Hi Lexi, amazing review as always. Honestly, athough the collection looks beautiful on you I have to admit they could have amped up the packaging. I'm also really disappointed they didn't take care of your blush refund without requesting you return it. It is on them that it arrived shattered and what are they going to do with it upon receipt...trash it. I'm all about a good customer service experience and this to me wasn't acceptable. Thank you so much for working overtime for your subscribers. This is the place to be for certain for all the information you need and more.

That’s why I never order from them directly. Usually I order chantecaille from Beautylish, the customer service is outstanding as is their return policy.

I’m underwhelmed with their return policy. If I remember correctly you can’t return used or gently used items. Basically if you tried a product and it didn’t work, you’re stuck with it.
Chantecaille’s customer service is not top but then again the family sold the business to private equity and with that comes the downfall

@@LexiJong Absolutely! The key things you mentioned were that the Lotus Blur powder was lighter than the regular one, which was actually my gripe with the permanent one. Plus the comparison of the Lotus blush with the Les Chaines... Don't like having to be obsessively careful about the pigmentation level, so I think I'll get this lighter Chantecaille one to make my life easier (as it seems similar enough) and just declutter the Chanel sadly. Thanks again, all this decision making was possible because of your comparisons 😁😊🖤
@@catc473 I always feel so guilty decluttering the Chanel items but I'm going to be doing that soon too with some other items from them. I think you are right and it is better to just go with what you will truly love and stop wasting space with the items that are okay.

This is the video I’ve been waiting for! Thank you for always reviewing Chantecaille. This packaging seemed like an unusual choice for holiday. It reminds me of the color of the water off the gulf coast of Florida and shells somehow. Hoping I can swatch when I’m at CosBar next week and make some decisions. I’m always thinking about minimizing texture on my more mature skin but I live a little glow.

Hi Lexi! Thank you for all that you do in each of your reviews it never goes unnoticed how much work, effort and detail you put into your work. I must say Chantecaille has not given me anything this whole year. The last product I bought from them with no hesitation and full satisfaction was the elephant palette. Every release after that launch was an easy skip for me. I’m still teetering on that eye single that can be worn on the cheeks and eye from the summer. But it was so expensive so if I can get it on sale I will probably pick that up. I’m not holding my breath for this brand unless they release another quad like the giraffe 🦒 ❤

Thanks Yulia! I have the rose tint in a previous video. It gives a bit of a rosy lit from within tint to the skin. I have enough redness so I usually use it with concealer - either before or mixed with it.

I’m so glad you showed this collection, Lexi! I received the information from Chantecaille, but I wanted to see how the products applied first to determine what I might be interested in. With the prices what they are, I have to be more selective in my choices.😊 The blush is a bit sheer and glowy for my liking. I’m afraid it would show too much texture on me. I actually might look into the RMS blush you compared it with! That’s beautiful! I really like the highlighter, but it’s somewhat similar to last year’s, which I already own. The item I’m really fond of is the glow powder. I love that it brightens, but has a slight pale gold reflect to it. I think that would be stunning on me, and different enough from the other blur and brighten powder, which I own. Thanks for the informative review of this collection!
The RMS blushes are beautiful! I really love their formula. If you get the blur powder, I hope you enjoy it! It really is a beautiful soft glow.
Hi Lexi, fantastic video, nothing really stood out to me to be honest with you, I wished Chantecaille would come out with the same formula as the perle blush last year, I used every bit of product it would be great in different shades for all skin tones, this was so beautiful on my skin. Probably need to see more of these products in action before I make my decision. Yeah I don't enjoy cheap packaging, years ago now I owned a medium sized metal compact the design was of mother of pearl ballerinas dancing I'll never forget this of course I lost it over the years, but you could refill it, it was soooo beautiful to look at. Thank you for this comprehensive video! It's exactly what I needed. I am on the hunt for a similar product to the Lotus Blur Glow without the gold cast. I liked the Blur powder, but it was too yellow, changed my base color, and could easily look cakey on me if I werent' careful. I was hoping the Blur Glow would be ideal, but not with the gold. *sigh*
I'm glad it was helpful! The Givenchy pressed powders can give a blur but don't have the glow really. If I think of anything, I will let you know.

I agree! Eclat Doux should be permanent and the packaging designs they had that year were fantastic! I wish they would go back to that but honestly, I would take any packaging for that powder. I use mine sparingly now because I don't have a backup.
@@LexiJong same! I still have mine, and use it on special occasions. The packaging for it when it came out is some of my favorite packaging from Chantecaille, just beautiful.
I also have the Flower Power blur powder with the flowers in top of the compact..I do really enjoy that powder, however I am very fair skinned and that powder is a tad dark for my complexion. The Éclat Doux powder is perfect for my skin tone..maybe I'll start emailing Chantecaille about if they even intend to bring it back. I do think making it a permanent part of their product collection would be a great idea.
I can only hope one day they bring it back..it's probably my all time favorite powder from Chantecaille.

It's so odd! I'm curious if my broken product somehow disrupted the pigment distribution in some way but I don't really understand how that could happen. The color in the pan is misleading imo but I think overall it is a nice highlighter. I wish they had marketed it that way instead.

I like it but don't love it. Porcelain is my perfect match though and they only have porcelain in that product. I will actually have a side-by-side of the Chantecaille with the new Cle de Peau soon. The future skin is similar to that but for me, the Chantecaille seems to get absorbed by my skin more resulting in less coverage. I would have to say though that it is my favorite foundation from Chantecaille.

Very good detailed video again!!! The packaging......is totally different than the gorgeous pearls last year, i'm also not attracted to it but that's also me. About the products, the blur/finishing powder i really don't need, enough similar products still from Hourglass which are maybe better. About the blush, very nice, a blush and a highlighter in one, and lovely colour! About the highlighter, i love subtle highlighters! So, most of this collection is on my wishlist, and not many are from all the releases i must say. The highlighter i'm sure, the blush i'm thinking, but time enough before it's in Europe, Lexi. And i saw on their Insta post, i believe yesterday that there comes a lipstick of which a small part is for Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, i believe for planting trees, which is very good of course! So when that lipstick comes, i want it anyway, with my endless passion for elephants and beautiful organisations like Sheldrick Trust! Thank you for this review! I had preordered the highlighter but I think I might change my order to the blush one instead. The highlighter seems very subtle! I am not crazy about the packaging either tbh :-/ I wish they had captured the flower part of the lotus.
Yes! I was just saying to a friend that they should have used the flower. It makes no sense to me why they chose this particular design. I think the blush might be a better option since it is different from other items.
Hi Lexi, Do you think the blur powder emphasizes pores? The current blur powder works in summer for me but it is too dark in winter. With that said, it does blur my pores.
No I don't think it emphasizes pores but I don't think it is as blurring as the original. The glowiness may be affecting that.

I really wanted to get the new metal blue powder but of course it's sold out and the reg Og but they have the lotus marked down do u think I should pick that up ? I have meteorites and Hourglass , I thought about picking up the Goa bronzer ( always looking for the perfect bronzer ) I actually really wanted that metal collection glow powder but waited to long .
I saw the ski store actually had the concealer and face stick marked down 50% and the tinted moisturizer was marked down even more too before the BF Xtra savings ( didn't know if any of those were worth picking up of course limited shades )
* I remember when that Guerlain meteorites highlight came out years ago , I'm still kicking myself for not getting that 😢
I think they may be changing some of their base products soon as I've seen a lot of markdowns on those. Personally, the lotus powder is nice but it is firmly pressed so I feel like it is as not as nice formula-wise as this year's holiday powder (also oos). It has a nice soft candlelit glow on the skin so if that is a good shade for you, I think with the markdown and the sale discount, it is worth getting even if it wasn't your first choice.
I got my bronzer and it wasn't attached to the pan compact idk what to do I emailed them with a pic asking what to do but no answer I mean I can glue it I guess but for that kind of money for a bronzer u want it all in tact 😢 I'm sure u have had to glue stuff back what do u use , what kind of glue will hold it down ? . I'm kinda annoyed with that but it's probably gonna be more annoying to send it back to get my money back or replaced if they even do that and I do really like it . I got Goa I wanted the cosmic one the packaging of course but that color wouldn't suit me I don't think it would be dark enough or the right undertone I like .

Upon first glance, I thought this release resembled spring - as others have pointed out. Overall, I don’t dislike the packaging, but the contents don’t call my name. Too much glow for my age. I’m afraid my pores/texture would be emphasized. But, I am lucky to have two unopened Eclat Doux powders. Thank you for this review, Lexi. The products are lovely on you!
On a different note, I just purchased Byredo’s Liquid Lip in “Flushed.” It’s so gorgeous on you, but blah on me. Lol I may need to use a lip liner to wake it up.🤦🏼♀️
Oh you are so lucky to have two backups! I'm so sorry that Flushed didn't work on you. I hope you can find a liner you like with it or you are able to return it for another shade. The Baiser Cosmique may be one you like better as it has a bit more depth and a touch of shimmer.
I can’t believe they’re making you return the broken blush to get the refund! 😡 I don’t think that their service/policies are the best. I ordered an advent calendar for my mom last year, but also a lip chic that was pre-order/not yet available at the time. 2 weeks later I called customer service because my mom’s birthday had come and gone, and I couldn’t understand why the calendar hadn’t shipped. They said that because the lip chic wasn’t available, the entire order was held up. I asked them to cancel the order, and initially they refused! Eventually a manager agreed to cancel, but the whole experience was frustrating and left me with a negative impression of the entire brand
They made the return process very easy for me and it was going to go in the trash anyway so it isn't a big deal but the shipping is wasteful imo. Your experience sounds terrible! It should not be so difficult for them to cancel an order and they should have communicated to you that everything would ship together. I'm so sorry that happened!
Hi Lexi! Thank you for featuring the Chantecaille’s Holiday collection - I agree that the compacts look a bit cheap - compared to previous years’ holiday collections. I was surprised that the blush is more of a dark highlighter (Chantecaille should have released it as a “deep highlighter” given that there is a “light highlighter”). I would love to see you with the highlighter on its own, to see the actual shade on you. Chantecaille is doing itself a disservice by not sending you a replacement blush without first receiving the broken one (ironic since Chantecaille is supposed to be into saving energy!). Your video is certainly discouraging me from ever ordering directly from Chantecaille. Thanks again!
I completely agree with you. I will feature the Chantecaille highlighter on its own in another video soon but there is an additional demo of it in the rephr video going up in the morning.

How does the Lotus powder compare to the Hermes and Christian Loubotin?
I don't have the CL but the Hermes doesn't have the glow. I think the Hermes gives off a subtle lightness to the skin but not this soft golden vibe. However, they are both very subtle. Overall, the Hermes is not as firmly pressed as the Chantecaille so it is easier to pick up more product at once.

Good morning Lexi. I have to confess that lately the Chantecaille releases don't call my attention. They don't seems to me very different of what we see on the market in terms of produts and packaging and the prices improved drastically. Exist any comparasions between this powder and the KGD? I think this is different from the KGD because of the golden glow. That is why I didn't include that comparisons. The KGD is more of a matte glow but it is a lit from within look that doesn't really change the color. It's also more powdery so it is easier to pick up. I think the KGD is a bit more blurring too imo. The Chantecaille really gives you the look of sitting at a candlelit dinner with a soft focus golden blur. It is a very light gold so doesn't alter your color much but adds some warmth. It really needs to be buffed in though and the KGD can be applied with a fluffy brush or a buffing brush.

I am wondering if you have found the quality has changed since they sold the company. I was excited for the glow powder. But $98 is exorbitant, and it doesn't seem to do much. And the packaging seems to get cheaper and cheaper with time. I picked up the spring collection during the sale. And was very disappointed with it.
I actually think the quality changed a bit before they sold it. I was thinking that perhaps they were struggling and that was why the quality was inconsistent so I was hoping that the influx of money from the sale would improve things. Some things have gotten better like the jaguar eyeshadow formula but overall, I feel like they are kind of all over the place right now.
Hi Lexi. I dont think i am getting anything from this Chantecaille collection.i dont see anything so unique. I am not a powder girl, although i love WA pink bubble. I still have that Eclat powder. I might need to try again , maybe now i am a powder girl😳🤪😜 how do you use eclat one as setting or finishing powder? I did picked up that eye gloss from Chanel, and also the gold top coat. I still thinking about Rouge Ombre laque lipstick. I dont have any laques. And that red doesnt look too cool either no? But i might pass. I have 2 reds from last year holiday of Chanel and Dior, and new Valentino. Ah i dont know. This one screams holidays😂 and to add little of that gold gloss. 🤔 Anyways Chanel coco mademoiselle shimmering gel such a disappointment. I am sending back. P.s I finally tried TF bitter peach quad i loved it. I paired with Hourglass solstice eyeliner and with chestnut brown Chanel mascara. Very light makeup no makeup look, for brunch by the beach. Those colors brings out blue eyes goes well with blonde hair😜 Have a blessed day🙏🧡
I love the Eclat Doux as finishing powder but you can use it as setting powder too. I just love the finish of it so much that I don't want to "waste" what I have left underneath products. I have to admit the Chanel laques are nice but you may want to look at one of the Gucci liquid lipsticks and then add the gloss to that because then you can have a matte look or a glossy look. They are a really nice formula but they are more strongly fragranced than the Chanel. Your makeup look sounds perfect! I'm sure you look gorgeous Giedre! Have a wonderful day!
Hi Lexi! I'm not 100 percent sure of this, but I believe some of the proceeds from the lip chic goes to philanthropy. I could be wrong though.
I completely agree with you on the packaging. I think it's kind of ugly 😕 I know that's harsh but I just wish they did something different. I still ordered the whole collection though 😂
That sucks that your blush came broken. At least you are able to get your money back. I'm still waiting on mine to arrive so I'm crossing my fingers nothing comes broken.

They have been more clear on that recently but the information is still sometimes hard to find. I think it may vary with the collections too but I could be wrong on that. Chantecaille used to just donate a flat amount per collection but I believe they now have moved a percentage or at least they have for some collections.

Interesting. The original blur powder did add colour to my skin (I'm v fair) so maybe the new one is better for me
Yes, I'm surprised they made this one lighter. It seems an odd choice to me considering their permanent shades but I think this one will work better for you. It's not quite the same though as the originals because of the finish.

Hummm… Most Will accept a photo of the damaged product emailed to them to receive refund or replacement. It is wasteful and time consuming to insist they can do either until the damaged one is received back, had a recent experience from another company my returned item sat in their warehouse for a month and a half. I had to call twice to get the refund applied to my account. Why make it harder than necessary❓❓🤷♀️

I have several pieces from chantecaille (a couple eyeshadow singles, a powder, etc) and I’m always shocked by the packaging. Even when it looks cute, it’s such light weight and cheap feeling plastic. (Especially since the price is so way up there)
I agree! I remember the first time I bought a philanthropy cheek shade. I thought for sure it would be metal packaging and I even contacted them over it but was told that it's plastic so that it isn't too heavy.

I'm surprised how sheer and glowy the blush is! It seems like it would have been a better idea to market it as a highlighter to begin with. I really like the look of the packaging but am disappointed about the raised edges

Really enjoyed this review. This collection is a pass for me. The products just don’t thrill me. Wow! Beautylish has changed. A couple of years ago I received a shattered product. I asked if they wanted it back and was told no. They asked if I wanted a refund or replacement. They didn’t even want me to send a picture of the product. Maybe people were saying something arrived damaged to get an additional product. In any case I hope you had them pay to ship it back. I agree with the person that made a comment stating that it doesn’t reflect on their customer service. 💕
Thank you Jan! It wasn't Beautylish that I ordered from but Chantecaille. They sent me a paid return label and really all I had to do was pack it up and stick it in the mail so it wasn't a big deal. I'm lucky enough that my mailbox is large enough to fit the box so I didn't have to drive to the post office.

I understand! Honestly, if I didn't have a channel, I would have skipped them too because even though the contents are great, there are other products on the market just as good with better packaging and value imo.

Yes! I don't think the design was well thought out imo.
I do love Chanticaille and picked up both quads and all four of the lip balms they released earlier in the fall. But this is a very underwhelming release. I did look at it, but none of the products appealed to me. Last year, I picked up all the pearl packaged items - the blush and the highlight and do love them both. Maybe it was the packaging? But the products themselves appealed to me! Finally, having to return the broken product without a photograph sufficing is ridiculous. Good to know; I won’t order directly from Chanticaille if that is their policy. It also runs antithetical to their whole nature/environment aesthetic because the return adds to their carbon footprint. If they want to benefit the earth, they should begin by changing this policy.
I agree with you Roz. I had to send in pictures before I could get approval to a return or refund and that should have been sufficient but oh well. I would recommend shopping at a different retailer for those who are interested though, just in case something happens. I feel like this is fairly common practice for a lot of direct retail companies whereas the department stores are better with their customer service in this regard. Returning something to Dior is way more difficult than this! I think the Fall collections this year were standouts but this one is just not as special for me.
Lexi, thank you for reviewing this collection! It’s a beautiful collection but if I look at the packaging I would not think Chantecaille. It’s like they outsourced it to another company. I agree Lora! Although I know there are other people who like this packaging so perhaps they are just trying something different this launch. I'm crossing my fingers they go back to the more elegant aesthetic they were once known for.

That's a shame about your blush. Last year, I received a damaged compact for holiday and they sent me a replacement and a label for the return, so they crossed in transit. The CS was very friendly and helpful. I love Chantecaille, but this collection confuses me...its vibe is ethereal spring for those who wear Aura, more than holiday. I think the gold overlay is meant to represent lotus seed pods, but that's not even seasonal either. Nice review, I was pretty sure this would be a pass for me, but I'm sure it's just the thing for someone. Packaging and ghostly whisper color story aside, their formulas are consistently good. I think the lip crystal is a charity product, if that helps! 😊

The actual products are really nice and I know there will be some people who love this collection. I'm so glad to hear the lip cristal is philanthropic!
To me the packaging looks like a cross cut of the lotus root… also still not holiday, but 🤷♀️

G'Day Lexi, Pretty products but I think the packaging is bordering on hideous. I also think Chantecaille should know how much you promote their products and not even question you about the broken blush. Perhaps they will watch this video and become aware of you and put you on their PR list because you are are very good product reviewer.
I completely agree with you about the packaging Gail! They have sent me PR periodically but I don't think I will be added to their permanent PR list. I'm not even sure if they have a permanent list.

Thank you! I don't mind sending it back but feel like it is just a waste of everyone's time and resources to do so since I showed them how broken it was right in the box. They aren't the only company though that does this though.

Your video and descriptions of all of the Chantecaille products were excellent per usual…BUT, this is a huge pass for me. For a company like Chantecaille and the prices that they charge, I’m beyond underwhelmed.

Yes, I have to agree with you. A few years ago, they were my favorite brand, hands down! But things have not been reaching those levels imo.
