In the original, the Iron Maiden was just another Regenerator type. In the remake it's the second stage of the Regenerator which I adore because I did not expect it
I freaking love what they did with Iron Maiden’s in this one. The first one caught me completely off guard because in the original, they were just a separate version of the Regenerator, they didn’t actively mutate like this. Really makes me miss Crimson Heads
Imagine if they remade Resident Evil 1 again but by RE Engine, it would be awesome & scary killing zombies only for them to revive as Crimson Heads. When my brother played the 2002 remake, he was so afraid of the dead zombies left in the hallways possibly reviving as Crimson Heads that he would take the LONG way around to his destination rather then take the short ones where they could spawn and risk his ammo & health.
@@Batman-ps4om in this game the Regeneradors & Iron Maiden’s are the same compared to the original. After the mandatory battle with the 1st one, any Regeneradors you encounter afterwards with transform into Iron Maidens if fought and killed. There’s also a super Iron Maiden that’s optional to fight as it’s a mission from the merchant.
The original games version of them is incredibly easy to just not notice. It's just a regenerator with like one more spot to destroy and a different attack animation.
It was clever to combine Regenerador and Iron Maiden It not only makes for a good surprise, but instead of having 2 separate enemies, it turns already menacing Regeneradors into something even worse
@Spicy Dong yeah that caught me off guard when it turned into an iron maiden afterwards and it takes more than 1 shot to destroy the last parasite thats in it
The original game regeneradors ("regenerators" in the English version) were also kinda creepy but just not as much as this version. Their plagas parasites were pretty much always in the same positions (they were still somewhat memorable just bc of the difference in tactics in defeating them), the animations of the era were not as slick, and the way old RE games worked you could just zone out their spawn area and ignore them. The later ones you could just run right by as they spawn in and walk out the door behind them, which they changed in the remake by adding various types of sealed doors when you encounter them.
The original game had maybe two Iron Maidens in total at the very end of the game. Besides the spikes, they were more or less identical to the normal Regeneradors, so it's not that surprising that they weren't at the front of people's memories.
@@StudioMod No, you're right, there were 3 in the original. The first one was in the lab with the key card you needed, the other two in the garbage dump. You fight a total of three iron maidens in the OG RE4. Once to get the keycard to Ashley's cell and the second time is in garbage disposal area where you'll have to deal with two at a time.
You know, I gotta give respect to those who use the Bolt Action Rifle against the Regenerators. You have to have BALLS to use it against a super fast enemy like them. 😎👍
This is probably the best introduction for an Iron Maiden. I remember I had that regenerator encounter and then the mutation into the Iron Maiden happened, I thought ‘Holy Shit, I remember you…but not like this’. THIS is how you reintroduce a truly terrifying enemy. The tension is higher, it’s no longer ‘is there an Iron Maiden around?’, it’s now ‘Will this Regenerator transform into an Iron Maiden?’ as the fight isn’t over.
The target is already moving, constantly. You either have to wait for a clear shot, or shoot fast enough for you to hit it eventually. Plus, I feel like the reason this regenerator grows spikes is because the Plaga hardens its tentacles, and thus remains immobile, fully controlling the brain.
Actually if you're playing on hardcore or professional mode, the enemies are much agressive so it's so hard to hit the heart even after they are wiggling on the floor.
I recall there being 3 iron maidens in the original. 1 in a laboratory which you have to kill to get a key-card, and 2 more in the garbage disposal area: 1 just laying in the garbage that Ashley lands on that later wakes up when you pull a lever, and a second one that shows up when you push a bin into the water to cross a gap.
the iron maden ans the regenerators were both different from one another. The regenerators didnt turn into iron madens and didnt explode needles when they died. They only appeared a couple of times in the game and for the most part they didnt have an identity for themselves. They were just "the regenerators that were spiky"
Because death animations don't hurt the player in this game. This is the only enemy that harms the player when dying so it makes sense they think it'll be like any other animation.
And how would they know that in their first playthrough? I certainly didn't and it's not like the Iron Maiden from Og RE4 did that so can you really blame them?
The reason why the players are extremely surprised by the Iron Maiden of the remake is that in the original, other than the spikes, they acted and died pretty much the same as the regular Regeneradors. The Iron Maidens also had their spike attacks right from the beginning in the original, so it was pretty much the same regenerator with some spikes. The method and tactics to kill them in the original was absolutely the same, and their attack patterns too were the same as the Regeneradors, but with the added spikes. So for the most part it was more like a reskinned or variant of a regenerador but didn't require you to be extra cautious. In the Remake though, the creature reveals itself to be an Iron Maiden only in its second phase when the players believe they destroyed all the parasites within it. Until that phase, it looks and acts identical to any other Regenerador. That's the reason so many players got surprised even having played the original. Plus it seems the parasite that appears in the head maybe more than one or requires a more precise hit through it. And even when it dies, it shoots out its spikes. So there's a clear tier-level of a difference between a Regenerador and Iron Maiden in the remake. Which is what I both love and hate about the remake's Iron Maiden.
Actually, the reason why they slither instead of standing up again is in the original, the harder regenerators had one of their hearts on the back, wich meant that you needed to blow their legs, and then try hit that heart however, they slithered to you even faster than when they walk, so it was reaaaly risky but needed to defeat it, so it kinda was what you were comenting, it was a quick target hard to hit
In my first playthrough, the game bugged, so the 1st one did not pop out, so imagine my surprise when Ashley is holding the bridge section, an iron madien appears and jumps me
the few iron maiden acted more like a mini boss in the original one. Which is not considered a normal enemy. Plus iron maiden in the previous was an alternate type it never transformed, so this is new for the transformation of the regular regenerator to Iron M.

Seeing as it doesn't seem to take away the fun for him, consider that other people might not have the same experiences as you. Everyone can play however they like, based on what they enjoy.
Iron Maidens were around but only about 5 max, if not less. Also, they started right away as Iron Maidens unlike in Remake where they evolve into one after defeating a regenerator. Also, they did have the spikes and their big attack was if they grabbed you they would hit you with their spikes and that did big damage on you, and they also had about 5 or 6 parasites you needed to shoot vs the 3 the regenerators had.
The Iron Maiden to my knowledge only had TWO encounters and one of them you could easily skip. So it was a very Underused enemy because it had 5 Plaga you had to destroy, and the sniper could not penetrate straight through. 3 in front, 2 in the back. So it was difficult to kill.

What I love about the new Regenerador and Iron Maiden is just how HOT they are, I would totally do them. Have you seen their jiggle physics? Got some awesome moobs goin on BD
I don't know if It's because all the people who are playing re4r already know the enemy, but it seems like the iron maiden was such a wasted character, so easy to kill, it made me a little sad because I remember it being my trauma for when I was a child lol I like the new version, the attacks look quite more terrifying, but I do miss the "shaky" movement they had when the walked around, I think it was what made them so uncomfortable to look at, they looked like a "glitch" and something that "wasn't supposed to be there" but I guess that's probably just because of me
Nah screw these comments, Iron madens were super iconic, maybe not as regenarators since they were a second type from that enemy, but their original introduction on the original is super nerve wracking, I think the reason why most people didnt seem to remember them is because they are sort of a new enemy in this remake, since they come from regenarators now instead of being their own enemy, I absolutely love these guys and wish they twitched like in the original
I'm intrigued by your idea of the last parasite changing positions in the body... Maybe an addition in professional mode because these demons are difficult as is on hardcore.😐

That's a bad idea about the last plaga moving through iron maiden because it already takes enough bullets and it will be much harder for the people who are using controller to kill it
I think the iron maiden variant only comes out 1 time in the original re4 if i remember correctly when u get a keycard
Oh that would be a good enemy type
I think it being on the ground is actually harder, they still wiggle around quite a bit and pretty fast at that and they lunge at you over and over
I dont know if poiised is to sceard to play normal or he just want to cheat 😂😂
i think he's just too scared
@@majesticxerxes293 i think so to 🤣
@@majesticxerxes293 yeah but at the same time he shold not have cheat
man maybe that easy mode was not Enough for him
where is " TheRadBrad " ," MarkPlier " , " JackSepticEye " … … !?
It is stupid as hell to not have Ashley go in the locker. It’s there for a reason.
Why is Dashies thermal scope looks slightly different than the others? Looks like he is playing a regular PS5 version
What I love about the new Regenerador and Iron Maiden is just how HOT they are, I would totally do them. Have you seen their jiggle physics? Got some awesome moobs goin on BD
I don't know if It's because all the people who are playing re4r already know the enemy, but it seems like the iron maiden was such a wasted character, so easy to kill, it made me a little sad because I remember it being my trauma for when I was a child lol
I like the new version, the attacks look quite more terrifying, but I do miss the "shaky" movement they had when the walked around, I think it was what made them so uncomfortable to look at, they looked like a "glitch" and something that "wasn't supposed to be there" but I guess that's probably just because of me
Reminds me of a joke from bill and ted put them in the iron maiden iron maiden excellent
Nobody:
Hollow: 😐
I think there were two Iron Maidens in the og
you look like the grown-up version of ramon salazar
Ils n'ont jamais joué à Resident Evil 4 original?
Le Iron Maiden etait une bonne surprise sur GameCube.
Why the f did Poiised have 1.000+ Shotgun shells?
yeah i agree with you the parasite should be moving around so that it make this special enemies more harder
Tbf, they move their head a lot, plus unlike the other weak points, it takes multiple hits to kills it
Nah nothing beats the original iron maidens
Nah screw these comments, Iron madens were super iconic, maybe not as regenarators since they were a second type from that enemy, but their original introduction on the original is super nerve wracking, I think the reason why most people didnt seem to remember them is because they are sort of a new enemy in this remake, since they come from regenarators now instead of being their own enemy, I absolutely love these guys and wish they twitched like in the original
Funny enough, i think their "Idle animation" does twitch. At least it seemed like it..
I'm intrigued by your idea of the last parasite changing positions in the body... Maybe an addition in professional mode because these demons are difficult as is on hardcore.😐

😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
"The degenerates" 😂. Thats why i love Spanish hahaha, if u pronounce it wrong its funny af
unfair for the iron maiden and regenerator .thermal scope should be banned its shows there weak spots
that’s the whole point of the thermal scope
in my 3rd i think i did the door glitch to skip all of this
I laughed for 3 minutes straight cuz I got reminded that not so many people know Spanish and don’t know how to say Regenerador lmao
Eewww he said reganarooool 😂 regenerators
Ganados: Gah-Nah-Dose
It's not perfect but trust me my first language is Spanish
I want to see all these streamers play on professional mode without new game plus
Thank you for doing this ^^
Using other peoples content and putting your face in front of it is the coolest thing you could do.
@Reaction Reboot it’ll be cool if there was a El Gigante/Iron maiden hybrid that Leon has to fight
Poiise should change his name to pouusy
Can I request Leon vs Krauser first fight reaction?
They used to be insta killers
They still have that move in the remake
Imma snnnaaaaake
I know it's just a video game with these damn things haunts my nightmares I am always on edge when I'm playing the game and these things all around
😂😂😂 U can’t really pile up on ammo in this game 😂😂😂
Low Ammo anxiety the very 1st play thru.
take the heat sensing scope out, then it'll be a challenge. that scope makes it too easy.
the crawling & the Maiden itself, is not a problem, at all.
if you want a challenge, just don't use the scope. 🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♂️
