    I just tried this today. Soldered the Massdrop KC75 to TRN BT2, works great. Battery life is around 5 hours. This is an incredibly easy mod. I have the ES100s as well, however, I hate all the dangling wires, so this setup works great. A big thanks to this channel for suggesting the mod. I had all the components lying around and never considered it.

      yo I just finished this exact mod... soldering mmcx connectors is a HUGE pain in the ass. I got 3d printed shells for the mmcx female adapter off of ShapeWays and the mmcx connectors from alibaba... the exact ones that the thingiverse post link to. the issue is that you need to kinda tear up the connector in order to have any chance of soldering it. There's a little bit of the thread mass that juts out higher than the center (+) core. You should probably tear that off with pliers or something because otherwise tinning the center core is just going to bridge the gap between the jutting piece of the thread wall.

  • @j_a_a
    @j_a_a 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    You should check out the Audeze isine 10! They fit on the outside of the ear like the KSC75s but they extend into the ear like iems. They are open back so you can hear everything around you, and they are planar magnetic so they sound so damn good. Getting the comfort right is a little finicky, but I can wear mine all day without any discomfort. The price is much higher than the KSC75s but they can be found under $200 and they are absolutely worth it. I love your channel for all the high quality sff content, keep up the great work!

    • @Tekeverything
      @Tekeverything  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I had the isine 10 actually... I couldn't deal with the overall lack of detail and reduced treble. I really want to try some of their higher end models at some point.

    • @j_a_a

      @@Tekeverything Thanks for the quick reply! Yeah, the new LCD i3 looks very promising but I'm sad to hear you didn't like you're 10s. We're you using the cipher cable? There's a lighting to USB c adapter now that enables it to work on Android's. Does the KSC75s have better treble and detail? I only have the shure se215s and Vmoda Crossfade wireless so I don't have many things to compare to.

    • @Tekeverything
      @Tekeverything  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes, I tried the Cipher cable. That helps a lot but I really don't like having to use it. I would rather have headphones that work well with any device. Planar magnetic headphones can struggle with treble... The KSC75 does have better highs imo

    • @johnbuscher
      @johnbuscher 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah, but now you have a long extended cable and a dongle-y thing to carry on your ears. This is a fairly decent mod, actually better than the Porta Pros Wireless in terms of keeping the cables small and unobtrusive.

    • @azimpetra
      @azimpetra 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Walter Dibs unless you’re going $300+ range. No.
      Not even worth it currently. Stick to ES100 or BTR3.
      Tried BTR3 but i bought 2 ES100. Mainly because of the app it has, other than that, they’re ‘pretty much’ equal.
      If you see people saying it has too much plastic, ignore ‘em. Its for bluetooth. Plus they feel soft. Soft like the Dual Shock 4 controller, on the touch pad.
      Multifunctional, I use it everywhere. From home, on the way to work, at work. Since you can basically use ‘em as usb dac on pc.
      I’m sure most people don’t even have a sound card in their pc, specially in the office.

      I have the KSC75's and the KPH30i's. The 75's are definitely more detailed but lack low end. The 30i's have nice bass but lack the detail and clarity up top. They are both great depending on what you are listening to.

    Just a suggestion for those less practical. 😉
    "Fiio - Btr3k" is a Bluetooth > 3.5mm/2.5mm{balanced) adapter for around £70. 😁✌️
    It also has the advantage that you can plug anything into it, headphone's, iem's, car stereo... The list goes on. 😁✌️
    (I own the Btr5 [£100, ^it's big brother] and it sounds great with the ksc75's. 🤤 Guessing the Btr3k will sound just as good on low resistance gear, like the ksc75's. 😉)
    £70(Btr3k)+£18(ksc75)=£88
    (Within £100 budget, you could probably stretch and get some "yaxi pads", too make the ultimate budget experience. 😉✌️)
    Thanks for your time, and have a great day. 😁✌️
    P.s. loved the video. 🤗
