Absolutely. I have had to do it multiple times in the past. Just disconnect the battery and start again once the engine is cool. Thank God it's winter.
Make sure to inspect vacuum lines to be sure they are connected and don't have any cracks. I would take a can of carburetor cleaner and mist around the base of the throttle body while the engine is running. If you get a change in idle when you spray, that's where your leak is. Make sure you clean the machine surfaces very well when you replace the gasket and throttle body.
Hi master, how about my honda crv 2008 as my fan automatic on once I key in. Do I need to remove the fan power supply as my fan not automatic before i go to next step for 3k rpm ? Thanks master
With your fan being electric, keep your AC off and follow the same steps. I would recommend doing it either early morning or late evening so the temperature is cooler. If I have more information I will respond further. Thank you.
Oil consumption issues could either be caused by a worn cylinder or piston rings being gummed up. I would recommend doing a seafoam treatment on the engine and letting it set for a few hours before driving it. Then, a day or two before your oil change I would add 1oz of seafoam per quart if engine oil and drive it. You could also try marvel mystery oil before your oil change. I have had luck with both freeing gummed up piston rings. Considering the high mileage it's more than likely worn parts, but it's worth a try.
Check out my other video's titled the 9 dollar cure for a sluggish car and the 15 dollar fix for poor acceleration. I cover seafoam treatment and MAF/Throttle body cleaning in those video's. Both processes will improve performance.
You're the first person who has told me to turn the ac on during the 5 min idle wait time at the end, now I dont know who to believe! LOL
Producedure states to shut off all accessories. I always shut it off. It works for me. Thanks for the comment.
@@the_baderbuilt Riiiight, but you clearly said to turn it ON
Thank you Sir. I never would have figured this out.
I tried this and now my car only plays christian rock music through the radio
Have you tried placing communion in the cd player?
😂😂😂
I laughed so hard to this I almost f**d up my relearn because my foot almost came off the pedal 😂😂😂😂😂
@@the_baderbuilt😂.... And tights and offering too😅
Hey so you said you can repeat the process if needed? Do I disconnect the battery again or can I just repeat the process without doing anything else
Absolutely. I have had to do it multiple times in the past. Just disconnect the battery and start again once the engine is cool. Thank God it's winter.
I learn so much from your videos, thank you!
hey boss do you need to disconnect the negative battery terminal for 15 or so minutes beforehand?
It's not a bad practice. I disconnect the battery, but not for a specific period.
I clean my throttlebody of my '05 V6 accord after cleaning it threw some code p2279 air intake leak.

Any recommandations 2007 accord with 300k miles for better engine performance. Already changed all filters and fluids.
Also has an oil consumption issue.

Does this work when you replace the entire the throttle body
I have never needed to follow a relearn procedure when installing a new TB. But it wouldn't hurt to do it.
Where is the minister of starting senza
I'm not sure what you mean.
Do I need to do it after cleaning the TB ? My question is when I need to perform a throttle body relearn ?
Only if you disturb the throttle blades.
