We have cruised to the Bahamas three times 1987 (38 Morgan) , 2010-2011 (42 Catalina)and 2015-2016 (42 Catalina) and I think you guys have the perfect boat for it. If we go back (and we really want to) it's going to be in a small, shallow draft vessel like yours. Love your videos!
Sounds like you have had some great experiences Ralph. Good luck on your future travels . Our boat really is great for the Bahamas. It gets you in nice and shallow!
It was pretty neat how clear the shallow water was with the two sharks swimming around. Beautiful ! That was a pretty good catch....for dinner. What little I saw of dinner....it looked delicious!
It was delicious. We can usually count on Michael to get us some dinner, and yes, that water is unbelievable! Thanks T
Did I catch that you might be leaving the Bahamas soon? Heading back to Georgian Bay?? Thanks, and the videos are wonderful
Yes Scott, you are correct! We appreciate your kind words and look forward to another season of fresh water on Georgian Bay soon.
Loved the video. How big is the risk of ciguatera poisoning from grouper? Is there a way to test for it before you eat it? I eat grouper in restaurants but I'm always slightly nervous about it.
John , we have heard over 8 lbs (ish) you should be careful . We are not aware of any reliable way to test the meat before you eat it. There are theories though. I suppose there is always a risk when you eat at a restaurant . We have never had a problem so far thank goodness.
We have heard that you should be careful over 8 lbs for grouper. There is no reliable way to test the meat prior to eating that we know of . There are theories though - not any we trust. I suppose you have to be careful of anything from a restaurant, but we have not had any problems so far - thank goodness.
Yumm Grouper!
The best!
Nice Sunset !
Yes it was! The clouds in the Bahamas fascinate me!
seems like you have been in the Bahamas forever... did you drop a hint it's time to head north again?
Yes, very perceptive Rashnak!
What island was this at? Looks familiar so it is bothering me that I can't remember
The Berry Islands
What’s the longest amount of time you’ve been on that boat thank you
All the best Dave. It's a tiny boat . We spend a great deal of time in the water , fishing and hiking.
you need to trim your dinghys outboard way up, its gonna help you gaining more top speed :)
Soft bottom dinghy's are different animal. No electric trim on a 9.9 tiller. There fore it will cavitate on the hole shot. Answer is move the weight back is all you can do.
@@expeditionseanest Makes sense, Yeah I forgot the Highfields have a deep V! :) cant wait to see you guys at the next Anapolis boat show
