Reapers are still normal enemies and the other examples just aren’t killable at all. Regeneradors ARE killable by conventional means (guns/bullet) and are also not a boss/unkillable enemy.

I concur. Tho I’ll be toootally real. For some reason, the extra detail and jiggle mechanics on the new regenerators did kill a bit of the horror for me. Just a smidge. Was still fricken terrified to when I saw the first code-locked door. After that you just know what’s coming next. I do like that the snort breathing starts when you walk into the area now tho, really sets the scene.

I hate that feature just because in hardcore and professional mode nearly(if not all) regenerators "mutate" into an iron maiden..meaning you have to kill them 2 times each, it really kills the flow

I love the original RE4 and finished it many times, but I remember my first regenerator clearly: it was a summer morning, so the atmosphere was not creepy at all, but after my first two encounters with those creatures, when I went upstairs in my house alone, I felt like hearing that noise behind every corner and gave me chills

Funny enough that there is a note 2 feet away from the power (or keycard, can't remember) that tells you how to kill a regenerater. The TH-camr/ streamer curse continues (that you lose the will to read anything)
I mean some of them (like Gab, Ryan, and John) have played the OG RE4 so they know you have to kill them by taking out the parasites, but they just panic in the heat of the moment because you can’t even get the biometric scope until level 2 keycard. So they knew the enemy, it’s just that it’s so terrifying that you end up blindly shooting even if you knew what to do. Personally I have seen both Gab and Ryan’s play through and I know for a fact they’re both TH-camrs who read almost everything they see. I haven’t seen them skip many things before (maybe some ammo here and there but as far as notes go I know these two don’t skip out)
Capcom is such a troll here😂. In the original you can get the bioscope first before fighting the regenerador, but now we are forced to fend off 2 while we're scrambling and panicking to find the location of the bioscope.

Remembering every Parasite placement in its body and shoot it with a Sniper Rifle. This 2 Tactics work on both RE4s, and i'm doing the 2nd method on Professional just for the fun of it.

Some details that can explain about poiised is that the game has adaptative dificulty, slowly whithout telling you if you die a lot, it is acceptable for gameplays specially since they obviously didn't play the original, unless you play it in professional, but even that ome has it's set of problems, so more power to them
I killed the first regenerator but it took all of my ammo so I was forced to use the bolt thrower. After running around a bunch I found a glowy spot in the lower back and killed it.
I remember in the original, a strategy to kill them was to blast at the legs, shoot at the back with the TMP a hundred times, and then…I forgot the last part.

They were some of the few RE monsters that I wished to never see again. I get to this part and it was literally laid outEXACTLY like the OG. Except they let you hear the disheveled breathing early. I was terrified of those Regenerators back on the OG. And guess what... they started running in this one. Oh. joy to the world........

My advice for anyone that’s never really had good aim with the rifle get the CQBR full auto assault rifle from chapter 10 trust me it makes the encounter less stressful plus I believe it’s scope friendly
The better textures and graphics quality actually kinda take a lot of the guess work out of finding the organs without the scope. The bulges on its body line up with where the scope tells you the parasites are, so you should be able to kill it with the rifle without the scope. The bigger one on the stomach seems to either sway with the body's movement or wriggle on its own from time to time, which is a dead give away. Idk how they managed to make these things even more unsettling though. Damn things have always kinda creeped me out.

If your very skilled, what most people don’t know is that if your brave enough you can actually parry his attacks and instead of wasting ammo you can quick knife the parasites out the regenerator, but you have to be very skilled and brave to be good at it.
Playing it rn and jesus christ these things remind me of the Rasklapanje from RE6. Hated the music, hated the sounds they make, and hated dealing with them. But it's a given with RE games and thats why we love em 😬.
🙄 Aside of the fact that they are just in Resident Evil 4 and Redident Evil 4 Remake,they CAN be murdered by conventional weapons. You just need to know their weaknesses and where they are.
Killing them isnt that difficult, its just the problem of "If I pump all my ammo into this thing finding the plagas, will I have the means to deal with the next?"
