i have a 240hz msi monitor but the 240hz option doesnt show up there, any idea what it might be?

depends on the cable your using, HDMI drop my refresh rate some, but getting a DP cable will allow you to see those refresh rates

If you use hdmi I think its capped to 144 hz and you need displayport and try seeing lower resolutions if they have 240 hz
