    Tried to do this, went and bought like $50 worth of tools to mod $30 headphones, after 3 hours and burnt hands I finally did it, I really underestimated how tiny the connectors are.

      @@sgaudiohive yeah they are some excellent headphones I use to love bass but now I prefer the 75s to the potaPro much more rounded sound and way better for phone calls 😄

      Yaxi pads are really expensive for what it is but i found alternative (not as good as yaxi pads but still better than original). there is Poyatu pads on aliexpress they are 1$ for pair they are big and comfy i recommend it and u can literally buy 12 of them for price of yaxi pads so why not

    Thank you! This looks so easy a caveman can do it. 😁 Just ordered 2 pairs off of Drop a few days ago. Want one with PE Headband and one normal. This makes it even better. Makes me sad you like the KPH30is better but I really don't like ordering off of Amazon and Drop won't have another batch till the end of the month. Did so many video reviews. These are for the little gaming I do and DT770s are still to small for my ears. Thank you again, take care and stay safe.

    hi, thanks for the tutorial! i've never done this sort of thing before and these headphones are a bit expensive where i live unlike in the west where people can buy them for like 10 bucks lol, so i want to make them more durable by replacing the apparently flimsy cable with a good one. but since i haven't done anything like this before, i'm afraid of screwing up and harming the headphones in any way. do you think a beginner can pull this off? it seems simple enough and i don't see much being done that can possibly harm the headphones but still i wanted to ask if i can somehow screw this up and ruin my headphones lmao

    • @sgaudiohive
      @sgaudiohive  2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      There is little room for failure here, just cut a longer wire and you will be fine as there will be no work on the driver itself

      @@sgaudiohive thanks, i bought moondrop chus for quite a bit cheaper and the only problem i'm having is with the filters (i keep moving them slightly with my wacom pen to fix the problems lol) so i don't need to get ksc75s anymore

    My KSC75 headphones always break around the ear, the wire shorts out or something. Someone told me to do a mmcx detachable mod to see if it would fix. It is $30 for a soldering iron but maybe I will do it. Sick of having to buy new KSC75 every time they break. These are not so cheap in Canada. Around $55 every time.

    What is the grey colored putty used in the video to hold the connectors for soldering and apparently to periodically clean his fingers?

    • @sgaudiohive
      @sgaudiohive  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's a blutack, it's called tack in some region. It's not used to clean the fingers actually, just reshaping it so it can hold things in different height or orientation. It can be used to clean grime and gunk of Iem and headphones at hard to reach places

    Mmcx has different sizes in the connector? Because i don't know which cable to buy since it would not fit with that mmcx, and the link that you shared (the mmcx connector link) shows the price by "1P" but I don't know if it mean that it's just one piece of connector or it's a pair of connectors
