  • Well here is part one for the ve guys out there.
    Step one
    Make sure the engine is in good shape. All fluids / filters are new etc
    The air filter in these trucks is a good size to make the power most guys will make with there truck. But you can put some hole in the box if you want.
    On to some cool parts
    4 inch turbo back exhaust
    Gauges ( pryo and boost )
    Fuel pin ( performance one just google it )
    Rpm spring ( 3200rpm )
    If your a non intercooled truck you could look into intercooling the truck.
    I will add could more things on the start of the next year

    I have the bmw 524td (usa) timing advance is electronically controlled via a frequency valve that stops or flows fuel onto the timing spring.
    I would love to convert my pump, or just buy a cummins idi of close specs but has mechanical timing advance.
    Due to electronics, two being #4 needle lift sensor and crank position, without those it defaults to 10deg advance after engine start.
    Technically its more fuel efficient.....when all sensors work.
    Thanks for posting your knowledge.

    Hello, I found your channel yesterday and sub after the 2nd vid I watched! You got some good content here. I been working on my 89 first gen. And got a 96 parts truck that I'm going to pull off the intercooler and hopefully the turbo is ok. I was run out of oil. But lots of good parts for cheap. Ill be watching for more vid. Thanks again.

      Thanks for watching ! the intercooler can be made to work. on the turbo if the turbo was ran out of oil I would atleast do a kit in it make sure it good inside.

    can you replace a ve pump with a p pump on a 5.9l 12v 1991 first gen dually?

    • @CUTTERUPROB
      @CUTTERUPROB  23 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      You can. But you need all the ppump parts to do so.

    Appreciate the info! I have a question... If I have an intercooled ve pump and put non intercooled delivery valves on it, can I run that on a non intercooled engine and be pretty close to the original output?

    • @CUTTERUPROB
      @CUTTERUPROB  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yep or swap the injection line. That’s the only real difference
