Wow! You do such a great job of filming so that we can get a true idea of the product! Thank you for being willing to do close up shots for us and whatever camera you are using, it’s fantastic! Can’t say enough how much I appreciate the time and effort you put in to make great reviews for us! BTW, I wasn’t even considering this collection but now I am because it looks so pretty for an everyday look. Yes, it’s overpriced, but if it actually gets used regularly instead of just sitting at the back of my collection, then it ups the value. Plus, it really is all about the packaging on this collection. I will wait to see the Chanel spring collection and decide between the two which pieces I want to pick up. Thanks again.

Thank you so much for your review . I LOVE how you put the shadows each on separately . I Love CHANTECAILLE products as I am 55 and they work well on my skin and are subtle in color . I ordered the CROCUS lip chic already , so I am excited for that . I was most interested in the reviews for the eyeshadows and now I will wait for CHANEL. I wear mostly CHANEL and CHANTECAILLE now . I think I’m passing on this as it’s so expensive and just not unique enough colors for me to warrant a purchase. I love the swatches you shared and e demos and wear time. Thank you for all of your hard work. You are incredible and such a wonderful teacher! I’m curious about the spring eye quad from Chanel and think maybe the colors look more unique to me even both eye palettes look somewhat similar. Hi Lexi, thank you for your super thorough and unbiased review. The collection is definitely about the gorgeous floral packaging, which is just stunning to look at. What's inside is nice enough but I think not nearly as special as the outside. It does look beautiful on you though and I know you love flowers!

I’ve been waiting for these reviews and of course you are the first. I wanted to purchase everything from this collection because of the packaging but decided to wait for reviews and swatches. I don’t think I saw any bad shades everything looked nice on you the quad, blushes and lipsticks. I especially like the lipsticks every shade looked good on you. Thank you Lora! The packaging is stunning and all of the shades and products are nice. They just aren't unique imo. I still don't regret my purchase but I am a bit disappointed that the products are more average than I expected.
I know this might not be a popular opinion but one of the reasons why I love Chantecaille is because their makeup is not too pigmented but subtle and light. And their packaging is gorgeous.

I appreciate their soft colors too but I prefer when they do more luminous textures with them versus basic mattes personally. Overall, the collection is gorgeous for sure.

Sure! I am still waiting for my suqqu order but if it doesn't come in the next day or so, I will just go ahead and compare what I have. Texturally though the Suqqu are better imo.

Thank you so much for the thorough review and comparisons! It’s good to know that the blush has some longevity- that’s a huge plus. I totally agree with your thoughts- nothing really special about the makeup, but the packaging is pretty. I have very mixed feelings about Chantecaille in general, but I’d say this particular collection is better than some of their recent releases. I’ll be interested to see how the quartet compares to the upcoming Chanel spring quad! 💗
I am very curious about that as well! It's a shame that the items just weren't more spectacular considering this is their 25th anniversary but hopefully we will see something amazing later this year.

Hi Lexi, thanks for the thorough review. I like the colors, a very spring look, some collections the past few years really don’t evoke spring and flowers to me, but this does. The upcoming Chanel quad looks very spring as well. I just don’t plan to pick up anything so far. The blushes are my pick, but I have similar colors already like my Hermes blush.

Fabulous video Lexi and your comparisons are unsurpassable! I have a separate category in my youTube 'saves' of Lexi Jong videos and this is another one being stored for future reference. I have the Chantecaille in Bourbon Rose - my first ever Chantecaille purchase a couple of years ago and nearly finished. Clover and Willow are now on my radar! I loved everything I picked up from the Perle limited edition - blusher, highlight and eye shadow. They cost a fortune but I'm so glad I got them and the cheek brush you recommended to replace the Suqqu cheek brush I couldn't get is one of my most treasured possessions 😊🙏

Thank you, Lexi! I've been waiting for your detailed, unbiased review. I am a sucker for beautiful packaging, but I'm going to try and resist. I'll grab the lipsticks while crossing my fingers, toes, and eyes that Chantecaille does something more elaborate for its 25th. I don't think anything will top the release that had the pearls on top; it's all downhill from there for me. I'm curious how you are able to apply and buff powder blushes over dewy foundations without getting the brush gunky? Clearly, I need to work on my application technique. 🤣
Thanks Denise! I take a fluffy powder brush and dust it over my face first before the blushes. I don't always apply powder but will use a brush that I used with powder the day before. (I clean my face powder brushes 1-2x week)
Thank you for the demos, they are really helpful. I was mostly looking at the blushes since there is more product than their philanthropy blushes. But, the colours and formula don’t look particularly unique, which means I will already have something that suffices. (I might have to pick up a lip chic though, mostly for the packaging 😂) For the eyeshadow, I really want them to come out with something like the duochrome in that butterfly collection a while ago. It’s the prettiest shade!

So I just (yesterday) ordered the quad, the lighter blush, and the peach lip balm. I do love the Crocus on you and I love the look of pink lipsticks, but not on me. I’m good with mauves, plums, browns, beiges . . . But pinks aren’t great on me. But you’re tempting me! I hope I selected the right blush. I really like a neon pink blush (like the viral Dior one), so I went with the lighter; but you are correct that they look very close!
I think you will like the Apple Blossom better than the Anemone blush Roz. There is a bit of that neon vibe in it that I think you will like. It's a soft brightening. I hope you like everything you ordered!

Thanks, Lexi, for another excellent and very comprehensive review. Question…are the shimmery shades in this quad more shimmery than the ones in the Cougar quad? The Cougar is my favorite to date, because of the soft shimmers.
The gold one is a bit more shimmery than the cougar but rest are not.

I like the shadow quad, especially the pink & taupe colors, but I’m hesitant due to price. I might pick up the crocus or lighter peach lipstick. It’s absolutely about the packaging, although I enjoy the Lip Chic formula. Thank you Lexi & thanks for the Instagram swatches!

Rebecca from Not Fit For Print Beauty used the pink eyeshadow over top of the brown base color, and it created a beautiful, almost iridescent color. In fact, it makes me more eager to purchase this palette because I feel the same way as you about pink eyeshadows.

I don’t understand why ppl always think high price has to equal super pigmented. What i love about the Chantecaille quads is they often provide a watercolor effect on the eyes which i think is beautiful. that look is more easily achieved without super saturated pigments. I wasn’t planning on picking up this collection till i swatched it in store (stunning) & found a 20% off coupon code and then i felt i just kinda had to pick up a few bits 😂
I agree that high price tag does not need to equal high pigmentation. There are some really beautiful soft shades at high price tags from a variety of brands. I think this is a beautiful quad but I don't personally find the textures to be anything special in this one compared to previous quads. It's still a nice quad though. 20% off is a great deal and I totally think this is worth getting on sale!

Yes! I am so interested in the DM balms! I love her blurring balm powder. These kind of look like they might be similar to the Armani neo nude melting color balms and I really want to compare them!

I was all ready to buy the blushes when I first saw the promo photos, but I think the reality is I just want it for the embossing, and I already have some PMG with that. $75 is just so much money for something that's not that special of a product when you actually look at the swatches and performance. My pleasure! I really wanted them for the packaging myself so I completely understand. I feel like this was a missed opportunity for them to not use a better formula like the Rouge Perle blush. Although maybe people there prefer this texture and it's just me.

Thank you for investing in the entire Wild Meadows collection. With respect to the eye quad, I actually prefer the past Chantecaille quads you used for comparisons - I am especially disappointed there’s no duochrome in this new one. As for the $2.34 donation per quad, that’s only 3% of the MSRP (and that tiny amount will probably decrease along with any discount). Passing on this entire collection, I am afraid.

There are no actual glitter chunks in the blush but mica is the first ingredient so you definitely see some shimmer!
I knew going into this that the formula for the eyeshadows would not be as pigmented as others. I feel for the price point these should be more pigmented. I actually bought the palette and plan to wear it over the weekend. The rest of the collection is a pass for me. Thanks Lexi for always giving us a ton of swatches of things from your collection. I think that the collection is beautiful and ordered the eye palette, both blushes and the pink lip colors. As much as I like Chantecaille products, I have to say that I’m unhappy with the price hikes. I’ve noticed that, since Chantecaille was acquired by Beiersdorf, a large corporate conglomerate and parent company of LaPrairie, the prices have increased quickly and the packaging is similar for all releases, in terms of composition and shape. While the acquisition is a compliment to the family’s success, there inevitably will be tension between profits and quality: note the donation amount and powder versus gel powder blush form. I think that the family maintains creative control of color selections and release themes, but I plan to be watchful. I agree that the blushes are more similar than pictured and am surprised. Have to say that my favorite Chantecaille blush formulas are the Perle blush from Holiday 2021 and the philanthropy blushes. Thanks for such a comprehensive review, Lexi. The colors are pretty! P.S. So sorry that I missed the Butterfly quartet.

I was very hopeful that the buyout would enable them to infuse more capital into quality control and innovation but it seems like prices have gone up and everything else has decreased. My favorite Chantecaille blushes are the same as yours - I think the philanthropy powder formula is better than this one. It is more powdery but it has a really nice finish on the skin. By the way, as pretty as the butterfly quartet is, I wouldn't be sorry for missing it. Aside from the duochrome shade, it wasn't that special imo and the duochrome is not as shifty as other brands.

Hi Lexi you look glowing today. But its easy pass on this collection, the only thing i liked it was apple blossom blush, but i have way too many blushes, and only one face 😂🤪😜 so its not Chanel. @@LexiJong thank you. It's a great shade on you. It actually comes across more peachy on video. I thought it was the lightest one. I will pick up all three shades because they are so easy wearing. I am hoping that you might pick up Sheer Peony from Sisley if it is a colour you are interested in. Sisley always has the worst group shots of lipsticks and terrible photos of the model wearing it. It's so hard to know what the shade will turn out to be unless one can see it in-store or hope that a content creator on YT will decide to purchase the lipstick and swatch it.

As one of the reviewers here said here, I also love how subtle and light Chantecaille's makeup is, it reminds me of Japanese makeup. Since I knew about this release, and supporting a piece of my home country, I have actually looked up the organization that is supposedly supported by this collection, by Chantecaille.
Well, not a single word about this on any of their socials or their website regarding their supporters.
You'd think it would be in their interest to update these platforms, too, also making it accessible in English, not just Romanian, given a bit of international help, but no change. At this point I am questioning if Chantecaille is actually donating anything.
So I am now even harder debating if I should get the Carpathia shade. I wanted to, simply because those are my mountains and that I'd know I supported the nature of my home country. Now it just sounds like 40 quid for a pretty packaging and a lipstick I don't actually need.
Oh my! I have no words! That does not sound good. I think Chantecaille rushed this release and it wasn't planned to be released until February originally so hopefully there is just a delay with that but overall, too many red flags with all of this. Thank you so much for sharing!
I emailed the organization and this was their reply;
“Sylvie Chantecaille is a great supporter of endangered species of birds and plants wich are very close related and helps to save one of the Europe’s most rich ecosystems. She has been personally in Transylvania last year and she has been inspired of the whole area. The Chantecaille Foundation is a very well know and respected organisation and is not in their interest to make up something like that. As you see it can be easily checked out.”

Not sure why they’re not promoting it, but sure they have a good reason. They were very forthcoming. I’m debating about the quad and waiting for the Chanel release. If I don’t get it, I’ll make a donation to this very worthwhile cause.

Excellent, thorough review as always. With respect to Chantecaille, however, $2.34 / $78 for one item in a collection is the charitable equivalent of "greenwashing." These products are so highly priced, and the charitable giving is so minimal, that it's a stretch for them to be branding themselves as this great philanthropist. No hate on the charity (I'm half Romanian), but you're paying $10-$20 more for these well-marketed products so that they can donate $2.34.
That is exactly how I feel about the whole thing and the fact that they get a giant tax credit for this really just rubs me the wrong way.
Lexi, Lexi, Lexi, No! Are Lip Chics really going away? Have you heard this from the horse's mouth? My everyday go to formula is a Lip Chic because it is so easy to apply/reapply even if you have no mirror or lip pencil. Do you think they are just reformulating?

No lip chics aren't going away but the original ones in the gunmetal packaging may be discontinued. I have heard this from someone who works at a counter near me. There is no way they will be discontinuing lip chics but I think they will all now be in the rectangular packaging at the higher price points.

Beautiful collection. I, for one, have decided to boycott Chantecaille. The size of what you receive for, imo, mediocre, tiny products is just not worth it. The packaging is pretty but I won’t be applying or wearing the packaging. Also, what they actually donate is absurd compared to what they make. So, I’m finished with them. I agree - I'm pretty upset about this. To be fair, I don't know their profit margin but I think there is a pretty hefty markup so this is a small percentage of profits still by my guess.

Chantecaille is a brand I always avoided. It is much pricier than Dior, Chanel, Tom Ford, Gucci and many other luxury brands and I think not worth the money at all.. It is much overpriced for what you get at this price point. I don’t like the quality and I don’t like the packages. I think most of the products from this brand look cheap and quality is under the expectations. The mascara in Australia is $110 and any luxury mascara here is $60+. Only Sisley mascara, Tom Ford and Westman Atelier are $80+ . So Chantecaille mascara is almost double in comparison with most of the luxury brands and you get nothing special, just a heart attack when you see the price.
Regarding this limited edition collection I think the quad and blushes are terrible (almost 0 pigment from lighter shades from the quad and same issue with blushes) and nothing out of this world except the cost) and the lipsticks are average and you can find similar lipsticks at lower price with same or better quality.
Sorry, but I don’t get the hype with this brand and for me is on the list with “never buy”.
I have to agree Alina. Chantecaille was my favorite brand a few years back so I always root for them but I'm really just not happy with the value recently. They have had some incredible products in the past (like the Eclat Doux powder) but recently I think things have been pretty mediocre and much more expensive. I had very high hopes for this collection and I think it is pretty but didn't meet my expectations personally.
I was tempted by the powder in the neon packaging (forget the name) but it isn’t especially unique, and $100 plus. $100 aud plus for mascara is ott.
I don’t think the packaging is all that great with this release.
The pearl packaging from 2021 was delightful.
