    When you totally heal and you will, you will be so much better than you ever we're trust me I was on Xanax for about six years and by the grace of God I have been off for 9 years. You will always be able to look back and see how strong you were to have made it through..and be thankful to God!! Bless you !!

    Thank you for your experience, strength, and hope. I have just started tapering off of Clonipin, 3mg a day for over 20 yrs. I’m now at 2.25 and moving to 2mg tomorrow. Most grueling thing I’ve ever experienced.

    Thanks for sharing! i am almost 14 months off and the deep physical and muscular pain has made life challenging. I wanted to thank you for your videos. Acceptance is the hardest thing to wrestle with. Having very few people left in my life and also those who judge is difficult too. in some ways the longer I am off and still sick the more worn out I am. i hear that in your post. Its a gratefulness for not being at the beginning but also a why is this still going on that is gnawing away. Anyway, no matter what has complicated our recoveries or why we are more sensitive, God will use it for His good. Keep it up and God bless.

    Thank you for posting the update. I am 11.5 months off and still suffering miserably on days. I noticed I have gotten better and grateful for and thinking I would heal at a year off however at the rate I'm going I don't know when but hoping it would be 2 years. This is terrible to go through. I'm still very sensitive and little thing stress me and make me have panic attacks. Anxiety, and other physical symptoms are still bad. Thanks again. I hope we all heal soon since this is very lonely and hard to go through.

  • @aileenfulgens1909

    You certainly sound fully healed. Most days I still talk in simple sentences, not being able to come up with specific words I'd like to use. I finished my taper 2 months after you. I was never stable during the taper. I may have kindled 3 times - coping with side effects from other psych meds the doc prescribed. I think the ativan destroyed my gaba receptors early on - I only used the ativan for sleep occasionally. Spent five years not knowing why I all of a sudden was having panic attacks all the time. Now, 22 months off and I've been in a wave for 3 months. The constant gut ache - that feeling like the first dip of the roller coaster - fun for a few seconds, not fun when it never goes away, I've been assured my heart is fine except for occasional racing and palps. But they are still so strong, it takes my breath away. The psychological torture of fearing my own body is keeping me from healing, I think. You are lucky to have had a great support system, I've had no one.

    Thank you Jocelyn for giving us an update on how you were doing... you are correct everybody is different I took benzo's for only one week and I'm out nine months and it's way better but there is still lingering symptoms for example lightheadedness, fluctuating blood pressure from one minute to another, really low heartbeat at night, some days there is weakness, anxiety some days it comes back and leaves ...I would say about 80% there but yeh there is still healing to be done, so let's all have a little faith and know we will be 100% one day just hold on!

    Thank you for the video. I can tell how much you have healed from the other videos. I didn't see any evidence of the brain fog issues or word finding issues which gives me a lot of hope. I am still in the tapering process and I am consciously trying to be more of a Mary and less of a Martha, or I too am taking a slower approach at life. I wish you good health and enjoy your time with your family! There will be others to carry the torch for change.

    Thank you so so much! I needed this because people really don't know how to take me either because getting off of these, makes me seem off, I believe and I'm always kind and friendly, if I'm able to do something on a certain day. Yeah, they certainly are nice but standoffish a bit. Then I look back and they've disappeared. It's okay, it really doesn't bother me. I've just noticed and moreso now. I'm still on a taper but I'm just not 100% stable. Don't think I will be until completely off and healed! I just know, that I'm doing the absolute best that I can and I know it's very misunderstood. It's strange because I believe I'm becoming a better version of myself. I have so much empathy and compassion for everyone! I hope your son is doing awesome and I hope you are completely healed and everything is going amazing for you! You are such an inspiration and a voice! I appreciate you so so much! You know how to help! Hug's sent! 🙏🙏🙌🙌🤗💞💐 If this is hard to understand, I'm sorry my brain is off track. 🙏🙌

    Thank you for your videos. Right now I'm 14 months free from Xanax. I definitely can relate to what you were going through 4 years ago. I'm not what I used to be. Right now I am very very limited to what I can do too, my threshold is very sensitive which can put me in a painful wave. My diet, physical, social activities, driving, sleeping, anxiety, stress, fear. Healing is very slow. I take alot of breaks, alone time, diaphragmic breathing, meditation, ice water sponge downs or baths which helps calm me down. I wonder how are you doing 4 years later from this video?

  • @Filthycoffin
    @Filthycoffin 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Hello beautiful how do you feel now seven years ago you made this video and you were helping lots of people did you recover at the three-year mark or when was your recovery that you felt like your life had gone back to being a normal human to where you could eat normal bad foodjust your body regulate back to a normal state. Did you ever reach that point of going back to before or did you have to adjust to a new more sensitive state of being

    • @BenzoBrains
      @BenzoBrains  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi my healing was a very non linear process of up and down. I'm very well now and can eat most things in moderation. But I am sensitive and do need to be mindful of what I put into my body and my self care. At 4 months I started a gut reset, high protein diet that was super helpful. In 2017 or so I did ket which was a big change. Afterwards I did some stem cell therapy that made a big difference for my brain. And then in 2019 I turned a big corner with meditation and spiritual work so that by 2020 I felt I could confidently remain in a stable state of healing. Hope that helps

    Thank you for this! Would love to share my story with you! Cold turkey’d off of Ativan after 1 month of use 1mg once a day by my doctor who told me just stop taking it and take Buspar instead. It’s been downhill since then. Couldn’t even take the Zoloft I had been on for years. Everyone kept telling me my symptoms were from anxiety so I ended up trying Paxil after a couple of months. HORRIBLE symptoms AGAIN!!!!! Almost 4 weeks off of the Paxil and I feel terrible. I was getting somewhat better but I’m right back to the beginning 😔 I hate this for you and for anyone else affected by this!

    I'm straight up terrified. I've been prescribed diazapam for about 16 years now. I have weened myself down from 30mg a day down to 7.5mg a day over the last year and a half. watching these videos are scaring the hell out of me yet giving me hope at the same time. I want to go faster with it, but I know that I have to take my time.... /sigh. I can't believe what the doctors have done to us. it's pathetic. I have current legal issues (a dui) and I'm very concerned that I might have to do a minimum of 10 days consecutive in the county jail. That's been the main reason for my recent weening a little faster process. Idk what to do. I don't want to die in jail over a "marijuana dui".. My life sucks.. hopefully this helps me to get totally sober and I never look back

    Going off benzodiazepines I've heard is harder than going off herion. I'm still going through my taper and I really have to keep explaining to my doctor's they have to slow down. One doctor said we need you off by the end of the year. I wish I would have said what's the hurry. I'm trying my best and we all can't move at mock speed. I've had one good day. I get the facial stuff also. I also get this dizzy thing it's crazy. It helps to keep a journal. I'm not a mother but I would imagine that must be really hard. You must feel the guilt thing but don't. You seem to do your best and I'm sure your an even better mother bcuz of what you've gone through. One day when your kid's are older I'm sure they'll understand. It helps me to keep my spirituality. It's hard when you try to explain what your going through and some people look at me like I have three head's lol. It's okay through you've made a difference in people's lives. Not everyone can say or do that. God bless you.

    I am a very long time user of Klonopin. Presently detoxing, down to a very small amount where the brick wall is. I wonder if I will be able to make it through the wall. Due to my age and other health problems I wonder if I will make it. Medical help is a complete joke so I'm on my own. My biggest problem now is trying to realize the difference between reality and withdrawal. Both are the same. Heart attacks are not fun, real or not. I have had my fair share.

Especially since his Valiums have increased from 30 pills monthly 10mg to 45 pills monthly 2 yrs. ago, and recently increased to 90 Valiums monthly in Aug 2020. Absolutely! I could be in an underground bunker with no access to the outside world and my body would tell me when a rain storm was coming. It was painful and difficult to think straight. But that got better with time. I can enjoy a rainstorm now but I still definitely do better with lots of sunshine.

Perhaps thats because I actually tell them its Benzos. Maybe, I should make something up! LOL But I am in the 5th month of my taper from Klonopin and am now below .5 mg. I hope you and your daughters are enjoying life. TommyB

    I hate my life now! I don't want to kill myself but I don't want to live anymore. I live in isolation and nobody in real life wants to be my friend. I have AA and recovery friends but it's not the same. I'm tired of doing everything alone. I live life in zoom land going to AA meeting after AA meeting all day. I was pushing myself in the gym and I ended up having stress induced cardiomyopathy. I have read acceptance is the answer a thousand times and it's still hard to accept that life is ruined. I don't know if I can make it through years of this hell

    What about having a baby on benzos? Obviously I don’t plan to but I am currently tapering and worried I’m 33 and I don’t have a ton of time… btw onlyyyy tapering to someday have a baby lol so yep.

      I've seen it successfully done. For the baby's sake though I wouldn't recommend it. My son experienced withdrawals

    Looking for advice...I was on klonopin (0.5 mg/day) for 3 weeks in January 2017 and various lower doses for all of December 2016. I have been tapering for 6 weeks and I'm down to 1/8 pill (0.0625 mg/day). I plan to be off completely at the end of this week.
    Other than some insomnia, I've had no symptoms, though I'm starting to feel it now. I just don't know if I should stretch out the taper beyond that. At this point, the taper has almost doubled the time that I've been on the klonopin. At some point, would increasing the total time I've had klonopin in my system be worse than slowing the taper?

    • @BenzoBrains
      @BenzoBrains  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's really your decision. I understand not wanting to be on it for too long. but then I know people who were only on it for a few weeks and had to do a year taper. You seem to be pretty lucky so far. Ashton recommends tapering to at least the equivalent 0.025 of klonipin or 0.5-.0.25 of valium. You may be pretty close to that now. sorry I couldn't respond sooner. I wish you a full recovery :)

    I can relate to your food and exercising...it isn't the same and you can't
    eat everything you ate before without paying the price hours later. And it is hard to get others to fully grasp that part. I believe with me, that some damages to my brain neurotransmitters have taken place and needs more time to balance again, but i don't deal with
    the immune system problem since I take certain supplements that keeps my cells healthy...along with lymphasizing exercises. But, it is an on going process as if I keep myself more in a bubble now.
    I've always found that 1/2 fresh lemon juice (alkalinity, Vit-C)with 1tbs Brag's Organic Apple Cider Vinegar (much needed potassium and live enzymes) with 1/4 tsp ginger (stomach issues and nauseousness) and turmeric pwd (inflammation, high BP) in 12oz water helps within
    15mins or less when an "episode" comes on...and w/1/2 magnesium citrate
    pwd the better, for nerves, mood & muscle relaxation. I've shared it with others and they are amazed how fast it works.
    If you haven't already, you may try Eric Berg's channel. His vids cover a lot of health issues with natural remedies...most of his 1000s of vids are only 3mins or shorter. I believe he also, will take any ones health concerns via e-mail and provide an analysis response for free. He covers remedies for inflammation, stress, sugar dangers, gmo foods, moods, energy, muscle pains, etc. I find him very knowledgeable and different from most other health professionals. And I always seem to learn something new. Thanks for your experiences and time you've given, it does help. semper fi

      AchillesIQ I totally agree I do an electrolyte mixture every day with mag citrate, potassium and Celtic sea salt. I will also do some lime juice in the mornings when I can. it's kind of hard to avoid illness when you have kids who are around other kids haha.

    I have something for you to think about, we have very bad digestive problem. . our immune system comes from our digestive system. . therefore it takes longer to heal any other thing like a cold. . back pain could be inflammation of the digestive system pressing on the spin. . ..
    try probiotic digestive enzymes. it helped me, but everyone is different. .
    I'm bezo free for 4 year's. . i still feel sick from time to time .. but in bezo hell.. I still can't have a cup of coffee, or alcohol. . or I'll feel sick.. still after 4 years..

      paul valenz yes probiotics can be helpful. actually the best thing for my gut was a temporary diet my doctor had me do for a few weeks. it's called the gut reset diet. you don't eat anything that ferments in your gut and this helps to balance out the bacteria and yeast in your digestive tract. it really helped and I'm going to need to do it again now that I'm. off the antibiotics

      For the most part. I still get the burning skin sensation from time to time. I think it is a permanent result of
      valium use. It is really uncomfortable. No 100 percent relief for it either. Except the things that caused it. Again, clonidine
      I take, at least keeps me
      from having bp and high heart rate episodes with it,
      and akathisia.
