- Hello. Had the car for almost 7 months now. Very solid experience with the vehicle. Still have some minor gripes and Tesla service is still painful, but the car is pretty good. Over 7K miles and hopefully to many more! Will answer questions in the comments below. Thanks for watching!

The lfp rwd m3 has a really good charging curve. Even though it only maxes out at 175kw compared to the higher trims thats gets up to 250kwh, it holds higher charging speeds deeper into the pack than the nca counter parts, and because its the most efficient tesla, you get comprable if not at times better miles per hour charge than a lot of their higher trims.
Nice video, thanks for the info
The white is starting to grow on me
White interior is the bomb…
You can activate those 4 speakers on the A pillers with a kit. There are other TH-cam videos on it and it's actually pretty easy. Improves the sound system a good bit. It was annoying that the speakers are actually there but tesla disconnected them from the system.
Hello, I am aware of these kits. I thought about doing that as well but to be honest, I don't mind the sound quality. Definitely understand people that want to use it to get the full quality though!
Why is it not activated in the beginning??
@@series25a Because Tesla is trying to differentiate the sound system of the base trim from the upper trims, and at scale, it's cheaper for them to leave the speakers in the A pillers unplugged, instead of removing them completely.
It's supposed to be saved as an exclusive feature for going to the higher tier long range model as opposed to the base standard range@@series25a
what about the warranty?
Does your paint on the front door has this white/gray shade and doesnt match the rear door? I had that issue on my 2020 Model 3 and they had to re-paint both front doors, that off shade was only visible in over casted sky.
Not from what I can see. The rear bumper is a slightly different shade from the rest of the car but I believe that is common
Great video! I have a few questions for you…are you still charging your car at a 100% only once a week? And at what percentage do you let it drop before charging? Because most people are recommending to charge our M3 SR at a 100% daily. So I do it anyway.
For your tint, what percentages did you go with on your windshield, side windows and rear? Lastly, when you had a Tesla tech come out to replace your headlight, did you through your mobile app to request for service and do they tell you if it’s covered prior to showing up? Sorry I’m a newbie here just got my 2023 M3 RWD about a week ago.
Hello. I still charge my car to 100% once a week. The amount of driving I do lines up to when I need to charge. Generally, I let my car go below 30% before charging. Yes you can charge the car to 100% daily if you need to since LFP is more resistant to degradation. However, you don't want the car to sit at high state of charge the entire time since its still a lithium type battery. So you can charge to 80-90% and then 100% when the week is coming to a close. For tesla service, i request service in the app and they will send you an invoice that can show as zero. You can also talk to the SA to make sure it's covered under warranty.
@@FeaturePeter thanks Peter! Also, how dark did you go on your tint?
50% front windshield, 20% sides and rear@@YagurlShey
@@FeaturePeter looks nice!
what is the advertised range of your vehicle and what do you actually get off it?
my friend has a model y standard range+ wltp range of 480km and reports real world range of 440km so in his usage, the wltp range is pretty accurate...
Asking because I am planning to buy a new model highland of claimed wltp range 550km.
Not to sure about the WLTP range since I am in the U.S. I get about 75%-80% of my estimated 272 EPA range during decent weather conditions and with my AC at 70F on low speed. Not a heavy foot driver either. Other external factors can affect range such as cross winds. During winter, your range will decrease more.
At a Supercharger (or at home), does the final 10% of charging your car's LFP battery to get from 90% to 100% also take a really, really long time as it does with NMC batteries?
At home, you won't really notice it. 20%-100% takes around 6 1/2 hours at 32 amps in my experience using the mobile charger. For supercharging, it does take a bit to get to 100%. 10%-80% took me about 25-30 minutes. 80% - 100% took about an extra 20-25 minutes. The car might say it's at 100% but you will see on the display that it is still calibrating the battery. Hope this helps!
I just plugged in at 88%- 1hr 25m remaining.
@@Whatsthedeal2210 I assume that's not at a Supercharger?
Yes, this is at home with the Tesla wall charger- 2023-Model 3 rwd 32a.
Just for reference- the mobile wall connector at 12a with it 89% took 5hr 45min. Recently Had the wall charger installed.
Your range of 266 at ~7500 miles was identical to my M3 LFPcar (new November 2022). At 8100 miles it has just dropped to 265 miles.
Consistent! Hope your Model 3 has been good to you
@@FeaturePeter Happy other than Tesla Vision which is a disappointment.
My M3 RWD has gone from 273-267 in a bit less than 6000 miles (purchased June 2023).
Tesla vision is not the best. I simply do not trust it when it comes to parking.@@zag164
@@BobbieGWhizMine was about 269-270 around with those miles, at 263 with 34k miles not bad
Peter, did your M3 start out at 272 miles/full charge and dropped to 266 over 7 months? Your watt-hrs/mile is low., you don't drive with a heavy foot!
Yes! I would consider myself a conservative driver lol. I expect more degradation to happen as the months go by but it should flatten out over a year.
I had so many creaking sound. Bending sound and also the paint is really bad. They were never able to find the creaks and rubbing sound, I owned the car for 1 year and a half, but I dont see my self owning the car for longer than that. So I already sold it.
I definitely hear you. Tesla needs to up the quality and service of the vehicles. I personally would not mind getting another one later on, but definitely keeping an eye on the competition for better offerings.
What type of tint did you get?
Xpel Ceramic XR Plus. Car still gets hot during summer or in direct sunlight, but helps maintain the AC temps better.
@@FeaturePeter I’ll bet lol
I’m getting mine tinted too. I actually had the sides done and now waiting to do the front and rear (didn’t have time to do it all at once)
I’m going xpel too. XR for the sides and rear and XR plus for the windshield
Since I only have the sides done I can definitely tell the difference when driving.
The heat coming through the side (with tint) is like a heater at the lowest level vs the windshield without which is like being under a heat lamp.
I don’t want to eliminate heat altogether but be comfortable warm if that makes sense.
@@FeaturePeter oh I got removable sun shields
Really like em, pretty cheap under $30, and transforms the car for a hardshell feeling
Takes a minute to install/remove
Most definitely. I still put my hand to my tinted windows when the sun is out just to gauge the heat I feel coming through and it's low
