Been driving my Accent CRDi since 2017 and have not considered upgrading it since I saw this. Love the power this car brings especially on open hi-ways. Fuel efficiency and reliability and of course the power and its torque.. Looking forward to seeing the DCT variant again.

Still have the 2017 1.6L CRDI 7DCT. 6 years on and the drive never change at all and shifting is still very smooth. Really enjoy the Accent. It is fast and very responsive especially on open roads in the provinces. And now the new turbocharged CRDI engine has 158Hp and paired with 7DCT? Wow!

My mom owns a 2015 Hyundai Accent sedan with CRDi and manual-transmission, from Hyundai’s previous Philippine distributor for passenger vehicles (Hyundai Asia Resources Inc, now Hariphil, which only distributes trucks and buses). It was surprisingly reliable, and under the old distributor, their after-sales service was particularly excellent; we were able to get our new key fobs on time when the rubber disintegrated. It is the second time our key fob’s rubber disintegrated, so we decided to call the same Hyundai dealership, where we bought the Accent for a replacement key fob for an appointment. Under the new distributor (Hyundai Motor Philippines), however, it has been almost six months and we were not able to get a replacement because even if they said that they were able to source the replacement key fob (which they said took months to acquire because of “supply chain issues”), they cannot schedule our “appointment” to get the key fob. The new distributor of Hyundai passenger vehicles and the distributor of Changan (which explains why Changan cars are sold alongside Hyundai vehicles in Hyundai dealerships) are now under the same parent company.
Both key fobs, the original and the first replacement, are still functional; I just bought the rubber pads for both from Shopee (which were obviously not genuine but felt more durable for some reason) and secured them to each fob using Loctite.

I've driven the current gen for a decent amount of time and I honestly quite liked it, more than the vios tbh. Just more interesting to me. This next-gen, I might actually seriously consider as a daily. Damn it looks good.

Most of the reliability problems of Hyundai's seem to be from the USA-made ones.

US- made turbo direct inject engines are the problem of hyundai right now. Sadly many people think that the rest of the world uses the same engine, which is not. In EU Hyundai abd Kia is among the most reliable car brand there. In US, not very much because of the said issue

Still with my 2017 Hyundai Accent 1.4 AT CVT. And it's still good as ever even at 283,000 KM already. Didn't give me headaches but the usual flat tires and battery run down. Love this car, always and forever.

Since we purchased our 2015 CRDI Hyundai Accent, I can say it would be really hard for me to go back to the number 1 car brand in the world. Haha! Interestingly and strategically great combination of Fuel Efficiency and Power while parts are SURPRISINGLY WIDELY AVAILABLE in the PH, Hyundai is I would say my KPOP addiction so far. And do we want more of Hyundai in the Ph? More than you know - YES!

The people still loved the old model of Hyundai accent car in India because of it was very compact version but if it would be possible to Hyundai to make the old version in 2023 with old body shape with some few changes like LED DRL'S and Power Window and rear Deffogger and Screen Touch Infotainment and rear parking camera in it and smar key control door opener auto dimming etc etc. I make sure the people in India will be crazy to buy and no any other competitor will remain with respect to Hyundai. Top seller will be in India will be Hyundai. But actually it is still remain like a dream because as of now we are moving forward the new designs we are watching now a days so it is like a dream which will never come true. That's all

I hope they release a CRDi variant. We bought the 2020 Accent because it's the cheapest turbo diesel car. The current gen Accent beats the City and Vios in terms of speed, torque and fuel efficiency after all. It's underrated because it lacks dispensable i.e. just gimmicky features.

I'd like an Accent. There's no way that'll compare to a lowly Vios, more like against the City and Altis. But given that it'll be as pricy as City and Altis, yeah better to stick with more practical MPVs. 😄

@@topethermohenes7658 Or maybe, just maybe, pinoys aren't letting the manufacturers know that they want better. Hyundai, Geely, and the other Chinese car makers have been responding to this by bringing actual cars that are up to spec and competitive with these cars offerred in the 1st world. The pinoys aren't poor, we just have an unusually stupid brand bias where we'll consider a Toyota with 2010 tech is still better than a modern Hyundai loaded to the gills with tech for the same price.
