When I was a kid, back in Ye Olde Days (the 80s), Band-aids came in metal boxes like that. When the bandages were used up I remember by parents kept nails and other small things in them. I guess they are vintage now, according to Etsy. The one you found is much cuter thought, and a great little addition to your newly renoed space!
Love this makeover! However, I wouldn’t recommend keeping makeup brushes out in the open in the bathroom. Especially near a flushing toilet or where people wash their hands. Lots of bacteria droplets flying around, landing on the brushes then being transferred to your skin and makeup.
The makeover is AMAZING!!!!!! and I love how you accidentally ended up making Season2 of My Rental Reno. Thank you for always being so positive! This video really put a smile on my face.
When we bought our apartment there was no storage at all in the bathroom. Changed out the vanity and opted for a circle mirror as the statement because I felt it would be too busy with art work. Convinced my fiance we needed a wooden shelf and it looks so good! A shelf under the mirror is so underrated and the wood makes it look warm

I also really like that half circle mirror and the once you took out of that space and put into your bedroom fits there really beautifully. I love adding a touch of whimsey to every room! Sometimes it's a tiny piece, so you have to search for it! In my living room it's a small wire tea light holder that is a snail!!!! I got it from Pier 1 years and years ago!!!
I also got a long wooden shelf made for my bathroom. Once you have it, there’s no going back. So functional and pretty . Love it. I think I may have to use that pink color somewhere in my house

My cozy is dark! I’m the process of redoing my bedroom and I will have baby walls and velvet curtains! That to me is cost. Although white and bright colors are beautiful, that doesn’t speak “cozy” to me!
I think you could put hooks on the bottom of your shelf and hang small baskets 🧺 one for your daily makeup and free up the shelf space to put out what you are using.

That mirror is really special together with the shelf and the quirky lamp. And pink does make it warm. Lottie was happy the plant returned.

Shelf a good idea, but having a "lip" or edge, one or two inches high would help prevent bottles from falling over or being knocked off
