BTS tends to portray ideas and thoughts very well in their songs or videos. The complexity of most of his compositions beautifully expresses his creative and artistic choices. To do this, they use various devices and symbols, linking literary, psychological and social references. Repeating words is a deliberate literary device that puts emphasis on something and is called Epizeuxis. In this case, "bump, bump, bump" is the sound of the heartbeat and conveys the heightened sensation of anxiety; and, "jump, jump, jump" deepens the feeling of depression and dark thoughts, adding layers of complexity to the lyrics. In the case of "nah, nah, nah" and "yeah, yeah, yeah" the repetition makes the song accessible to BTS's multinational and multilingual audience where fans from diverse backgrounds can easily sing along, creating a sense of unity and connection. . “Black Swan” is inspired by the psychological theories of Carl Jung and explores the concept of “Shadow” which addresses the darkest things that exist in all of us and that we hide or repress, for example, our fears and doubts or our prejudices. It is based on the following quote from dancer and choreographer Martha Graham, “a dancer dies twice - once when she stops dancing, and this first death is the most painful”. That's why it's relatable to Tchaikovsky's famous ballet, "Swan Lake", where there's a character called Black Swan. This song has an essentially deep and personal meaning for BTS, as it refers to the fear of losing their passion for music. The video portrays the fight between light and darkness, with beautiful visuals, powerful choreography and emotional vocals, adding depth to the narrative and representing the artists' internal conflicts and emotions. But the lyrics end with the hope that they will fight this feeling by looking deeper into themselves, understanding their feelings, knowing themselves better, and using those feelings as inspiration to make more music. 💜🇧🇷💜🇧🇷💜🇧🇷💜

Excellent song, it carries a message of the artist's fear of not feeling emotions towards his art, like a first death. Black Swan stands out for its emotional honesty and exploration of the artistic psyche, resonating with many who have faced their own 'black swans' in life. Thanks Bob and Noel for the reaction, they enjoyed the song and choreography as much as I did.❤💜
In fact they were so exhausted from writing, composing, producing, singing rapping dancing practicing and concerts, perfomance's plus the trunk load of hate they were receiving they really were afraid and talking about disbanding in 2018. But the Rappers wrote and another track Outro: Tear and Suga aka Agust D) played to them all which talks about how the idea of disbanding would mean to them. The group cried and decided they didn't really want to disband and they just needed a little holiday. They took a week off and spent time relaxing together.
Head bopping is always a good sign. Yes, I get the feeling of not expecting these many levels of artistry coming from a "boy band, pop group". Welcome to the world that is BTS. No limits
Welcome 💜 I enjoyed your sincere reaction. I recommend maybe showing your brother the diversity in BTS discography, like 2021 Festa Room Live. That will give him snippets of b-sides, how good they are live and also reveal a bit of their personalities 😊. Looking forward to more BTS. Thank you. 💜

You and your brother get it, thank you for this reaction 💜 RM in particular, but all BTS members at various times, have spoken on their mental blocks, and their need for a temporary group hiatus before their military enlistment, to find their own voices and new inspiration for their music... Each member has released solo albums since their hiatus started to explore and present their own musical styles and they are all individually brilliant - which helps explain why they are so amazing when making music together as a group. Looking forward to more reactions from you! I can't wait to see how you respond to both group music and solo albums (particularly from the rappers: RM, Suga/AgustD, and jhope, since your brother leans towards rap and hip-hop)
This was such a genuine reaction. Love to see your brother fixating his eyes in awe onto the screen :) Maybe it's interesting for him, as a film maker, to know that BTS videos are usually top notch and in BTS's case there are always Behind-The-Scenes-Videos of the MVs. They rarely use green screens. It hardly gets any more artistic than Black Swan, but when it comes into visuals and film making I would recommend Fake Love next and then the ON MV (yeah, I know the kinetic maniphesto is always recommended, but the original MV is more interesting for a film maker).and from then on we can go back to pearls like Blood, Sweat and Tears and Not Today :)
BTS was suppose to be a hiphop group they started off very hip-hop. They have 3 rappers and 4 vocalist. He will definitely enjoy the rapline. Outro tear live is one of my all time favorite rapline songs.
Army will not be turned off when you watch a video twice! You first watch it for the overall makeup of the MV, then you watch again to concentrate on the lyrics while you also rewatch the video in the background. First time watching this channel, the first thing I noticed was the guy on the left kind of looks like Rob Lowe when he was young.
loved this reaction! So nice to see people surprised by aspects of BTS, slowly unraveling and opening their mind, forgetting their prejudices against this "kpop" group. Keep it up!
I think he would really like rap line's Outro Tear live performance at the Wembley or from Japan concert for next reaction. You know there is no choreo and the song has a deep meaning.
I love your brother's analysis! And, of course, I agree with everything he said. BTS is art, pure art. Their videos are cinematic, their dance is not "cheesy", as he said, but pure dance, and their lyrics... one of the main reasons I fell in love with them four years ago.
I absolutely love the raw reaction. Looking forward to your insights and thoughts in the mv and songs.. considering from what your brother told.. he'd definitely love BTS bcs of the lyricism videography filmography and etc in their music.. I'd like to recommend to react to a lyric video as well after the mv so that maybe then he can fully focus in the mv and then lyrics individually.. Good luck with the channel and 341st subscriber here ❤🙌
10:32 2020 was supposed to be the last tour as 7 members because he was mandatory for Jin to go to the military after his birthday he is born in December. As they explained in the festa dinner they had to go to so many backup plan and re-create new avenues for themselves ! As a seven unit they created eras so they have been creating a lot around concepts, 20-21-22-23-24 are off the selves innovative compositions so the comeback to a new era is foreseeable They have been creating for more than a decade They are so skillful hard working individuals

Great job! Its ok to go back to read the lyrics on a second watch or beforehand you (sorry don't know your name) can get a little info about the song's meaning & MV behind the scenes info (example: practical/real effects in Mic Drop & Fake Love. ON was filmed at an L.A. Dam w/ a famous dance group called The Lab) tell your brother during the reaction. I recommend the MV's: Fake Love, On-Kinetic Manifesto Film, Mic Drop
Actually BTS has 3 rapppers. RM, Suga/AgustD and J Hope. Do check out their stuff. You’ll like it for sure! 1. RM Wildflower MV, Groin MV 2. Suga/ AgustD Daechwita MV, Haegum MV and Amygdala MV they’re a triology. 3. J Hope Daydream MV, More MV, Arson MV. There are also songs like cyphers part 1-4 where the rapline are together.
Liked how you watched your brother for reactions. I do that too!Brother did a good job talking about losing the passion. He picked up a lot on the first view. I couldn’t read lyrics on my first few views with so much going on visually.
I like your reactions, you pay attention and listen with focus without making a sound, the video quality is good and you are guys handsome😄🙈, Very good, or maybe it's better for you to think after the video without pausing in the middle 😊
This song is from their Map of the Soul series which explores the theories of Carl Jung. While Black Swan explores their fears (the "Shadow"), their song ON explores their determination of conquering those fears. That's why many suggest ON Kinetic Manifesto film. Other videos that are beautiful and cinematic masterpieces are Blood, Sweat and Tears or Fake Love. B,S & T was performed in 2016. Fake Love is from 2018, (they have many many others as well). 💜
to me, a guy interested in film, I would think you should go back to N.O, I Need You, Run ... these mvs are early but lay the foundations for their great mvs.
Thanks! So much fun to see his face fill with amazement! I wonder if the "Black Swan" he saw before was the art film that was released (filmed in Europe) by the dance group of this exact song, but released prior to this MV? Definitely recommend: Blood Sweat and Tears, Spring Day, the Astronaut. The explanation videos by DKDKTV would be helpful I think to someone trying to get a deeper understanding to specifically Korean references in the MV's. Save Me is fun since it was all done in one take. Lastly, V's acting in IU's MV "Love Wins All" is something a filmmaker could appreciate, that MV is stunning.
hes a hiphop dude, introduce him to their hiphop songs, also i like how chill he was about reacting to them, you dont always get such an open-minded and nice reaction when ppl are 1st reacting to kpop
BTS debvuted in 2013 as a hip hop Idol group, and their core is Hip Hop and R&B. They have since incorporated many different genre's into their sound, and they write and produce most of their music. RM and SUGA were both from underground rap in South Korea. And J-Hope came from street dance. RM actually wrote this song, and he cried while writing it. They covered the topic of dealing with their shadows. Carl Jung's theory of individuation was the theme of the Map of the Soul Series, and this album was #1 worldwide in 2020. I think since he is a rap guy, he should check out the Map of the Soul songs from our rap guys, I will link them below. and the titlte track, which is my favorite title track of BTS ever. And BTS are performance artists and interpretive dance, and hip hop dance. You can see how their dance tells the story of the song they are singing/rapping. I've included links to songs with English subtitles, and I've included their first live performance in front of ARMY at BUSAN for UGH!. They released Map of the Soul: 7 during the pandemic, so their live performances of the song were online concerts with no in person fans. The energy level is very different, so I wanted to include their BUSAN performance, because it's superior to any other performance of this song, in my opinion. The energy exchange between BTS and ARMY is on another level. I've experienced it in person twice in concert with BTS and once with AGUST D. I've included the lyrics which you should definitely read first before watching the UGH! performance. The links with subtitles I provided are English, so if your native language is not English, you can look it up in the TH-cam search bar. Their are ARMY's in every country that add subtitles to BTS's songs. So I'm sorry if the ones I provide are not of use to you. 💜🇧🇷
Hi! Since he is entering this BTS world, it would be interesting for him to watch the guide to bts members the bangtan 7, which talks about each one individually, and shows how much they have been through and achieved so far, all the members of the group have solo songs, it is worth taking a look.
That's The Shadow' and this is from their album series called Map of the Soul exploring Jungian Psychology and applying it to their own lives. Persona, Shadow and Ego Shadow is where we hide/store our deepest darkest fears, thoughts and we have to make piece with that part of ourselves (conquer it) so it doesn't effects us badly.

I think a filmmaker would like 'ON' Kinetic Manifesto Film : Come Prima. 🇧🇷
Thank you. 💜
Because he's a filmmaker and appreciates artistic dance/expression, I suggest BTS's Fake Love. :)
They are a genre of their own❤
✨BTS-POP✨
I really do not consider then as Kpop
Suga(Agust D) and Jhope are also amazing rappers. Daechwita Agust D maybe your brother would like, also Haegeum Agust D. Also Arson J hope.
And more, chicken noodle soup ft beaky g from j hope
@@maamewrekoaa4657 yes love those ones

👋 🇲🇽
Always in for a BTS reaction. Loved your reaction btw.
Gracias por reaccionar a nuestros Reyes,ArmyLatam💜🫶🇵🇾Py
loved this reaction!
Might be too early. How is he supposed to understand that? Later, for sure!
If I had to pick a favourite song, this would be it. Idk Black Swan is so amazing. This is an ARMY right here 💜. What a way to start the BTS journey
I love your brother's analysis! And, of course, I agree with everything he said. BTS is art, pure art. Their videos are cinematic, their dance is not "cheesy", as he said, but pure dance, and their lyrics... one of the main reasons I fell in love with them four years ago.
I would call it "contemporary/classical - trap" 😇
I think he would love mic drop cause the lyrics are easy to understand its catchy hip hop song he will like.....

Paradise - BTS
Silver Spoon - BTS
Outro: Tear - BTS
10:32 2020 was supposed to be the last tour as 7 members because he was mandatory for Jin to go to the military after his birthday he is born in December.
As they explained in the festa dinner they had to go to so many backup plan and re-create new avenues for themselves !
As a seven unit they created eras so they have been creating a lot around concepts, 20-21-22-23-24 are off the selves innovative compositions so the comeback to a new era is foreseeable
They have been creating for more than a decade
They are so skillful hard working individuals
Your voice is so peaceful, i hope u make a podcast or something like that

Not today, buen video, buenas letras, buena coreografía. 👍
03:21 omg, your expression is priceless - and so relatable as a Recruiter ARMY.
Jimin new MV for "Who", he would really appreciate this one
It is a big production to take on first, an intense performance. They are a very versatile group 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
"a guide to bts members the bangtan 7 " If you watch this, you will have a chance to get to know the members better❤
I am waiting another reaction about BTS..💜
My favourite BTS song ever❤
BTS FOREVER .... ARMY FOREVER ....
BTS ON MV is very powerful and I highly recommend it as a masterpiece with lots of efforts and hardwork
He's about to love choreo in mvs now 😂 cuz BTS choreos are closely related to their songs.
BTS: OUTRO live performance please

Black Swan is BEAUTIFUL AND AMAZING I LOVED THE DANCING 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜👍🏼😊😊😊💜💜😊😊😊😊
Liked how you watched your brother for reactions. I do that too!Brother did a good job talking about losing the passion. He picked up a lot on the first view. I couldn’t read lyrics on my first few views with so much going on visually.
I like your reactions, you pay attention and listen with focus without making a sound, the video quality is good and you are guys handsome😄🙈, Very good, or maybe it's better for you to think after the video without pausing in the middle 😊
Thanks so much that reaches ❤
My favorite song .
Thanks.
Thank you so much for reacting on bts do more reactions 💜
Thank you for reacting to BTS
Thank you 💜💜💜
Thanks for the reaction ,guys ❤️🩹🫂
Dice BTS, y aquí estoy 😅💜
Love the reaction!
💜
Aqui pelo BTS sempre 💜💜💜🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
Bts dance always tells the story of the song
to me, a guy interested in film, I would think you should go back to N.O, I Need You, Run ... these mvs are early but lay the foundations for their great mvs.

Thanks you guys 😊🙏🏻
I love this song 🫶🏻💜
