watch from the beginning, I found your channel. Very interesting to see the dog house house and the pig house from the start. Keep up the good work!
The passion you guys have for this is inspiring. It's rare to see someone with that much passion anymore. Never stop! Thank you for sharing this with us.
Oh wow, I could watch ur videos for hours! Amazing stuff!!
The points you focus on and clarify for us are phenomenal. I keep watching for updates on all channels but find you are the best at showing and describing what's going on.
Fantastic footage, Its hard to imagine the energy and power
Wow. When it was going over the taller grasses near the beginning I could see the blades bending. The closeup of the lines on the street moving was awesome. You are not the only one who could watch all day.
Putting the camera on the groud did give us a really great view of the movement of the lava! Do more!!!
I really have enjoyed your footage from Texas, keep up the good work.
I love this Scott! I wish you could stay there all day and film it advancing. I know it isn't practical, but it is AMAZING! Thanks!
Incredible!! I can never thank you enough for taking us on these wonderful adventures with you. Watching the lava advance is captivating in it's own way,but watching all the different aspects of the lava, the fissures and the cinder cones are truly an unexplainable experience. As you have said many times, there is just no way to describe it. At times it all just seems unworldly. I can't wait for our next outing
Yes. I could watch it all day. Scott, just take a chair with you, sit down and watch.
This could be an educational video to study the movement of lava. Thank you for pointing out the details. Don't think I will ever get tired of seeing this. Your excitement makes watching these exciting for me to watch too!
Thanks for watching!
Keep up the good work.. real people..real stuff going on..
Slow as a snail yet unstoppable. Thanks again. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings.
Scott, you think it's shakier than it really is. The footage is perfect!!!!!
It’s such a shame that the other guy can’t keep his mouth clean. That’s what I like about your videos you keep it clean and it’s a pleasure. The video has to be 1 of your best watching the lava actually move forward. Super amazing Scott. Could you live steam it because I could watch it all day and night. I know you can’t but I wish
That rock on the right looks like an outline of a mouth with fire coming out of it. I gasped when that big rock moved. Awesome stuff thank you!!
Ive watched all of your videos and check multiple times a day for updates - I’ve become a bit obsessed! Thank you for sharing them with all of us :) Also where has Bill been?
Jenny Q
, Great Question! Scott from ApauHawaiiTours replied to a recent comment not too long ago on a past video stating...
"Bill is good...we just haven't crossed paths lately."
Hope that helped out and that is the latest update on Bill that I have received by Mr. Scott.
Thank You for your comment and your support by watching Scott on his TH-cam Channel ApauHawaiiTours!
The tour's you give are fantastic very educational thank you for these fantastic field trips
Your awesome Scott! You can’t fix people unfortunately! We know you keep it clean. Love your videos. Keep them coming but above all, please stay safe!
I learn something new each time you post!! Thank you fo r your time. Be safe.
I'm back watching the 3 A'a videos again. They are just so fascinating, how the walls of lava advance. I'm glad that you took the time to go down there at 3 different times so we could see how the flows changed and moved over time. Well done Scott! I feel I learned a lot from these 3 videos.
One of my favorites with the sound of the lava chimes and the lava reptile. I have followed you since the beginning and and continue to enjoy your videos
Wow, thank you!
Mr Scott,
Every since I have discovered your videos, I have been hooked. I can tell you're a good tour guide because you do an amazing job at describing what is happening in all your videos (incluyding provviding street names so we can look it up on the 2011 StreeView to see the difference).
If I ever travel to Hawaii, I want you as my tour guide !
And you provide enough videos (especially when returning to same spot) fpr us to see how things change over time, something media types can't do in 30 second reports.
Kepp up the amazing job.
@4:35 the big boulder falls and I rock back in my chair. Being there with you is almost like being there with you. The lava flows you caught in this is crazy. That thingy lava flow on the right of the camera looks like a giant fire breathing lava monster. Wow!
Congratulations on reaching 35k views. I have been here from the beginning and I am so happy that these awesome videos of the history of this volcano is reaching so many people💕
Life With Duchenne I wonder if Scott cares more about the amount of “Views” he receives or watching his neighborhood get swallowed up by molten rock...?.
Dane Ta’A Tu’A’TonkA I am happy that history is being recorded and I am not black hearted enough to not think about how many bad things have come out of this as well. I have been here from day 1,his first post and I know he has said he doesn't care about views nor do I. I am simply happy more people are able to view
Really liked the close-up of the lava creeping forward in the grass because you could see it advancing as the grass blades were slowly being pushed down.
Very cool. 😎
You should have one of those laser temp guns, that you just point at the lava. That is soooo cool to see it moving ever so slow. It sounds like glass breaking. I wouldnt worry too much about the guys language. Not an issue for most I dont think. We all know and appreciate thats not a norm for your videos. Take care and BE SAFE!!
Thank you so much for these videos. I love your enthusiasm and knowledge of the flows. Can I come with you on one of your trips? Like next weekend?
This is really a fantastic video. Loved watching it advance and hearing the sounds of the lava scraping on the pavement. If you find anything like this again I hope you will video it. I could watch this all day long.
I appreciate your concern for the potty mouth words in your fabulous videos. You are seeing the same thing he is and not using potty words. Thank you!
I had to watch this one again, the sound is incredible. It reminds me of the rock mamma monster on Star Trek that could make tunnels like moving through air. .. or someone shoveling a bunch of broken plates. Miss seeing you kiss the lava with your phone.
Definitely not getting bored. Feel free to make the videos longer too.
It's amazing how much the area on the right changed in the short time we were here!
Amazing! Never boring!!! Thanks Scott!!!
Watching here in Pittsburgh,Pa . So very mesmerizing.....hypnotic. Do appreciate your risk in taking these films and sharing.
Yes, the potty mouth guy ruins it................Be safe. A-lo-haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
Not boring at all! I love your videos because you make it seem as though I am right there.
I wasn’t ready for this to end. Fascinating and scary at the same time.
Glad to see more folks are discovering your videos!
Great video! Thanks for staying so long with the flow.......very interesting!
More amazing film! To see & hear it is crazy, I can't even imagine the heat?
Be careful and thanks for doing this Scott! Can't imagine people have ever scene this and can't believe this isn't on TV. Thoughts are with you guys from Canada
Ahhhh, pause this video at 14:30 where Scott says “oh, look at that”. Does anyone else see the evil eyed face to the right. Looks amazing!
My thought exactly. It's somehow appropriate.
I am not certain if it is an evil face, or just a copy of the look my cat gives me when I tell him to get out of my chair!
Awesome video, I could watch this all day! This site would make for a good time lapse video.
Inexorable is the word that comes to mind. This was amazing. The stick looking like it was getting inhaled but was actually the whole wall overtaking it. Just awesome. I just read that once lava goes 'a'a, it never goes back to pahoehoe. But I was still thinking Oh! he heard fountaining, is the pahoehoe going to start coming over the top? This was exciting.
I love the shapes...and it sounds like breaking glass (which, of course, it is!). Thank you so much for sharing!!
Great footage, especially the boulder moving forward in the grass! Amazing how much it has advanced from earlier in the day when you were in the "U-shape" of it all. You should get a big bonus from the tour guide people you work for. So many people watching and all your time you spent and you always mentioned them(and have their name on your channel. You "sound" like you'd be a great tour guide with your knowledge and your politeness, etc. I too hate when people have to use the "F" word so much. I can't share their videos on Facebook to all my friends because of that, and it could be a really good video. Glad you try to keep yours clean.
Aa lava is considered the "fast" type.
This is the second time I have watched this clip and the lava flow to the far right still looks like a dragon to me.. or a diabolical alligator. Watch out it doesn't bite you Scott.
It seems so alive!!! I'm just amazed. Thank you so much!
Neretaire Amenhotep I
Honestly the f bomb can’t wreck this amazing event. Don’t give a silly word so much power in the presence of the ultimate power LAVA 💞🌟
Its amazing thank you for all the videos keeping us updated.. please stay safe and continue to provide us with these amazing videos
I watched this on HD Full Screen. Your closeups are really over the top. The best! If we only had smell-o-vision. Mahalo!
The ground-level zoom of the lava pulling the telephone cable in was really cool!
Aloha Scott. Watching your vids from last night. Great footage as always. Thanks for taking us along. Have you thought about getting a small, bright headlight you can wear on your wrist while you film at night? I find a headlight is helpful for night filming because of versatility and they usually have different settings or are adjustable. Just an idea! Mahalo!
I have no idea why this is so interesting to watch!
I could watch this for hours.
Awesome! Yes I saw it moving. Tell him to shut it! Thanks Scott. Your doing a great job. We don't have stuff like this in Minnesota.
This is incredible i love your videos
So wild! Thanks Scott! Amazing video!
This was amazing watching!
Oh wow, the right side looks like a dragon head with fire in its eyes and mouth. WILD looking.
Lisa Osborne What time stamp Lisa? At 2:49 it looks like an Alligator head
Risking your lives for our pure amazment. Thank you
Don't forget to take stills
Also, your too hard on yourself, friend. Your footage is excellent. You are giving people all over the world a chance to have a close up view of something they would otherwise never see in their lives. I'm sure the educational value for people now, and in the future, cannot be overstated. On top of all of that, you obviously have a beautiful soul and your narration is entertaining. So don't worry if you leave the zoom on longer than you meant to, or if a shot here or there is a smidge shakey. And don't worry about the potty mouth. If it really bothers you, I'm sure you could find somebody who can bleep it for you. We're all just grateful you're sharing this with us
It’s mesmerizing. I could see someone watching in fascination as they are surrounded and consumed.
Part on the right looks like a crocodile with flames coming from it's mouth. Cool.
It does!
it's always taking the path of least resistance but it still pushes on everything else too, wow, just wow
So awesome that words almost can't describe it!
Thank you for the wonderful way you have of teaching us about lava. If things were too technical it would go over my head but this I can retain.
I can't wait to wow my friends with my new found knowledge on what has happened on the Big Island and Lelanai Estates.
Habe watched again, its fascinating . Thanks Scott👌🏼
Amazing footage! Please stay safe!
Great vid! leave it up!!
Great footage Scott. Keep filming keep safe.
There's a lot to see in this spot. Very happy you kept rolling! BTW, there are sticks all around you ;-)
Yeah, we poked one in and, even in the red hot stuff is was solid as a rock. Not what I expected.
Very good video ha I didn't get tired of anything I love volcanoes and lava flows it makes me active and looking for more of it
Man, as fascinating as this is. I hope it ends soon. Clean up is going to be a lengthy process as it is.
You can never have too much coffee ☕☕ lol
No Worries, some people are vulgar and stupid, no reflection on you Scott. Thanks again for giving us an up front view of Madam Pele in action!
Great documentation! Interesting. Thank you.
Really enjoy watching your vids from 2018 again.
Love your videos Scott. I did Earth Science at Uni and if not for a disability I wanted to be a Volcanologist.
Absolutely fascinating. I can't stop watching!!!
When the solid lava falls it sounds very porous and lightweight. Is it as light and fragile as it sounds?
It's a great record of events you are making; by the way. Keep it up and let's hope it won't be a lifetime project.
But; if it does turn out to be a lifetime project, make sure it's a very long one.
And; don't be so easily offended by the swearing. It's a great stress reliever.
There are many teachers using these videos for kids. That's what I'm most concerned about.
Touche! Scot. I consider myself suitably chastised.
This a'a flow is interesting -- I thought that most events were now erupting pahoehoe. I wonder about the temperature of the surface blocks. Thank you again for this fascinating video.
